We've finished the Advent Calendar not too long ago, but the fun doesn't end there. Welcome to the official topic of the 2025 Winter Track Building Contest! Here you will find all of the information regarding the event. EVERYONE is welcome to participate, no matter your skill or experience, and you earn rewards for your participation.
You will have to create a COMPLETE MODE circuit in the following theme:
SWEETS
and then submit your creation on this topic. Your creation will be judged by the jury at the end of the tournament.
The creations must be ORIGINAL and made for this tournament (that means you can't steal another's creation or post an internet image). You are also allowed to submit up to 3 creations, however you will only receive points for your best creation.
Tracks will receive a score out of 20 from each jury member, and to win you will need to have the highest score.
Gameplay
Layout (How interesting the layout is? Is there any shortcuts and/or alternate paths?) = /4
Design (Variety in sections and other minor design areas) = /3
Collisions (Walls, checkpoints, off-road etc) = /2
Obstacles (Goombas, Buses, Snow balls etc) = /2
Total for gameplay: /11
Decoration
Visual (How good the visuals are?) = /3
Theming (How creative/fitting is the theming?) = /2
Decoration (MKPC decors and the art itself decor as long as it fits the track) = /2
Music (Appropriate for the track) = /1
Background (MKPC background and the art itself background) = /1
Total for decoration : /9
Total for all: /20
Every track will receive points based on their score. Additional rewards will be awarded to the top 3 creations.
1st Place : 2000 VS points + a Discord 'TBC Winner' Role + the track will be highlighted for 2 weeks
2nd Place : 1500 VS points
3rd Place : 1200 VS points
The tournament ends on the 28th of January 2025 (updated date). Any submissions after that will not be counted.

Total pour la déco : /9
Grand total: /20

turns out i was an idiot and didnt entirely read the rules, and thought i could do a remake/revamp of a retro, and you cant because retro tracks arent original creations, and because i pr much only wanted to do a retro for it, ive decided not to participate

Remakes are NOT allowed (unless it's a remake of your own creation). The reason for this is because the 'layout' and to an extent 'variety' criteria are basically done for you already.

I've never done great in one of these contests, but I might as well participate just for the fun of it. (But I'm gonna warn you, my tracks are a lot better when I don't feel the need to rush myself. Expect something mid at best.)
