Thoughts on Pokemon 25th Anniversary Direct

It's still better than whatever Game Freak is going to shart out come 2021 (any one of Diamond and Pearl remakes, Let's Go Johto, or Ultra Sword/Ultra Shield).
Well the 25th anniversary direct just came out today. Might as well give my thoughts on it.
The first 5 minutes are pretty much a recap of the last 25 years of Pokemon. Nothing essential but if you wanted the world's fastest history lesson on Pokemon, here you go I guess. After some general introductions, some more footage of the new Pokemon Snap game is shown (called New Pokemon Snap, how creative). Honestly it looks pretty good. Nothing amazing but the graphics look pretty solid, even if the gameplay in question will probably be no more advanced than the original Pokemon Snap. That online photo sharing is definitely going to be hell on earth to moderate though. Apparently there's also going to be special events in S/S and Cafe Mix (which I've never heard of until now?), ending about Sunday 7pm EST. Pokemon Go also has special events going on, legendary bird raids and whatnot. Masters EX also has some stuff going on.
Well it looks like the long-awaited Sinnoh remakes are here. At least I was right on one of my predictions.
Those graphics look really off, it's a weird mix of what they did in LGPE and a chibi art-style and I don't like it. I'd reasonably expect the games to be dumbed-down seeing as that's the trend they've been on ever since Platinum. Not something I'm super excited for since I still have the originals but if you don't have them (I 100% expect those prices to skyrocket on the 2nd-hand market), I'd imagine it wouldn't be too bad of an option, especially seeing as Game Freak isn't the one developing it. Does that mean I'm technically wrong about the thing I said earlier? Maybe, but I don't give enough of a shit, so I'll keep it that way.
Now I don't think anyone saw this next one coming.
Seeing the Legends Arceus trailer was actually quite an odd experience, almost cathartic. Not 100%, since the models still don't look updated (it's been nearly 8 years now, the same actually applies for the D/P remakes but I don't think they were designed for graphics in mind), but it's quite the risk that they took. I think it's a bit early to put my definitive opinions (Not too much gameplay was shown), but I do really hope it turns out to be good (might even get it second-hand if it turns out to be good enough).
Anyways, those are my thoughts on the direct. What are yours?

I don't really cared about Pokémon Snap anyways, but it's a cool thing to show off.
Finally, the Diamond & Pearl remakes are here! My childhood is coming back to me.
But the game that really activates my gears is Pokemon Legends: Arceus. It's a really cool idea that they got, and I hope it will lead to a series, with gameplay really far from the main Pokémon games! Much like the Dungeons games.

I’m going to cry with nostalgia right now. Pokémon Platinum, HeartGold, and Black and White 1 and 2 were my most nostalgic Pokémon games.
