I know I said I'd be holding back from making reality TV fanfics until I graduate from high school, but I decided I'd write mini seasons of Toad-al Drama during winter and spring breaks. These seasons will have daily challenges, but won't feature players getting voted off, meaning strategy won't get in the way of character development, a major factor in Toad-al Drama Inferno's cancellation. Speaking of...
This first season will feature 9 former cast members from Toad-al Drama Sunshine and Inferno, and will have a huge focus on either developing the characters further, or righting the wrongs of Inferno. *cough cough* Violet becoming incredibly boring. *cough cough* Nick's character only being about Shelly and Blake. *cough cough* Despite there being no big competition, there will still be plenty of entertaining moments. The season's in the very early planning stages, but I'll begin writing on the first full day of winter break, December 22nd. The first episode will probably be published on Christmas day. Pray this won't be a massive flop.
Leading up to the premier will also be the 12 Days of Drama, which will feature fun moments from seasons past, and (re)introductions to the campers. This event will start on December 13th, and if there are any scenes you'd like to be featured, leave a comment.
Edit: Just to clarify, the format of this show will feature the characters living in Camp Yobishiko (from the first season of the original series) together for a week, kind of like The Real World or Jersey Shore, if you're into that $#!+. The drama won't come from a game, but from differing personalities, and grudges from past seasons.

It's finally here! The 12 Days of Drama event starts right now! And to kick things off, let's rewind to the very first season. In the first episode, Birdo proved to be completely useless, and after barely getting out of elimination, she wanted to make sure she was completely safe.

Birdo tries to start a conversation with Daisy and Toadette.
Birdo: Do you guys think Rosalina is too dangerous for this competition?
To avoid all the chaos of shells and bananas, the three pull over to the side.
Birdo: She has, like, these psychic abilities that I can't really describe. I have a feeling she'll use those to her advantage.
Daisy: Are you okay? You sound paranoid.
Birdo: I am. I'm doing everything I can to stay in, but I never think it will be enough.
Toadette: If we all team up, will you be okay?
Birdo: Yes thank you.

As soon as the alliance is formed, Peach and Rosalina pass them.
Peach: Hurry up!
Before they can, Bowser crosses the finish line.
Lakitu: And Bowser wins the race!
Birdo (confessional): Confession time: I wasn't looking for an alliance. I was just looking for an excuse to change the target, and it payed off. I hope.

This would become the start of Birdo's reign as the season's villain, and one of the biggest villains in the series, also playing an important part in Toad-al Drama Crossover. Now, for the first camper. A fan favorite? It's hard to say. Nobody talks about individual characters, so there aren't really any fan favorites. But I still felt the need to bring him back after writing him as little more than a joke during his first season, and eliminating him in the dumbest way possible. From Toad-al Drama Sunshine, it's...

Is it okay if I draw some of the characters in the Toad-al Drama series? They're really cool!

Go ahead! :D Just give me credit for creating the characters please. (Basically, everyone in Sunshine except Furry and Star, and all the Inferno newcomers.)

Welcome back to 12 Days of Drama! Today, I have a scene from Toad-al Drama Sunshine. Being the first season where everyone is a total stranger,  there was bound to be some drama surrounding the different personalities. This couldn't be truer for Violet and Brittany. One likes it loud, and the other, well, doesn't.

In the Noki girls' room Violet's trying to peacefully read the new Twilight fan book that she saw on the bookshelf. However, Brittany had other ideas.
Brittany: I see you like goth stuff. Don't worry, I feel you. I played Wednesday in my school's production of The Addams Family, and my life's never been the same since. You might even say I was "Pulled in a New Direction..." Not funny?
Violet: I'm sure people from all over the world flock to see your oh-so-important performance.

Brittany, not knowing Violet was being sarcastic, decides to talk about her other roles.
Brittany: You think that was great? My classmates said I did an amazing Katherine Howard in SIX. Oh, and Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, Violet in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Fiona in Shrek-
Violet: Half of those musicals aren't even licensed.

Violet goes back to reading her book. Brittany tries again to interrupt, but then Violet growls at her.
Brittany: OH! You did NOT just threaten me!
Violet: A spoiled bragger AND a drama queen. This is gonna be a long season.

Poor Violet was stuck with all the crazies, even going on to dub them the Noki Crackhouse.
You know who wasn't on that team? Our next camper. Growing up sheltered, and having to deal with her annoying twin sister Shirley, she eventually found love on the Perilous Piantas team in Toad-al Drama Sunshine, but got medically removed on her second try at winning. Please welcome...

But will her boyfriend Nick be with her this time around? You'll have to wait and see.

It's that time again! What does Toad-al Drama have for us today? A scene from Toad-al Drama Odyssey, which was cancelled not even halfway through production... I mean, the footage was lost... it wasn't cancelled, it was lost. That's what canon says at least. That being said, the season still had some fun moments. Combine big characters like Birdo, Yoshi, Boshi, and Wendy, and what do you get? This.

To keep Boshi out of his scales, Yoshi decides to introduce him to someone.
Yoshi: Boshi, this is my ex-girlfriend, Birdo.
Birdo: But you said we were never dating.
Yoshi: Did I say, "girlfriend?" I meant friend. I've never had feelings for you.
Yoshi (confessional): Fine, so I did have feelings for her. I just knew that if I told her, she'd go even crazier for me.
Boshi: Wow. I can see why you avoid her. She's the ugliest thing alive.
Birdo: Rude.
Wendy comes over to talk with Boshi about the alliance.
Boshi: Hot Mama! That is one beautiful chick.
Yoshi: Ms. Giant Lips?
Boshi: Yep.
Yoshi: Discount Minnie Mouse?
Boshi: That's right.
Yoshi (confessional): Well, that plan was an epic failure.

I don't normally include multiple scenes, but this leads to even more drama on the Voyager.

Boshi sneaks into Team Metro's area to meet up with Wendy.
Wendy: Oh. You again. Uhm... hi.
Boshi: Hello, lady. You're even lovelier than yesterday.
Wendy: Thanks, but that's not a very high bar. I wear the same bow everyday.
Boshi: I know how you feel. I wear the same shades everyday, but only because these eyes were made to kill.
Boshi lifts up his sunglasses.
Wendy: You're right, they were.
After a little more conversation, the two kiss, and just when they were about to leave, Larry opens to bathroom door.
Larry: I heard everything.
Wendy: If you promise to not tell anyone, I promise not to vote against you.
Larry: It's a deal.

Boshi (confessional): YES! I FINALLY HAVE A GIRLFRIEND TO RIVAL YOSHI'S!
Yoshi (confessional): For the last time, Birdo is not my girlfriend.

Later, Larry flops hard at the challenge, and does the unthinkable.

Larry (confessional): Of course we lost, and it's on me. I already know I'm going home, so I'm gonna go out with a bang.
Larry sneaks into the engine room and takes control of the speakers.
Larry: ATTENTION PASSENGERS! I'D LIKE TO INTRODUCE YOU TO YOUR VERY FIRST TOAD-AL DRAMA COUPLE! GIVE IT UP FOR WENDY AND BOSHI!

Quite a wild ride for all five of them. And speaking of couples, I said yesterday that Shelly will be returning, and today, I'm happy to announce that alongside her is...

NICK!

It's Day 4 of Drama, and I have for you a scene from Toad-al Drama Crossover, a season that never should've existed, but still had some interesting moments. When it was announced that a group of Mario characters would compete against a group of Sonic characters, a decision that would've been a lot better if I didn't just use everyone's Boom versions, Yoshi was very excited, and just would not shut up about his love for the community.

Meanwhile, Yoshi is keeping the others up by telling them his strange shipping habits.
Yoshi: I don't really support Sonamy. It's fine in Sonic Boom I guess, but in the games, she's crazy for him, and he couldn't care less. I'm more of a Sonally guy.
And why the heck does everyone ship Knuckles and Rouge while also shipping Rouge with Shadow? Pick a man for her.

Bowser (confessional): It was kinda cute at first, but then after about five minutes, it started getting old. Like, who cares about Tails and Sticks?
Yoshi (confessional): Has nobody here ever heard of "opposites attract?"
Bowser: I'm giving you a choice, Yoshi. Either shut up, or get voted out.
Yoshi: It's probably just excitement. It should wear off by the end of the day.
Knuckles: Yeah, relax, he's just a kid. He can ship whatever toys he wants to his house. I just wonder why they always have to come in twos?

Sadly, he and Knuckles were eliminated after losing a sudden death challenge, but all the boys, especially Bowser, rejoiced when he was gone.
Now, onto the next camper reveal. This soft soul made many friends, and just as many enemies during her time on Toad-al Drama Sunshine. After losing to Min, she felt like she dodged a bullet when she learned she wasn't cast for the next season. But has she been keeping up? How will she react to the changes made in her fellow campers? The next to return is...

Day 5 of the 12 Days of Drama! Here's another scene from Toad-al Drama Crossover, during the Strikers challenge.

Because hardly anyone is on her side of the field, Birdo decides to take a look at what's happening on the sit-out bench.
Rouge: It's Luigi, right?
Luigi: Yep.
Rouge: Are you single?
Luigi: No.
Rouge: A man of few words. Most boys I've dated just would not shut up about anything. And also, you're kinda cute.
Luigi: Uh, thanks?
Rouge: My guess is that you're with that jerk Daisy. Have you seen the way she's been treating her so-called gal pal lately?
Luigi: Well...
Rouge: I will never treat you like that.
Rouge leans in and kisses Luigi on the lips while Birdo looks in horror. The ball is then shot into her goal.
Daisy: What the heck was that, Birdo? You had one easy job and you blew it!
Birdo: I can explain.
Daisy: What was so important over there that you had to let them break our streak?
Birdo: I'll explain it at dinner.
Daisy: You'd better.

For the first person voted out by her fellow players, Rouge certainly had some entertaining moments. I'm not drawing cast photos anymore. I can't commit to doing that everyday. I'm just gonna be straight. The next camper is Blake, a notorious villain from Toad-al Drama Sunshine who attempted to fix his reputation in the next season. But since Lakitu cancelled the season, we'll never get to see how his story ended. Luckily, the next chapter will be coming shortly.

So I skipped yesterday, and decided I'm just gonna drop the 12 Days of Drama event. Don't worry, the season itself is definitely happening. I just don't wanna get accused of multiple consecutive posts when nobody is replying. I still remember this interaction on the Toad-al Drama Sunshine topic.

Working on the second episode, and I'm just now figuring out how hard it is to create drama when most of it came from the million-coin competition. It's really tough to write this without it either feeling like a sitcom, or just a regular day. Characters like Furry Bro. and Violet are sure to provide some interesting scenes, but I'm worried the whole series is going to lay on their shoulders. Not cancelled yet! I at least wanna release the first episode tomorrow to see what y'all think. (Although nothing really happens until the second episode, so I'll release that too the day after.)
It was an awful idea for me to just remove the competition entirely instead of just finding a balance. I swear, every season since Odyssey has had a massive problem.
Island- Barely any flaws
Odyssey- Potential lost due to my overexcitement to start Crossover early
Crossover- An awful concept, boring cast, and predictable pre-merge
Sunshine- The sudden switch to using OCS may have thrown some readers off, but imo it was still a solid season
Inferno- Everything after the first few episodes was boring as all heck

Decided not to finish the second episode until I know you like the first one because I just have so much to do today.

‘Tis the first day of winter break, and there is no reason, for the Toad-al Drama team to film another season. After Toad-al Drama Inferno, the cancelled season 5, Lakitu is determined to keep the show alive.
Lakitu: Did you miss us? We know, last season was a huge disappointment. Your favorite contestants became game bots with no personality. We had just four more episodes to air, but we couldn’t find any good content. We’re back now, trying out a completely new formula. The campers will still compete in daily challenges, but won’t be voting each other out. That doesn’t mean we won’t have some twists for them though. And who better to test this out than a batch of campers from the past two seasons? Winter break has just started for them, and they’ve decided not to spend the holidays with their family, but with their friends and enemies from seasons past. Whatever floats your boat, I guess. Speaking of boats…
9 boats can be seen approaching the season’s location, Camp Yobishiko, the place where it all started. Despite not being taken care of for about a year and a half, the camp is no more rundown than it was in the first season.
Lakitu: Our campers are arriving! Let’s see who’s participating.
The first camper to step foot on the island is a Koopa all decked out in purple, from her shell, to her hoodie, to the dyed end of her brown ponytail.
Lakitu: Shelly! How ya doin’?
Shelly: Still scarred from last season, but it feels nice being in a much more relaxed environment. It reminds me of Toad-al Drama Sunshine.
Lakitu: Oh, this will be anything but relaxing. Next!
A Dry Bones approaches the pair. The top half of her skull is blue, and her shoes are as purple as her glowing eyes. The look on her face suggests she’s already fed up.
Lakitu: If it isn’t Violet. One of the biggest reasons Inferno had to stop.
Violet: Uhm, sorry there were no idiots for me to be annoyed at?
Lakitu: Our next camper wasn’t there for Inferno, but she made it long enough in Sunshine to become the runner-up.
A pink Yoshi wearing yellow shoes cautiously steps onto the Island. She’s relieved to see a couple of familiar faces.
Lakitu: Welcome back, Lizzy! Got anything to say?
Lizzy: So this is Camp Yobishiko. It’s just as beautiful as I imagined.
Lakitu: It’s not supposed to be beautiful. Our next camper is also someone you might remember from Toad-al Drama Sunshine.
An orange-shelled Hammer Bro. steps off the boat, wearing a fox hat and shoes that resemble cat paws.
Lakitu: Hey, Furry! Long time, no see.
Furry Bro.: It’s been too long, no see enough… okay, that sounded way better in my head.
Lakitu: Looks like you got your hat back.
Furry Bro.: Production decided to be nice and hand it back after I was eliminated.
Lakitu: I’m gonna need to have a word with them. Anyway, next up is someone Shelly might recognize.
Shelly: Please don’t be Nick, please don’t be Nick.
Lakitu: Why not? Aren’t you two dating?
Shelly: Yes, but we live about 20 minutes away from each other. I signed up for this to meet up with those farther away.
Lakitu: Well too bad. Here he is anyway.
A blue-shelled Paratroopa wearing green shoes and a pair of glasses flutters onto the scene.
Nick: Shoot.
Lakitu: So you both wanted to get away from each other?
Shelly + Nick: Yep.
Lakitu: Well, this should make for an interesting week. Our next camper was a major character in Sunshine before being infected by the game bot virus in Inferno.
A blue Yoshi wearing purple shoes steps onto the island.
Blake: I honestly don’t think I changed that much. And how is this show still on? Everyone knows you can’t even cancel one season midway through without the whole series going down, let alone two.
Lakitu: Well, we already had plans for Toad-al Drama Superstars, and this was the closest we were gonna get. Next up is… a pre-merge boot from Sunshine that never came back. Odd choice, but here he is.
A red-and-black-shelled Paratroopa wearing a crown approaches the scene, with his memory of his last time on kind of fuzzy.
Lakitu: Hi again, Star.
Star: He-he… hi.
Violet: First Nifty Noki other than me, and he’s the most normal one. Don’t mess this up, Lakitu.
Lakitu: Will and Rocky were alternates for this season, but unfortunately, everyone on the original list accepted. Our final two campers made their debut on Toad-al Drama Inferno, and wound up as the finalists. Please welcome back…
A pink Birdo with a cyan sporting outfit steps foot on the camp next to an orange-shelled Fire Bro. wearing a light-blue helmet and shoes.
Lakitu: Emma and Flambo!
Emma: I’m kinda mad nobody got to see our showdown.
Flambo: I know, that went down to a few seconds.
Lakitu: Trust me, nobody wants to see the crap that led up to it. Now that everybody’s here, I’d like to officially welcome all of you to Toad-al! Drama! Mini! Hectic Holiday!
Everyone claps and cheers before letting Lakitu continue.
Lakitu: All of you made the last one and a half season very entertaining, but I want to give you some to relax. No lying, no mind games, no alliances, no major competition for the most part. Just nine conflicting personalities staying at a winter-fied summer camp for the week. There will still be some challenges for you though. On this island is a tiny one-room cabin with 9 tightly-packed bunk beds for you, and a gross outhouse right outside it. There is also a mess hall where you’ll have to eat the most disgusting “food” ever cooked by Chef Guy.
Blake: You brought Chef Guy back?!
Lakitu: Since when was that a big deal? As I was saying, awful living conditions. If you can complete this simple task, you won’t have to worry about any of that. You will be given 10 minutes to hide anywhere you want. When your 10 minutes are up, Chef Guy will start searching for campers. If you get hit by his frying pan, you’re out. At the end of 1 hour, if anyone is still hidden, you will move into a larger cabin with four two-person bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, an eat-in kitchen, and a porch where you can enjoy the view, because being outside is overrated. Worth playing for?
Blake: Wrong show, dude.
Lakitu: 3… 2… 1… GO! By the way, your 10 minutes started as soon as you hit the beach. I’d be running if I were you.
Immediately, it’s a mad dash to find the best hiding place. Being a fan of dark places, Violet decides to hide deep in the woods. She finds a small swamp, and steps in.
Violet (confessional): I probably have a very high chance at claiming victory for the team because I purposefully hide from others, so I do whatever it takes to get away from people. Except on Toad-al Drama of course, can’t really avoid people on here. And I chose the swamp because if Chef Guy does find me, I can… *sigh* play whack-a-mole with him, for lack of a more mature term. At least, that’s what I thought before this happened.
Chef Guy, already submerged in the swamp, sneaks up on Violet and smacks her into a hundred pieces. While Violet failed laying low, Shelly, Lizzy, and Emma are flying high.
Shelly: And here it is. The highest tree in Camp Yobishiko.
Emma: What are we waiting for?
Emma and Lizzy start climbing the tree while Shelly flies to the top.
Lizzy: I have a really bad feeling about this. Can’t Chef Guy just climb up here and hit us the same way we did?
Shelly: He literally has stubs for limbs. How good of a climber can he be?
Suddenly, the trio can feel their safe place shaking. They look down, and see Chef Guy whacking at it with his frying pan.
Shelly: Okay, bye.
Emma: Need I remind you this is a team effort?
Shelly: And it’s better for the team if two people get caught rather than all three.
Shelly flies off to find another hiding spot before Emma and Lizzy fall down, and are hit by Chef Guy. On her search, she bumps into Nick.
Shelly: Mind telling me where your hiding spot is?
Nick: I don’t have one. Chef Guy can’t fly, so I’m playing it smart and keeping it out of his range.
Lakitu: ATTENTION CAMPERS! IT HAS COME TO MY ATTENTION THAT THE LOVE BIRDS ARE ABUSING THEIR WINGS! NICK, SHELLY, YOU’RE DISQUALIFIED!
Meanwhile, Star is taking a very… unique approach.
Star (confessional): I know for a fact there’s gotta be a privacy policy on this show. If I just stay in here for the whole game, Chef Guy will have to oblige… *BANG* *BANG* WOAH! What’s going on? *BANG* *BANG* *BANG* CAN’T YOU SEE I’M BUSY?! *BANG* OWWWWWW! Shoot.
Blake decides to use his knowledge of Toad-al Drama past to his advantage.
Blake (confessional): Chef Guy doesn’t expect us to hide in the big cabin since we haven’t unlocked it yet. I know Larry tried this strategy in Toad-al Drama Island, and his team failed miserably, but he’s Larry. I’m Blake. I can make it work. And conveniently, there’s a window already cracked.
Blake climbs up to the window and carefully slips in.
Blake (confessional): Unfortunately, there’s a window already cracked.
Blake walks into the kitchen and is immediately hit in the face by Chef Guy’s frying pan.
Lakitu: TIME IS UP, CHEF GUY!
All the found campers go back to the dock for a body count.
Chef Guy: I think that’s everyone.
Lakitu: 1… 2… 3… 6… 8… I don’t see a ninth.
A guy in a frog suit then emerges from the lake.
Furry Bro.: You searched the outhouse but not the lake? Gosh, you’re an idiot.
Everyone: FURRY?!
Lakitu: Congratulations, campers! You have successfully completed the challenge, just barely, and have unlocked the luxury-ish cabin. Go have some fun. You deserve it. As for the viewers at home, I hope you enjoy this spin-off season of Toad-al! Drama! Mini!
