Just wanted to see what everyone thinks of it
Personally, and I'm definitely the minority here, I don't think it looks that good. I think Elephant Mario just looks weird, and doesn't seem that fun to play (even though we saw like 3 seconds of him lol). The art style looks weird to see Mario in, and the fact that they felt the need to put Daisy being playable in a trailer as short as two minutes implies to me that they didn't have enough content to show off. Wonder Seeds look interesting but not enough to get me to buy the game, really all of those things combined are the reason I'm picking it up when it releases (also maybe because it comes out the day after my birthday lol)

To me, it looks like a refreshing take on the SMB series, since the NSMB games are pretty much the same thing.
It could turn out to be a very creative Mario game with amazing and innovative gameplay, or simply a boring game with mediocre gameplay that's being hardcarried by its new concept: There's no way to tell for sure before it's release.
Still, I can't wait for it to release, because I'm very curious to see how good it is.

I mean I can see this new form of SMB going quite far seeing as it literally changes the baseline of all those before it. I think it can be a really cool game, if it actually is.
It seems quite volatile, like some people might like why others might hate it. So yeah.

The only problem is that this is gonna be a one and done game. Overstuffed with gimmicks which will never been seen again. It's also missing triple jump & stuff like that.
And it has the shitty 3D World flagpole, no lives for hitting the top. Don't know how to feel about that.

Yh, we should still have a September Direct anyway, it'll be explained there for sure. Might even have a mini just for it at some point, like Splatoon & Xenoblade & TotK.

Imo, the game is overhyped. I prefer to not play games that give me a simular experiance as drugs.

it looks pretty nice I mean I can't lie but to be honest elephant Mario killing the Goomba at the end and interrupting the flower giving it a compliment was so funny I fainted for 2 minutes straight. and by the way those who follow me you can send me ideas for new quick mode tracks when I make a forum

I've been waiting for another 2D Mario game like this for a while, as much as I liked New Sup Deluxe, it was just eh after a while. I was excited to hear this announced and then DAISY IS ALSO PLAYABLE and then that made my day hearing Daisy was finally going to be playable in a mainline Mario Game. Also the trailer, the stuff looks so good so this has potential and I hope it's really good.
