Ranking The Mario & Luigi Games
On 2021-03-02 at 20:09:48
I'm really making this topic for two reasons.
1. I've gotten into the M&L series lately.
2. In respect of this series because of Alphadream filing for bankruptcy.
Keep in mind, I've only played Superstar Saga, Bowser's Inside Story, and Dream Team. So take what I say about Partners In Time and Paper Jam with a nice heaping of salt. And with that let's get on to the ranking.
5. Paper Jam
This really could've been an amazing crossover game. But they chose modern Paper Mario, so all we got was regular paper enemies and no original Paper Mario characters. Plus, there's basically no original Mario & Luigi characters either in this game and the story is pretty bland. Bowser and Paper Bowser steal both Peaches... and that's about it. It's not a bad game, far from it. It just could've been better.
4. Partners In Time
Yep, time traveling to the past, teaming up with your past selves, even though that would destroy the space-time continuum, and stop aliens from evading the past version of the Mushroom Kingdom. Very... unique plot. Nothing really happens in the plot until the end of the game, so eh. Not bad, just not the best game either.
3. Dream Team
Remember that block person from BIS? Well, he lives on an island with people that look exactly like him and the island is themed about... sleeping and that there was an ancient race that were sentient pillows. You go into Green Mario's dreams and mess around in there. Pretty good plot. Also the first 3D M&L game. Just the tutorials are aplenty and they take F O R E V E R. The only bad thing about this game, really.
2. Bowser's Inside Story
Toads get phat, Fawful returns and gives Bowser a mushroom that gives Bowser the power of s u c c
And Mario and Green Mario are stuck inside Bowser's body. Probably the best plot in the series and you get to play as Bowser alot. Also, get the original game, don't get the remake if you're planning on getting this game.
1. Superstar Saga
Mario and Green Mario go to the Beanbean Kingdom and engage in foreign policies when Cackletta and Fawful steal Peach's voice. Come On! is an amazing battle theme and Come On, Again! (the 3DS version) is an amazing boss battle theme. The battling is perfect. Only real complaint is that the final boss does get stupidly hard. Also, get the remake, it's the best way to play this game.
So, that's my opinions on the M&L series. So, what do you think of this franchise?

Top 5 Worst Mario Games
On 2021-02-23 at 23:23:10
Since everybody is just going to hate on me for my opinions and clearly nobody read the rules I had, and never even shared their own hated Mario game, I'm going to lock this topic. Have a nice day, ya filthy animals.
Yes, I still make jokes even if I'm slightly frustrated, sue me.

Whether you like certain Mario Kart Games is debatable, but putting Mario Kart worse then a snes game that is an education game shows you really don't know how bad these games get.
Also, Mario Kart SUPER CIRCUIT???? Super Circuit has EVERY SMK track, PLUS MORE. So putting Super Circuit but not SMK makes NO sense when it comes to the features of games. This is your least favorite games, not the objectively bad ones.
SuPeR CiRcuIt mAkEs Me DizZy is not a good excuse. That's the game SYSTEM buddy, not the game's fault.
Apparently, you all didn't read the rules at the top. I stated you can only rank bad Mario games you've played. Also, I said Super Mario Kart makes me dizzy, not Super Circuit. You're twisting my words. It would've been unjustified if I ranked Super worse than Super Circuit. Plus, Super's tracks are terrible as well, along with Super Circuit.
I do know about the SNES learning games but I've never played them.
And also, yeah, that's the point. It's the worse games you've played.
Also, no, @LuigiDawg, I've never played Rio 2016.

People always ask the best Mario games, why not the worst? You can only rank bad Mario games you've played, so no Hotel Mario. If you can't think of 5, just think of the worst. Ok, here's my top 5 worst Mario games.
5. Mario Hoops 3-On-3
OK, WAIT, I CAN EXPLAIN! For most people, this is the best Mario sports game. I bought it a couple months ago, played it, and thought, "Huh. This is boring." Don't get me wrong, I like Mario sports games. Super Sluggers is amazing. But this game is just so boring and the CPU's are so easy.
4. Mario Kart Wii
Eh, I've explained this multiple times. I don't feel like going on a rant today, so just go look at the topic I made about my hatred for Wii.
3. Paper Mario: Sticker Star
Yatta yatta, everyone knows why Sticker Star is bad. Bad levels, no original characters, terrible battle system.
2. Super Paper Mario
OK, WAIT AGAIN!! I've explained this a couple times, might as well do it once more. The controls are just the worst, you have the to hold the Wiimote sideways and use the D-Pad to move. The levels are just so bland and boring and the 2D to 3D flipping thing gets boring after 10 times. Sure, the characters and story are great, but in my opinion, the cons outweigh the pros.
1. Mario Kart: Super Circuit
Again, I've explained this multiple times, might as well do it again. "Why isn't Super Mario Kart the worst?", you may ask. Well, because playing Super makes me dizzy, so that's why. Super Circuit is just Super but better graphics. Just a boring Mario Kart experience.
5. Mario Hoops 3-On-3

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door [:] A Paper-Cut Above The Rest?
On 2021-02-10 at 23:34:43
Ok, for those of you who have seen me around this website for awhile, you know I love Paper Mario. And if you read my About section on my profile (by the way, I recommend you go do that, there's some neat stuff I have on there)on my top 10 Mario games, TTYD is #1. So, it must be pretty good. Good Lord, where do I begin with this game? I guess the story.
Story
Peach goes to the town of Rogueport, because they need gas for their boat. My question is, where were they going in the first place? The game never really explains this. She goes to this definitely not shady shop owner, who gives her an old map. Of course, she sends it to Mario, because Mario will definitely know what the heck this map means, and tells him to come to Rogueport. Short little detail, but the opening is the exact same as the opening to Paper Mario 64. So, adventure ho! Mario arrives in Rogueport, and finds that a chunky boi is threatening a goomba girl for info about these things called Crystal Stars. Mario gets involved, whoops chunky boi's thick booty, which, we find out his name is Lord Crump, 2nd-in-command of this group called the X-Nauts. Goomba girl, whose name is Goombella, sticks around with Mario, and Toadsworth finds Mario and tells him Peach is missing, big surprise. Mario then finds out that the map is a treasure map which has the location of the Crystal Stars, which will open the Thousand-Year Door and get whatever the treasure is. Neat (maybe). I won't explain the entire story, because you should play the game yourself or watch a Let's Play of it on YouTube.
The Battle System
Ah yes, the piece de resistance of this game. Liked Paper Mario 64's battle system? Well, now it's even better! Using the new crowd system, you can interact with the crowd or the crowd wants to try and you know.. kill you if you don't do good in battle. And there's also these things called Stylish moves, where, if you press the A button at the right time, Mario or his partners does a sick trick, and the crowd gives you more star power to fill up your star meter.
The Worlds
There's some really unique ideas for worlds in this game. Chapter 1, grassland where you fight dragon. Chapter 2, Pikmin. Chapter 3, you fight in a wrestling ring with the nickname "The Great Gonzales" and find corruption- wait what- Chapter 4, You arrive in spooky town, get your body stolen, people think you're the bad guy, you get your body back. Chapter 5, you get shipwrecked on an island. Chapter 6, you solve mysteries on a train. Chapter 7, YOU GET LAUNCHED INTO SPACE and blow up the X-Naut's lair on the moon. Here's my ranking of the chapters:
7. Chapter 2
6. Chapter 1
5. Chapter 4
4. Chapter 5
3. Chapter 7
2. Chapter 3
1. Chapter 6
Other Things
You can buy this thing called a W emblem from another definitely not shady shop owner, and if you equip it, it changes Mario's clothes into Wario's clothes. If you find the hidden L emblem in chapter 6, and you equip it, it changes Mario's clothes into Luigi's clothes. And if you equip both, Mario's clothes turn into Waluigi's clothes. I love these little touches.
There's also sidequests which can range from bad to good. You can unlock an optional partner by doing one of the sidequests.
There's also The Pit of 100 Trials, where you have to do 100 battles, back to back, no healing. You can get some pretty OP badges from it like Fire Drive, Zap Tap, and Lucky Day. It can get pretty hard, but it's my favorite optional thing in the game.
Conclusion
I really have only touched the tip of the iceberg about this game. Easily, one of, if not, the best Nintendo game. You can look up more about this game on YouTube. This game will always remain as one of my favorite video games.
So, what do you think of this game? Let me know. I like doing these reviews and I will do more of them in the future.

My Thoughts On Today's Direct
On 2021-02-18 at 03:04:42
So, uh.. wow. What a Direct. Some great games were revealed, but there were some bad ones too. Time to go over the major announcements.
So... the Smash reveal. Yeah, I ain't too happy about this one. Pyra/Mythra is honestly the 2nd worst character to be added in the DLC, Byleth is just barely worse. Just what we needed in Smash, a waifu.
Skyword Sword HD.. eh. I ain't a fan of Zelda, but I hope some people are happy about this.
Well, here's my top 5 favorite games/update revealed in today's Direct.
5. Fall Guys
I knew it was going to happen eventually, but still really happy it happened. Can't wait to play it for the first time this summer. Kinda sad that Fall Guys' popularity was stolen because of Among Us, but maybe this is the thing that will make it popular again.
4. Animal Crossing: New Horizons Mario Update
Man, they went all out for this one. Can't wait to buy every single one of the Mario items. Also, the update is coming out 1 month earlier than they first said. That's nice.
3. Miitopia
I never thought I would hear about this game again by Nintendo. I own the original game on the 3DS. One of the funniest games I have ever played. To quote my friend, who I was talking to when the Direct was live, said "It's Miitopia with RTX on." Horses are... interesting, and you can make your Mii's look even more anime.
2. Mario Golf: Super Rush
This was the ONLY prediction I got right, sadly. But this looks really good. It's basically Mario Tennis Aces but golf. I'm excited to see what the Story Mode will be about.
1. Splatoon 3
I didn't expect Splatoon 3 to come out THIS soon. 2022 is a bit far away, but I think I can wait. Not much information to go off of, but what we have, it's pretty good.

My Predictions For Tomorrow's Nintendo Direct
On 2021-02-17 at 00:55:04
Actually no. Nintendo released Kirby Planet Robobot only 2 years after Triple Deluxe. Nintendo is no stranger to making sequels in a little time after the one before it. Plus, Home Circuit is a spin-off of Mario Kart. Also, it's been 7 years since Mario Kart 8.
On 2021-02-16 at 20:22:11
Me after seeing the announcement today:
Well, it's been an eternity and a half since the last Direct. At least it's finally back.
Anywho, here's my predictions for tomorrow's Direct.
New Mainline Kirby Game
It's been three years since Star Allies, it's time for a new mainline Kirby game. (Stares at Super Kirby Clash and Kirby Fighters)
Smash Reveal will be either Paper Mario or Crash Bandicoot
These two are my most wanted characters in Smash, and I hope one of them gets announced tomorrow.
New Mario Sports Game
Don't know which type of sport, but I hope baseball or basketball.
The Announcement of Mario Kart 9 Will Finish Off The Direct
It's been 7 years since 8, it's time for a new Mario Kart game.
So, what's your predictions for tomorrow's Direct? This topic will age terribly in one day if all my predictions are wrong.

Your Thoughts On Bowser's Fury
On 2021-02-15 at 23:14:44
Yay, new profile picture.
So, Bowser'sFurry Fury came out a couple days ago, and I think it's pretty good. Nice open world Mario game, closest thing we'll probably get to a sequel to Odyssey. Scamper Shores' music is amazing. Bowser Jr. helps you. Haven't played the full game yet, my copy should arrive sometime this week, but I got to play it at my friend's house.
Solid 8/10. The only issues is that it's short, and maybe needs a couple more levels.
What's your opinion about Bowser's Fury?
New review of a game I haven't played before coming in a week or two.

Smash Remix: The Ultimate Version/Mod of Smash 64?
On 2021-02-09 at 23:54:15
By the way, this is not the next review, just a little side thing to keep you all waiting.
Smash Remix: The best ROM hack I have ever seen for Smash 64.
Here's the latest update for you all, version 9.5:
This ROM hack has new items, TONS of new stages, and brand new characters, plus tons of new features.
By the way, I am a Dr. Mario main in this hack.
Definitely going to be keeping tabs on this mod. There's usually a new update every 3 months, so the next update should be next month.

Your Thoughts On Super Mario RPG: Legend Of The Seven Stars
On 2021-02-08 at 23:36:28
Not a valid reason. I can't just hear someone say "it sucks" without giving a reason why it sucks.
On 2021-02-06 at 22:10:11
*Laughs in mobile*
If I make alot of spelling errors, that's why.
So I've been debating on getting Mario RPG for over a month now on Wii U virtual console. I can't decide if I should get it, so why not let the internet decide? Let me know if I should get it, and it might push me over the edge to get it. Make a review on this topic if you can and have the time to do it.

Hey guys, so... 2 months of inactivity. Yeah, I know. I just needed a break from MKPC. And that review I promised for MK: Double Dash.. yeah that'll come soon too. Gonna be posting 2 topics today. Finally got Paper Mario: TTYD for my Gamecube, plus Mario Party 6 and 7... more reviews on those too, so yay. Sorry about worrying everyone about my abrupt absence. I should be checking this website about 3-4 days a week. So see you all soon!
Ranking every course in Super Mario Sunshine

While I haven't really gone into Pianta Village or Corona Mountain, but I'll just rank the others.
6. Gelato Beach
Man, this level is just.. it's not bad, just bland. The Wiggler boss fight is definitely the best shine in the level. Also, the Sand Bird isn't hard, you guys just suck-
5. Sirena Beach
I haven't completed Sirena Beach yet, but hey, at least this beach has a hotel and apparently also has a Shining reference. Oh yeah, the pools out front look like a GameCube controller. Very nice touch. Episode 2 sucks though.
4. Noki Bay
(Bill Wurtz's voice) Water and stuff. Okay, but seriously, this level is pretty good. The underwater physics with FLUDD are definitely not the best, but still a great level.
3. Bianco Hills
Very open-world and a nice world. It's got a village, windmill, and things that spit seeds at you.
2. Pinna Park
A very cool idea to make a level an amusement park. I love all the rides and the shines are pretty fun. Episode 5 is really fun to cheese, if you know what you're doing.
1. Ricco Harbor
Man, I love this level. I love how open it feels and how many ways you can beat some of the Shines. It feels like an actual harbor, shocking. But seriously, The Caged Shine is probably the best shine in this level.
