So I have noticed that a lot of complete mode tracks have almost little to no effort and the main thing I hate is that there are no walls making it VERY easy to skip a lot of checkpoints. I'm fine with no off-road tracks, but tracks with NO walls needs to be removed. I played a Mario Kart Wii complete mode remake and a lot of the tracks have little to no walls. that's all i have to say about these poorly made tracks.
Try playing the actual good complete mode tracks 🙏. You'll be surprised with some of the things people can create and the effort that goes into tracks that aren't stolen or internet images.

OK guys, educate me: Who/what is gamba?
Gamba was originally part of some animation I made for a school task back in October 2019. The animation involved a group of gambas smuggling red coins around Bob-omb Battlefield, but of course they had to be stupid in doing so, and hence why the design makes them look dumb. You can probably tell already but it took me about a minute to create. I unfortunately lost access to this (real :gamba: moment).
I can't fully remember what the first appearance in the community was, but it is likely that it was the Gamba battle course I made as a joke back on 26/08/2020, and people seemed to like it. The emoji was later added to the MKPC Discord server on 23/11/2020.
On the 24/03/2021, the GambaPOG variant was introduced, which used the same gamba shape and similar eyes, with another budget-cut open mouth being added instead. The emoji is only on Discord and hasn't been added to the site (yet).
Gamba has also been widely used as a decor on tracks including many RHGP tracks, and has many variations including Hard Hat Gamba, Sunglasso Gamba and Ruinas Gamba Roca Picuda to name a few.
I don't remember the rest of the Gamba lore but maybe somebody else does.

1Thoughts on Mario Kart World

It got released in 8dx like 3-4 days before it was released in Tour, but it was datamined for Tour well before that. It's a Tour track along with every other Nitro in the BCP that didn't have a prefix.
Anyway, MKWorld is actually really good from what I've seen since I haven't played it. The nitros are either the best or 2nd best in the series and the retros are surprisingly decent too given what some of the picks were. Whether it's worth the price is still debatable and I don't think I'll be getting the NS2 anytime soon, but if a friend does I'll be looking forward to playing it.
Anyway, MKWorld is actually really good from what I've seen since I haven't played it. The reason why QM isn't allowed, and hasn't been in every other previous official TBC, is that pretty much everything is done for you. A contest is supposed to test your ability to design and create a track, which isn't shown at all in QM. You'd probably end up with a 0 in every category if QM were to be used (eg you can't get above 0 for collisions or visual if you haven't actually programmed or drawn anything respectively), and since it pretty much has no chance against CM tracks it was just removed altogether.
Hopefully you figure out the problems to your track, the help section in the editor is pretty useful so definitely check that out.

Remakes are NOT allowed (unless it's a remake of your own creation). The reason for this is because the 'layout' and to an extent 'variety' criteria are basically done for you already.

We've finished the Advent Calendar not too long ago, but the fun doesn't end there. Welcome to the official topic of the 2025 Winter Track Building Contest! Here you will find all of the information regarding the event. EVERYONE is welcome to participate, no matter your skill or experience, and you earn rewards for your participation.
You will have to create a COMPLETE MODE circuit in the following theme:
SWEETS
and then submit your creation on this topic. Your creation will be judged by the jury at the end of the tournament.
The creations must be ORIGINAL and made for this tournament (that means you can't steal another's creation or post an internet image). You are also allowed to submit up to 3 creations, however you will only receive points for your best creation.
Tracks will receive a score out of 20 from each jury member, and to win you will need to have the highest score.

Layout (How interesting the layout is? Is there any shortcuts and/or alternate paths?) = /4
Design (Variety in sections and other minor design areas) = /3
Collisions (Walls, checkpoints, off-road etc) = /2
Obstacles (Goombas, Buses, Snow balls etc) = /2
