I used to play Roblox, but I left a couple months ago after 5 years for personal reasons and because of the toxicity. Then I found this website a month later, and I've been here ever since.

So, I've kinda run out of topic ideas so I'm going to steal b o r r o w GaryTheCat's and InfiNate's idea. So, uh, yeah, ask me anything. Just nothing personal or inappropriate.

Uh.. actually I don't? I would say I'm decent at the game. If I'm bad at something, I don't say it's trash. If I was terrible at Paper Mario, I wouldn't say the game sucks.

Also, thanks for reviving this topic after 10 days of no replies just to tell me I suck.

I don't have an issue with the motion controls. In fact, I think they're pretty decent. I just think the controls themselves are the issue. Besides, if I even would switch to a Wii pro controller or a Gamecube controller, I still wouldn't really enjoy the game because of the item nonsense. It just doesn't seem like a fun game to me.

I've been asked this question so much, it's time to turn it into a topic.

(Incoming rant, just a heads up.)

Hoo boy, Mario Kart Wii. I H A T E this game. Not the worst game in the series, but every time I play it, I want to quit after 30-45 minutes. Thankfully, I didn't buy this game, I actually got it for free from my cousin.

Look, I get it, some people say this is the best Mario Kart game. Some people love this game. I don't, it's not my favorite, get over it.

I know, it has some of the greatest tracks in Mario Kart history, some of them my favorite tracks of all time, including Coconut Mall, DK Summit, and Maple Treeway. But there's just SO many issues with this game. Here's my philosophy: A game can have the best levels ever, but if the controls are terrible, it's no fun.

The controls, in my opinion, are the worst controls in the series. And yes, I had manual drift on. The way you throw items is just so odd and uncomfortable, and same goes for drifting. Oh, and we haven't even gotten to the worst problem yet.

The item distribution is just so awful. I have been hit with red shells, lightning, POW blocks (terrible item by the way), and a blue shell at the same time. While programming the distribution, they must've really been in a rush to get home that day.

Also, the retro tracks are mediocre. There's some good ones in there like DK Mountain and Waluigi Stadium, but that's it.

Also also, the way to unlock some characters and karts is just way too difficult.

Alright, rant over. So, what do you think about this "great" game?

Aside from crime shows and game shows, I never watch any TV shows today. Most shows just seem dumb and unoriginal now. Just my opinion.

Former Roblox player here. I played Roblox between 2014-2020. And yeah, Roblox really isn't that good anymore. I think 2015-2016 was the golden age of Roblox. 2017 was also good, but after that, it really dropped from there. The removal of TIX was slightly part of it, but my main problem is the amount of young people and TikTokers that have joined. Everybody used to be so friendly during that golden age, but right when I quit Roblox, it was so toxic. There was a reason I only had 15 friends.

Like Wazz said, it's a shame too. The game did rival Minecraft at one point, but now the popularity has really dropped off. Also like Wazz said, most popular games just seem like social gatherings now. *cough cough Adopt Me cough cough*

My personal favorites are:

Emergency Response: Liberty County
Jailbreak (the first two years it was out)
Welcome To Bloxburg (the house building is really cool, I created a lot of cool buildings)

Sadly, Double Dash is the only Mario Kart game I haven't played. But based on what I've seen, this is my favorites.

Yoshi Circuit
DK Mountain
Wario Colloseum
Mushroom City
Waluigi Stadium

I thought the game was pretty good, one of the best Mario spinoffs. There is so much personality in the game and the Rabbids are hillarious.

The plot is a girl created a device called the SupaMerge which can combine two things into one thing. The Rabbids steal it and turn everything into Mario and they travel to the Marioverse. Most of the Rabbids turn evil, the one that created the mess is on the run.. go get 'em. Pretty simple plot. Boom, explainified.

Also, you don't like Captain Toad because there's no logic? ...why the heck are you playing video games? The best thing about video games is that there is no logic! You're playing a video game about an Italian plumber rescuing a princess from an evil turtle king. That just is one of the most stupid reasons to hate a video game. Sorry, but you just need to rethink why you play video games.

This one...ho boy.

I don't think Super Paper Mario is a good game. Mostly cause it had terrible level design and terrible controls (Had to hold the Wiimote sideways). Even more unpopular opinion, I enjoyed Sticker Star more than Super. Sorry Super fans.



Not really Mario, but Nintendo.

The Wii U is a good console. I mostly think this because there are some really underrated games on the Wii U. MK8, Yoshi's Woolly World, Wii Party U, Paper Mario Color Splash, and Super Mario 3D World.

After 100%ing Bowser's Fury, I decided to do a ranking of all the major islands, which are the islands with 5 cat shines. Alright, on to the ranking.

12. Fort Flaptrap
This is the only island I genuinely dislike. The island is really small. Plus, some of the shines here just feel like filler.

11. Rolling Roller Isle
The hardest island in the game.
Instant lava everywhere if you fall. Just not fun.

10. Trickity Tower
Just really boring.

9. Risky Whisker Island
Really small. The shines are okay, but really small island.

8. Clawswipe Colosseum
Boom-Boom and Pom-Pom are here. Mediocre island. The final fight is fun, but eh.

7. Slipskate Slope
'Tis pretty easy, but it is fun to slide down on the skate.

6.Fur Step Island
Now we're getting to the really good islands. I really like the simplicity of this island.

5. Pipe Path Tower
Really fun island, with lots of pipes.

4. Pounce Bounce Isle
I like all the shines here. Really good level design.

3. Scamper Shores
How is the first island in the game one of the best!?! I really enjoy the level design and shines here. The music here is the best in the game.

2. Crisp Climb Castle
A really fun vertical level that isn't hard, but is still kind of challenging. Amazing level design.

1. Mount Magmeow
This was a really close call. Like I really couldn't decide if this or Crisp Climb Castle was the best. But the cat volcano won me over. Platforming is great and level design is amazing. I really enjoyed this one.

So, that's my opinion on all the major islands. I had a really fun time beating and 100%ing this game. I think that Bowser's Fury is the future of 3D Mario. Now give us an open-world Mario game Nintendo.

Ah, there I go again, gone for 2 months. Yeah, sorry about that, I have been extremely busy.

Anyway, really? Nobody at all has made a topic about the September Direct? There is SO much to talk about. In my opinion, it was the best Direct since E3 2019, maybe even better.

It's been 1 month, so better late than never, I guess.

Monster Hunter. Sure.

The boards for Mario Party Superstars are Peach's Birthday Cake, Space Land, Woody Woods, Yoshi's Tropical Island, and Horror Land. A good lineup, actually. 5 boards is still a little lacking, but better than 4 in Super. But why you gotta do Mario Party 3 dirty like that? Only one board? I really wanted Waluigi's Island. I also wanted Western Land from MP2 as well, but we got was still good.

Hyrule Warriors DLC? DOUBLE SURE.

Final Fantasy Mario Kart? TRIPLE SURE

Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Finally, after months and months of predicting a 3D Kirby game, it finally happened. I am so happy for this. Definitely is giving me Odyssey vibes.

Animal Crossing Direct and Brewster. FINALLY, JUST WHAT NEW HORIZONS NEEDED! I'll discuss that Direct another time, hopefully before the update releases, because there is so much to unpack.

Mario Golf update. Cool.

Online Expansion Pack with N64 games, AW YEAH! And Sega Genesis games too!?! Wow, this is amazing! I wonder how much it's going to cost? I mean, it's Nintendo, so I'd say 40 dollars at most-

50 dollars.

Look, I love Nintendo. But the fact they're charging 50 dollars a year for 20-30 year old games is absurd. Now, am I still going to buy it? Of course I am, it's gonna have Paper Mario 64 and Banjo!

Oh, the Mario Movie cast. This is going to be either a cinematic masterpiece or an absolute dumpster fire. Chris Pratt as Mario. Now look, I love Chris Pratt. Loved his performance as Star-Lord and Emmet. But why not get Charles Martinet to voice Mario? Like, I'm glad Charles is going to make cameos in the movie, but why? Charlie Day as Luigi. Man, they are getting the Holy Trinity of meme people on the internet. JACK BLACK AS BOWSER, OH MY GOSH YES, THERE IS LITERALLY NO BETTER CHOICE FOR BOWSER THAN JACK BLACK- *ahem* Keegan Michael-Key as Toad, why not? Keep the memes coming. Seth Rogan as Donkey Kong? Again, just keep the memes coming.

Oh my gosh, Splatoon 3 looks so good! Easily, my favorite announcement from the Direct. Story mode looks like it's going to be far more interesting this time around too.

And Bayonetta 3, but like, ehh, I don't care for Bayonetta.

Anyway, amazing Direct, I loved it. What was your favorite parts of the Direct?

I don't get why people think this is one of the best tracks in the game. It's not a bad track. I think it's slightly above average. There are just far better tracks out there. The track layout is fine, just nothing that interesting to look at.

Most of the track isn't even in the airport. You know, the thing the track is SUPPOSED to be based around? Only 10% of the track is even in the airport. Even then, the airport isn't even that interesting to look around. Everything else is just the runway and.. flying(?) around the airport. The track should be called Sunshine Airfield.

I think this track would've been much better if you actually drove THROUGH the airport. Start at the entrance, go through security, go past the shops and restaurants, go past where all the flights are taking off, then loop around to the entrance, while seeing planes fly off.

That's my little (at the time of writing this) sorta late-night rant on Sunshine Airport. Not a bad track, just extremely overrated.

How long has it been since I've done this? 2 months, I think? Anyway-

No intro or anything, I'm getting straight to the point.

Mario Super Sluggers for the Wii. This game is just so good, it's sad it's barely talked about. The motion controls actually work in this game, so that's a plus for any Wii game. The character selection is great, including color variations of some characters like Toads and Shy Guys. The story mode is actually pretty good, the puzzles are pretty fun here. The stadiums are all unique, each one having its own gimmick, except for Mario Stadium. The special shots are all really cool, as well as the cutscenes to go along with it. Oh yeah, the opening cutscene, one of the best parts of Mario sports games in the Gamecube and Wii era. And everybody in this game is just so expressive. It's crazy how much effort was put into this game. Best Mario Sports game, hands down. Far better than Hoops 3-on-3 and better than both Strikers games.

New Mario baseball game for Switch, please Nintendo

THE PROBLEM: My stupid brain can't think of any more topic ideas.

THE SOLUTION: Make a topic about something I listen to all the time: Video game music remixes.

So yeah, share video game remixes you've found on YouTube and stuff here. Also, if you want really good Nintendo remixes, go watch Qumu (the person who made the music at the top of this topic).

About the NES, SNES, and the Game Boy family..why? Like yeah, the graphics don't look amazing now, but back in the 80's and 90's, it was revolutionary, pushing technology at the time to its limits.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean about the controls being weird on the Gamecube. If you mean the layout of the buttons, yeah, it's kinda wonky, but you get used to it pretty quick.

Like Wazz said, the screens are a cool gimmick. Mario Kart DS wouldn't be the same without the logo maker.

The Wii U is the same price as the Switch and Wii? Is the Switch overpriced then? Honestly, the biggest problem of the Wii U was the lack of third-party games.

And the Switch. Besides Free to Play games and Online, where are there paywalls? And where are there paywalls in 3DS and Wii U games? Mario Kart 8 had DLC, which is different from a paywall. Like yeah, the mobile games have them, but not the Switch. The biggest problem with the Switch is no longer lack of third-party, but the amount of crappy third-party.

While Mario Odyssey is great, it does have its flaws. Some of the kingdoms are too small and some moons are just BS.

My personal favorite is Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Aw man, this game is almost perfect. The characters, the story, the dialogue, the battle system, and the Pit of 100 Trials, in my opinion, the best optional thing to do in a video game. However, the backtracking and the hallway-like "rooms" can get kinda annoying, but this game is still so good.

My second pick would be Splatoon 2, but that would be a whole topic to write about.

7. NES
Its games haven't aged well, but there are classics here like Super Mario Bros., Legend of Zelda, and Anticipation.

6. SNES
Now THIS I have nostalgia for, playing this console back in the early 2010's at the daycare my grandma worked at. Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, and Nigel Mansell's World Championship Racing.

5. Nintendo 64
Guys, I don't think the N64 is the best Nintendo console, time to burn me at the stake! I mean, I love the multiplayer games and Banjo-Kazooie. But games like Super Mario 64 are overrated. This is still a great console though.

4. Wii U
Guys, I think the Wii U is a great Nintendo console, time to burn me at the stake! This system is really underrated. There's great games here like Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, Paper Mario Color Splash, Yoshi's Wooly World, Splatoon, which gave a breath of fresh air to a genre that desperately needed one, and so much more. And Virtual Console. Plus, it was my first Nintendo system, but shhhhhh.

3. Wii
Ah, the Wii. Every grandma's favorite console with virtual bowling. The Mario sports games here are some of the best sports video games period. Mario Strikers Charged, Mario Super Sluggers, and Mario Sports Mix. And other amazing games like the Mario Galaxy games, the Kirby games, and Flingsmash, you can't forget Flingsmash.

2. Switch
It's got Splatoon 2, Mario + Rabbids, Smash Ultimate, Breath of the Wild, and Super Mario Odyssey. The king of Nintendo online gaming since the Wii too. Sure, the Switch Online isn't..perfect, but this console is still amazing.

1. Gamecube
I didn't get this console until about a year ago, but man, I wish I got it sooner. Luigi's Mansion, Mario Sunshine, all 4 Mario Parties, the Mario sports games, heck, even the licensed games were at their best here. There was a type of quality in games on the Gamecube that Nintendo has just not matched since. Nintendo was willing to take far more risks on this system that worked, but didn't pay off. Pretty sad honestly.


Anywho, those are my opinions and don't try to change my mind on the Gamecube.
