The problematic state of MKPC

As you can see from the topic title, I'm going to be talking about just how bad MKPC is at the moment, and it all comes down to 1 word: dramas. I know I've made a message about it on another topic, but here I'm gonna go into much more detail.
Like I mentioned above, there are a whole lot of dramas. These can range from being mad about a track rating, an immature kid breaking the rules, and more. No matter the reason, 99% of the time it's unnecessary and has no reason to exist. If I were to ask you for a recent drama that had purpose, I'd be surprised if you actually found one. Anyway, this causes lots of problems for a lot of reasons. First of all, they are a waste of everyone's time. People would rather be doing other things than dealing with a pointless drama. Secondly, the conclusion of the drama wont change no matter how long it takes. If it's a drama relating to an immature kid, it's likely just gonna end with the kid getting bored, while a drama relating to more mature members will usually just have the culprit admitting their mistakes. This is an easy fix, in terms of more mature dramas: just admit your mistakes early. So many dramas just drag on because no one is willing to admit their mistakes, which if they did, that's already some dramas cut down. However in relation to kid dramas, you'll likely just have to wait them out
MKPC didn't used to be like this. It used to be a rare thing to find an sort of drama, but now, dramas are increasing more and more. I joined around the time the forum got problematic. From my experience, it seemed like the first big wave of dramas came with Tendo and the MK hype. But after these were dealt with, dramas didn't stop. They just kept coming, which lead Max to make a topic about a similar thing, which lead to new mods, being him and Tox. But even with these new mods, problems didn't stop coming, and as more came, mod activity dropped.
In terms of moderation, we have one active mod: Max. All the other mods are inactive now, either due to timezones or just being tired of the forum. Max being the only mod leads to him having a lot of stress, and combined with how frequent dramas there are, it is too much for him to handle. Doesn't help that he's frequently having to deal with dramas himself, with Nodac, who is constantly trying to belittle him over one track: Pirate Battle While I dont really have much else to say on this topic, just know that this has likely been effecting Max quite a bit. This shouldn't be too hard of a fix: New moderator(s). This would mean all the effort isn't put on a single person, and can even help deal with kid dramas. Other people have suggested this idea, like IlluZhion on his own topic. It would also make less people want to leave the forum, since there would be overall less problems for them to have to handle. This could also lead to less topics about all the dramas, and once that happens, you know a increase in peace has been achieved

Best topic ever made in MKPC since early 2022, I love this serious side of you.
This is well said, well detailed, not slandering anyone, but saying the truth only.
Only problem is : who are the new moderators gonna be ?

We can't really know tbh. It could honestly be anyone that the mods deem good. And at the end of the day, it's mod decision if we even have an application in the first place

What I'm tired of is how these topics feel about as common as the dramas, and yet nothing happens. Maybe I just aren't as active (considering most of what I do is make tracks and shitpost), but it really isn't as bad as you make it out. But yes, we do need new mods, the issue is that Wargor and other higherups aren't seeing this, so it's virtually pointless.

I understand you. I mainly stay on topics of people I follow, so I dont see as much dramas as other people seem to, though occasionally I check out other topics and usually there has been a drama. Also, there is one higher up seeing this, @-Max-, who has easier communication with other ones

This is the reason why MKPC doesn't have much of a playerbase to begin with. It's because of all these spoiled brats who do nothing but go to the forums and start this crazy stuff.
It even happened on Hopping's birthday for crying out loud

I agree with this and I also agree that there needs to be more active moderation in the NA timezone as well, which is the whole reason that I was once an admin pretty much. Obviously we know what happened and why I'm not lol but if there is a trustworthy person that is available to be active and is in the NA or EU timezone they should apply if there is a mod application

Yea honestly the dramas are going crazy. We probably need a few more mods, even if it won't completely end them at least it'll be reduced.
I also think that creators of tracks should have the power to disable comments on their tracks, similar to locking topics. A lot of dramas happen there too.
Oh and btw I mentioned that there's a "MKPC" part to the site that more people should check out
The site is meant to be for a game, and not a twitter for 9yo kids
Hopefully everyone gets the message

I joined this place because I love Mario Kart, and I get to play it here. But considering the absolute fucking shit that nobody wants to hear or deal with is too much. This is so fucking stupid that Max has to deal with this shit EVERY SINGLE GOD DAMN DAY. If you assess that are creating this drama see this, JUST STOP. Nobody wants to hear you bitch about the "how you hate the track" or "but I'm right and you're wrong" that NOBODY asked for. I'm so fucking tired of you guys filling these forums and tracks with your garbage and stop. Max is a great person and doesn't need to deal with this. The reason we still have this place is because of Max. He keeps order to this place and we need to respect him. SO STOP PUTTING YOUR SHITPOST ALL OVER THIS PLACE, IT'S FUCKING ANNOYING!!

Progress. Progress please. We begs.
@-Max- have the mods been talking about this? Sorry to bug you but it is important to make sure the community is peaceful again.
EDIT; specifically, it is important that the community stays peaceful. You know, take precautions, that sort of thing. It's nice that it's quieted down but I'm so tired of the dramas that I'm gettin' a lil obsessive about it. It'd be nice to just know something's actually being done to ensure there aren't any more of the irritating dramas and arguments in the future.

I think there is no need to rush so far. Since all of those topics were created, the community calmed down a lot, however I agree that this is the right moment to gather information, communicate and publish official statements, because so far other administrators haven't been responding that much (aside from Max and BJ03)
