What are your least favorite Mario games?
On 2020-08-02 at 22:31:19
This is basically a "least favorite" counter-part to Paratroopagamer's "favorite" Mario game topic.
For me, personally, I'd say my least favorite spin-offs are:
5. Mario Golf: Advance Tour
4. Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash
3. Mario Party: Star Rush
2. Paper Mario: The Origami King
1. also Paper Mario: The Origami King
This is just my opinion. My reasoning for Origami King is that I honestly had less fun playing it than Sticker Star, especially with the boss fights.
Now, for Mainline Games, none are particularly bad, but I'd say:
5. Super Mario Land 2
4. New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe (Super Crown, enough said)
3. Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels
2. Super Mario Land
1. Super Mario Run (Because apparently, according to the Internet, it's a Mainline game)
If I'm being honest, the only Mario game I legitimately hate is Paper Mario: The Origami King. I had less fun playing it than Paper Mario: Sticker Star.
And that's saying something.

Just gonna list the ones I hate:
Paper Mario: Sticker Star
Mario Kart: Super Circuit
Super Paper Mario(Please don't hunt me down and end my life.)
Edit 1: I also remembered Mario Party Advance, so that one too.
That's basically it. I really enjoyed all the other games.

I hate Unfair Mario... (still a Mario game)
I haven't played Origami King yet, but I don't have a switch yet but if you say its bad, I won't get it if I do get one.

It's not COMPLETELY bad, the plot is great, the characters are amazing, it's just...the battles are not fun. Like, at all. Especially the boss battles. Plus, anything that the game takes from Colour Splash, it does it worse. Mainly the Toad rescuing. In Origami King, the only point of saving Toads is for battles, which if you're avoiding anyways, would make the Toads useless.
You should still get the game, because it has its good moments, and you may like it, but I don't think the game is any better than Color Splash.

I've already completed colour splash so maybe no

Honestly, I thought Origami King was a HUGE step in the right direction. The battle system is not as repetitive as Sticker Star's or Color Splash's and the battle music can really slap. The Toad finding is way better than Color Splash's. The worlds are really cool. The boss battles are the best since TTYD, mainly because I think it has more strategy than the past 2 games because those were just "Hop on and hammer 'em and use at least one Thing item until they die." The cafe was just a very nice addition. The disco scene has been one of my favorite moments in Mario game history and now I'm addicted to Thrills at Night. Honestly, the only parts I don't like about the game is Olivia can sometimes be annoying and the blue streamer up until Shogun Studios. I honestly think that this is the best Paper Mario game under the original 2.

Was unfair Mario even made by Nintendo? (I have never seen gameplay of it)

No, it wasn't, it's a fan game.

That is what i’m thinking. If I want to say it nintendowise, I would say the Mario typing games. They aren’t entertaining (besides the funny cutscenes), and kinda useless. If you want an educational video game, I would prefer Minecraft: education edition.

Mario Kart Tour [3 words, microtransactions, clones, pipes]
Paper Mario:The Origami King [this is the tackiest mainline mario game of all time, just sayin]
Super Mario 3D World [i dont understand the love for 3d world, its just a bunch of mario characters as furries just pouncing about and shouting meow!]

Sure. You can feel that way. I'm fine with that.
But I personally didn't have fun with the game. I know this is a bold statement, but I legitimately had more fun playing Sticker Star than playing Origami King.
The boss battles are one thing in the game I hate with a burning passion. Because in almost every single other RPG EVER, boss battles are basically stronger normal enemies. You can use the skills you mastered in normal battles to take out the Bosses. But in Origami King? The Boss Battles are almost completely different. Plus, all the bosses in Origami King have a crapton of HP and do a crapton of damage. In addition, Blocking in Origami King SUCKS ASS compared to Color Splash. In CS, Blocking halves the damage you take, so if you block a 42 damage attack, you'll only take 21 damage. That makes learning how to block really rewarding, especially in late game. In OK? Complete Garbage. It barely helps to block. If you block a 42 damage attack, you'll probably take 38 damage. It's that useless.
Also, the sound it makes when rescuing a Toad is way less satisfying in OK than in CS.
