Anti-Gravity Sections?

I've been recently playing Mario Kart 8. (Guess who I've driven as most! :) ) And I really like the Anti-Gravity areas, where the vehicle (sorta) glows blue/orange/purple (orange/purple  depending on the drift), and the vehicle's wheels flip upside down. If that could be added, it would make the game A LOT MORE INTERESTING. Not that it isn't already interesting.

anti gravity would be near impossible but maybe gliders coule work but im not too sure

Gliders and anti-gravity can only work in 3D spaces.

Well, TECHNICALLY Mario Kart PC is 3D, but the areas aren't really. (Ex: Walls, Out of bound areas, etc.)

No, it's not. It uses sprites and layering. No models at all. There's a special program (I've forgotten it's name but it has '7' in it) that simulates depth in a 2D space.

Then can't it simulate depth in the 2d space and have a special sprite set for that? Like, in certain areas, it could then have a panel after the jump board that activates the glider, and you just slowly descend. Then you lose speed but fall slower if you press the up arrow, and gain speed but fall quicker if you press the down arrow. And steering could be as normal.

I don't see how the anti-gravity could work

For the glider, it's not interesting because the design of the current circuits do not coincide at all

the same way wargor made this game adding a section where you post messages and a section to play the game is very hard
