What's your favourite music artist?
On 2021-01-27 at 04:19:24
Despite the hot water the band leader got into recently, I'll always fucking love Iced Earth.
Other than that, here's a quick list of what I've been listening to recently.
-Overkill
-Voivod
-Kreator
-At The Gates
-Sepultura
-Type O Negative
-Mercyful Fate
-Exhorder
-Nevermore
-Carcass
Definitely more, but all I care looking up for right now.

Walls missing from SNES Bowser's Castles?

Probably something with the coding of the theme treating it like rainbow road. Don't know for certain though.
Either way it's here and here to stay.

Ranking The Mario & Luigi Games

I've always had a soft spot for Partners in Time, never got much of the hate for it. If anything, I think the only reason it's forgotten is because it's sandwiched in between 2 other great games, so it gets lost in the shuffle.
The only other one I played in much any capacity was Bowser's Inside Story.

Thoughts on Pokemon 25th Anniversary Direct
On 2021-02-27 at 06:13:36
It's still better than whatever Game Freak is going to shart out come 2021 (any one of Diamond and Pearl remakes, Let's Go Johto, or Ultra Sword/Ultra Shield).
Well the 25th anniversary direct just came out today. Might as well give my thoughts on it.
The first 5 minutes are pretty much a recap of the last 25 years of Pokemon. Nothing essential but if you wanted the world's fastest history lesson on Pokemon, here you go I guess. After some general introductions, some more footage of the new Pokemon Snap game is shown (called New Pokemon Snap, how creative). Honestly it looks pretty good. Nothing amazing but the graphics look pretty solid, even if the gameplay in question will probably be no more advanced than the original Pokemon Snap. That online photo sharing is definitely going to be hell on earth to moderate though. Apparently there's also going to be special events in S/S and Cafe Mix (which I've never heard of until now?), ending about Sunday 7pm EST. Pokemon Go also has special events going on, legendary bird raids and whatnot. Masters EX also has some stuff going on.
Well it looks like the long-awaited Sinnoh remakes are here. At least I was right on one of my predictions.
Those graphics look really off, it's a weird mix of what they did in LGPE and a chibi art-style and I don't like it. I'd reasonably expect the games to be dumbed-down seeing as that's the trend they've been on ever since Platinum. Not something I'm super excited for since I still have the originals but if you don't have them (I 100% expect those prices to skyrocket on the 2nd-hand market), I'd imagine it wouldn't be too bad of an option, especially seeing as Game Freak isn't the one developing it. Does that mean I'm technically wrong about the thing I said earlier? Maybe, but I don't give enough of a shit, so I'll keep it that way.
Now I don't think anyone saw this next one coming.
Seeing the Legends Arceus trailer was actually quite an odd experience, almost cathartic. Not 100%, since the models still don't look updated (it's been nearly 8 years now, the same actually applies for the D/P remakes but I don't think they were designed for graphics in mind), but it's quite the risk that they took. I think it's a bit early to put my definitive opinions (Not too much gameplay was shown), but I do really hope it turns out to be good (might even get it second-hand if it turns out to be good enough).
Anyways, those are my thoughts on the direct. What are yours?
What if I told you I got super Mario 3d world + bowser’s fury the day it came out?
On 2021-02-16 at 04:59:05
Think I've only had that happen twice, one with the Wii U version of Mario Kart 8 and the other with Star Fox Zero. I do remember getting Super Mario Galaxy 2 scarily close to release date though.
Shame that the GameStop I got them from has been gone for over a year now.

We'll be added to speedrun.com ???
On 2021-01-25 at 04:32:56
Our goal is to develop peacefully our game far away from Nintendo, to avoid getting deleted in the literal sense of it.
Thank you for your will to help us, but before doing anything to promote MKPC like you would like to do, let us debate about it for some days, because I think you understand when I meant we can be sued by Nintendo at any given moment.
I'm actually surprised Ninty hasn't gotten this yet, considering this has been a thing for 10+ years now and it's more popular than ever.
Remember 4 years ago when you couldn't criticize Ninty without getting blasted?
How times have changed...
If they were still making good games, I would 100% support them, but alas, the Switch's first party offerings are 90% Wii U ports. So I'm voting with my wallet and not supporting their stuff until they make good games again.
Anyways speedrun.com isn't mandatory to register to "officially" speedrun on. The Mario Kart Players' Page has existed for some 25 years now and is seen as a legitimate leaderboard for people's personal records in time trials. By all means, we already have leaderboards to use, but I guess full game runs are all the hype now?
To each their own but if there already is a built in mode made for the explicit purpose of speedrunning, I see full game runs as mostly if not totally superfluous.
Super Mario 3D Allstars VS. Super Mario Allstars (switch)
On 2021-01-28 at 15:48:08
I've said this before but I see 3D-All Stars as mostly redundant (for me anyways) and a slight rip-off, seeing as it tries to fix what's not broken (revamping the HUD textures of both SM64 and SMS). Still it's likely the cheapest way to get all 3 in a bundle for now (since Gamecube nostalgia-hype is in max force right now) so if you don't have any of the 3 games, by all means go for it.
If the version of All Stars with SMW was more common (neither the 25th anniversary edition for Wii nor the 35th anniversary re-release for Switch Online use that release), that would definitely take the cake, but as of now, it's a toss-up.
I'd imagine 3D-All Stars would hold more mass appeal since Nintendo's attempts at the New Super Mario Bros. Franchise haven't exactly gone over too well in hindsight, and the last 2D platformer before that would be (I think) Yoshi's Island all the way back in 1995.
My personal pick is standard All Stars but only by a slim margin (and only because either a friend or I own the games on 3D-All Stars, and that friend is literally 2 minutes away). Had it contained Super Mario World like it should have, then it would win no questions asked.

Today´s topic is about zizagoons.
I've been doing a Pokemon Emerald Nuzlocke on and off for a small while, I have its evolution on the backburner in case one of my party members die. Currently it's Number 3 in line behind a Sandshrew I caught in the Mirage Tower and an Elektrike I nabbed on Route 118.

Mario Kart: Double Dash!! [:] Double Fun, Double Problems

If the controls worked with the tracks given, then it would be a half decent kart, albeit the weakest pre-MKW. Unfortunately they don't, and the only track I can really stand is Wario Colosseum.
Verdict: Every track is the ice track.

8: MKDD
7: MK8U
6: MKW

Super Mario 35th Anniversary Direct
On 2020-09-13 at 11:06:15
2. 4 or 5 games on one cartridge is alot of work. If they did do it, there is no way Nintendo would still charge it for 60 bucks.
Maybe a little late for this bump but might as well.
-Halo: The Master Chief Collection has 6 technically more impressive games (all with graphical upgrades) for $40.
-Both the Crash N-Sane trilogy and the Spyro Reignited trilogy are $40 each which are all ground-up remakes.
Nintendo could maybe slide by charging this like $30 and maybe having this as a release with a larger more anticipated game like what with Sega did with Sonic Mania/Forces (gesture towards the past while looking towards a bright future), but $60 is a bit much for what's essentially 3 ports of semi-retro games that (aside from Sunshine) are still available for decently cheap on Wii/Wii U. It's not a matter of how much work needs to be put in (seeing as Super Mario 64 is in 4:3 and 30 fps when fangames have put it at 16:9 and 60 fps), it's a matter of branding.
What makes less sense is that this is marketed as the star attraction for Mario this year. Granted, Super Mario's 25th anniversary game was just as if not more half-assed (a port of Super Mario All-Stars with some extra goodies), but Galaxy 2 had come out 6 months prior which on its own could have acted as a 25th anniversary game, and it wasn't marketed as the hot new system seller 3D All-Stars is. Now, the last original Mario game that came out was Odyssey almost 3 years ago, so seeing what is for the most part a rom and 2 iso's be marketed as the huge release baffles me.
What ultimately breaks the camel's back here in my opinion that the game is a) in a limited physical release, so it's mostly digital and b) the digital release is only available for 6 months, and after that is gone forever. The first one is mostly personal preference (I grew up in an age where digital downloads for new games weren't really a thing, and I'd say about 95% of all the media I personally own are still on physical media), so maybe others aren't super bothered by it. The second one however is inexcusable. I get that consoles become unprofitable to maintain and thus games stop being made and printed for them (I mean you aren't going to see any game for a console that's older than 15 years old in your local Gamestop), but the Switch is nowhere close to that point. In just 3 years, the Switch sold 60 million units, a number I'm sure only the DS and the PS2 could claim to have even matched. I'd expect to see the Switch to be produced at least for the next 7-8 years, so having a limited release game at this stage seems incredibly scummy. In addition, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the big new Mario game for at least the next 3 years because I'd imagine they'll still be rereleasing Wii U games by the time the system finally bites the dust (maybe they'll start rereleasing Gamecube and Wii games once the Wii U well runs dry? lol).
I personally have quick and easy access to all 3 in the form of my own copy of Super Mario 64 DS, a friend's copy of Super Mario Sunshine, and my own copy of Super Mario Galaxy, so I don't have much incentive to buy it. Maybe others aren't as fortunate as I (it's probably the cheapest way to buy Sunshine for now if nothing else), but that's the position I'm in.
Might as well give my thoughts on the rest of what was offered in the Mario 35 direct.
-Super Mario Bros. 35 is a neat little idea, basically Tetris 99 in Super Mario Bros form. I don't know why it's only playable for like 6 months but it is I guess.
-The Super Mario Bros. Game and Watch is a little overpriced and gimmicky but nothing horrible, if it was a little cheaper I would definitely pick it up.
-Super Mario 3D World+ is another Wii U port.
-Mario Kart Live is OK, I would have gone crazy for this had it released in 2012 but it's been over 6 years since we've received a brand new Mario Kart and 15 since we've received a kart of significant quality. Plus $100 is a little steep for what amounts to a kind-of-but-not-really Mario Kart Maker.
-The new merch is neat, I already have a fair amount so I don't see much need to get more but if you don't have I'd imagine it could be a good starting point.
-The Super Mario All-Stars release is pretty inoffensive, I don't know why they didn't include the version with Super Mario World (the 25th anniversary release also didn't use that version) but whatever I guess, it's free with Online.
Overall, it's a bit disappointing overall, it's just too little for what they're advertising as this big thing. Everything is either hampered some baffling decisions by Nintendo or simply coming at the wrong time.
It's still better than whatever Game Freak is going to shart out come 2021 (any one of Diamond and Pearl remakes, Let's Go Johto, or Ultra Sword/Ultra Shield).
Anyways happy 35th to Super Mario Bros.
Stop saying Bad words

This is what OP sounds like
With all seriousness, it's unfeasible to expect this from a community of any significant scale, this one included. If children see it, fine, encourage them not to say it and go on. It's impossible to shield them forever (and it's probably a bad idea to do so anyways), so might as well teach them a lesson about not saying it.

The last year I did it was in 2018, last year I had work that day, and this year I guess it just doesn't appeal to me as much as it did.
If I'm not giving out candy (or at work) I'm most likely going to be jamming out to the "new" Mr. Bungle album for most of the day.

iirc a thread of this nature was created a small while ago. Not a super huge deal though.
I have it, and I went through a lap or so of the tracks a couple months back. I'd say about half of them are good, and half of them aren't. I'd personally stick to the base game but this just might just be worth it based on Wiimmfi, loved doing online when Nintendo WFC was still up, and Wiimmfi works so that's neat.

Clue 1:
This Pokémon's name sounds like the name of something you wear.
Wouldn't that be Abra?
That's not what I'm thinking of.
Clue 2: It's a gen 5 Pokémon.
Still stumped
Clue 3: The Pokémon is a Fighting type.
Should be Sawk then.
