Peach never gets kidnapped for several months, at most, she gets kidnapped for a week.
They have never said how long it actually takes Mario himself to do it. For example, Galaxy is definitely not a week thanks to the Launch Stars he needs to take to every single level. It's going to be atleast a week to get to each one. Odyssey, likewise, is more than a week: travelling across Earth in such a slow ship.
