In my opinion they should let you choose the difficulty of the cpus in gp instead of making the difficulty higher  


No, it would make GP mode too easy. That's what VS mode is for.

Yes, the shock is the best item in the game. Star is useful for being invincible but you don't gain speed at all, if anything you can lose speed because of the sudden break you get from the star if you keep drifting. Bullet bill is good for tracks that doesn't have much shortcuts and cannons but when it does have shortcuts and cannons, they aren't very good and you would rather have golden mushroom. Speaking of golden mushroom, it's very useful on tracks with a lot of shortcuts since you can cut a lot and win the race but not very useful on skill based tracks. While these power items are useful in some cases, the shock is useful in every case. In any type of track, it's very useful whether it's a luck track or skill based track. It's also very broken if you hold the shock to 1st place and then use it at the last lap to shock everybody behind you and get a big breakaway.

I think the shock is the best item in Mario Kart in general. It makes everybody small when you used it, everybody loses their item and you can target shock them which causes more damage to them (except MKPC) and you can catch up quite easily if you are not far too behind. Overall an amazing item to have and it's the best in Mario Kart franchise.

I'm gonna mention the star/mega mushroom, golden mushroom and the bullet bill since they are all very good.

Star makes you invincible to pretty much everything for a short period of time and you can use it to take lots of shortcuts but the problem is this is only useful in luck-based tracks. In skill-based tracks, they are much less useful unless if you can shock dodge but even then they are still less useful.

Golden Mushroom is good for taking shortcuts although it's very situation and a lot of times, it's not useful but if you have a billion shortcuts, this item is the best unless a shock comes but most of the time, star or mega is very useful.

Bullet Bill is good since you go much faster than your base speed and it can help you save from disastrous situations however the bad thing about it is that it can drop you in a bad place sometimes and that can screw you up a lot although the MKPC version is not good since it's quite slow to be honest.

I didn't mention the mega mushroom because they function very similar to a star so didn't felt the need to do that here so here is my opinion on these power items.

you need to screenshot the drawing when done, then upload the file to the complete mode when done.


Hi Mykal2. Also you don't have to screenshot the drawing. You can download the track and put it into the MKPC complete mode. This is a better way because you get better graphics.

The red shell can still hit you from the side regardless if you're holding an item or not, which is stupid.


Yeah this happened to me sometimes. It should be fixed as this can be annoying.

56 won't be the highest compared to the official Mario Kart games for much longer due to MK8 getting more courses.

We don't need more tracks to Mario Kart PC. We already have 56 tracks to the game which is the highest when you compare to the official Mario Kart games. I think that's more than enough and you can play the community tracks. Some of them are much better than the Mario Kart PC tracks.

No its really easy, in 1 or 2 hours of practice I succeeded it easily (in my beginnings)


yeah it's easy for you because do DDe is easy actually but compare me to all the players... = it's like compare HACK and NOOB tier


1. I don't understand why it's called DDE (Daisy Drift Exploit) when you can do it with other characters like Birdo, Toad, Toadette and basically any characters with good handling.

2. Fways is right. It's very easy to snake in this game, probably the easiest game to snake of all time. All you have to do is just drift left and then drift right, rinse and repeat. Don't believe me? Then try MKDS. It's simple to learn but hard to master there so there you have it. My statement about the snaking situation.

I think it's not. I'd rather play a track that has unfitting music but a really good design, visuals and gameplay than a track that has a really good music but it's bad everywhere else. I don't think music should define the rating of tracks in general. Yes it can be a part of a track rating system but not for the entire track.

So I am going to be more critical and reasoning when I rate people's maps. I only rate complete mode tracks, and I want them to be mostly positive.

Music: The most critical. I only give high ratings to those who use custom music instead of an official Mario Kart song (unless the map is a remake). If you use a default song, don't expect it to be high. But don't worry too much about this one.

Design: The map's design isn't entirely about detail. I don't design maps myself so I don't want to be a hypocrite. The design part is graded on how readable the map is, like where offroad is, where holes are, etc. If I know where to go, this category gets a high rating.

Gameplay: This category is for the map's difficulty. If there's obscure turns and jumps that are too difficult to perform, this won't get a high rating. Rainbow Road or any map designed to be hard is an exception. This is more so for average maps that have unnecessarily hard turns or what not. You should get a high rating for this category.

Checkpoints: Another heavily critical one. If you do not place enough checkpoints, the placements will mess up. Also counts for checkpoints that can be easily missed if one messes up slightly. If either of those apply, you will not get a high rating. But if you place them correctly, you will get a perfect score.

Enjoyability: Another relatively easy one. If I enjoyed playing the map, I'll give it a high rating. I love playing people's maps, so don't worry if I might not enjoy the map.

Each category will be rated from 1-5 stars, making a final total of 25 stars. It will be rounded as such:

1-5 stars: 1 star
6-10 stars: 2 stars
11-15 stars: 3 stars
16-20 stars: 4 stars
21-25 stars: 5 stars

Wow, this is a good rating system. I like it but there's a couple things to improve this rating system. First of all, I think music shouldn't be criticized much because they are not THAT important to making a good track. Second of all, for the design it shouldn't just be about collisions, it should also be about the map itself. I would suggest to replace music with the collisions in the MKPC Complete Mode Track Builder. I have a system for rating tracks which I proposed 1 month ago.

Gameplay

Layout changes if needed (Adding shortcuts, new paths, changing the main road layout etc) = /3
Design (No trick ramp right before the corner, make the route clear and easy to follow, etc) = /3
Collisions (Walls, checkpoints, offroad etc) = /3
Obstacles (Goombas, Buses, Snow balls etc) = /3
Total for gameplay: /12

Decoration

Visual upgrade (Better visuals than the original version) = /2
Theming (Theming can be slightly different as long as it's not too drastic) = /2
Decoration upgrade (MKPC decors and the art itself decor as long as it fits the track) = /2
Music (Appropriate for the track) = /1
Background (MKPC background and the art itself background) = /1
Total for decoration : /8

Total for all: /20

This is for remakes only and this can apply to nitro tracks just it will be slightly different.
