I think this topic is interesting and SMG2 is my favourite 3D platformer so I'll share my opinions starting with World 1 (and prepare for probably hot takes). I will be giving my thoughts based on my experience from when I first played the game (I was 7)

Sky Station Galaxy
I think it's fine, nothing special but it's a good first level for the game. It's not too difficult either, even if I spent 24 mins the first time I ever played the game so new players can get a feel for it. The boss is simple and the prankster comet is fine.

Yoshi Star Galaxy
First time seeing Yoshi and it's pretty easy to get used to. I'm not even gonna lie tho, I never really cared for this galaxy too much for reasons I can't explain, I suppose some of the planets were a bit boring. Still a good galaxy for early on in the game. I also never cared for the boss.

Spin Dig Galaxy
I honestly really liked this galaxy, especially the Digga-leg fight (and my first battle against him was actually super clutch for my terrible standards back then). I also thought the Spin Drill wasn't too hard to use tbh. Pretty solid and simple.

Fluffy Bluff Galaxy
It looks aesthetically nice but it's boring to play. I don't care for this one at all, it just existed.

Flip Swap Galaxy
The end probably felt a bit too hard for newer players (ig they do give you the Cosmic Spirit but still) but otherwise I really enjoy this galaxy. It's one idea done well and progressively becomes more interesting. Even to this day I enjoy it.

Rightside Down Galaxy
Probably my favourite in World 1, it was just really fun to play near the beginning. My only gripe is that they only used the sideways gravities at the end only, not really an issue tho.

Bowser Jr.'s Fiery Flotilla
It's good for a final galaxy, nothing really special here. Gobbleguts was interesting too, didn't know Bowser Jr would keep a pet Chinese dragon. The way to fight the boss kinda made me laugh as a kid ig. Otherwise it feels a bit short but that might be expected.

A few months ago Wargor added a program that automatically deletes default square tracks since there was an occasion where they kept being spammed. Idk if it also works with ovals or not, but if you add decors it's probably safe from auto deleting.

As for complete mode tracks, I delete anything that's stolen or just not even a real track.

I don't usually respond to many topics but ig I'll share my thoughts and predictions:

Acorn Cup:

- Tour Rome Avanti
This track doesn't suck at all imo, that one section just feels a bit more enclosed than what we're used to. If you played this in tour and didn't have fun grinding RA2R, it's fair to not like it (and I didn't enjoy it either) but I'm sure it will play far differently in 8dx than drifting awkwardly in Tour

- GCN Dino Dino Jungle/GCN DK Mountain
I'm leaning towards DDJ on this one because it's a bit more conventional and easier, and we all know 8dx has been pretty simple given most of the players are just casual or inexperienced players. I also don't really like the Tour model of DK Mountain, but I can't say it's out of the question for appearing in Wave 6

Honestly not sure what will be here since there are so many contenders

- Tour Piranha Plant Cove
Both Singapore and Vancouver have appeared at the end of a cup, so I'm assuming this track, which also has variants, will appear here too rather than the 2nd track of Spiny Shell Cup

Spiny Shell Cup:

- MobMD
Nothing much to say here

- Piranha Plant Pipeline
Again nothing much to say here, maybe other than the prefix 'tour' potentially not appearing, similar to that one track in every other wave

- SNES Bowser Castle 3
A SNES track was initially datamined for Wave 5 but that didn't happen, and since BC3 has the biggest revamp and most effort put into it, it's highly likely it would've appeared here. Keeping tradition they would've put it right before the next track...

- Wii Rainbow Road
A Wii track was datamined to be in this slot, and it was remade in Tour too. I just hope it's 3 laps and not overscaled. I've also seen a lot of DS RRs being thrown around but tbh idk what evidence supports that logic.

Think of Waluigi Stadium this way:

The tour version is the intended version, they just added extra to the BCP version, meaning Nintendo did put effort. :genius:

Also, glider ramps aren't necessary and don't make tracks feel more intense. Removing the glider ramp on RP in the BCP feels cooler imo.

Btw we got 3 new tracks this tour, that's the opposite of lazy lol.

I'm aware, that's why it can't happen yet.
But Lely has shown lots of maturity and understanding, once he turns 13 I'd promote him straight away.

I'm going to try update the rules when I get the chance, I can agree that there's been a lot of stuff happening recently, and a lot of it is hard to control.

Also, Lely should be mod.

Even if they are from Google, a reason for deletion would still be to give the original artist credit. Even if you didn't "steal" it, the creator of the image deserves all the credit for making it. Maybe some research on the site for 2 mins can't hurt to see if it's already made kr not. It's not like you made the image anyway so it's not that bad.

I also feel like people have been throwing the Google argument for a while now, and idk if it can always be trusted.

Just a heads up the mods have planned on updating the rules of the site, and this situation is mentioned in the track creation section
