As you know, today, I'm supposed to write and release the first episode of Mario Kart Survivor. I had plenty of time to plan since I just finished Thanksgiving break. However, what do I do in that time-span? I think of ideas for new tracks, when I could be working on Luigi's Mansion for Retro Kart 3. I also spend half an hour a day getting overly frustrated at Super Mario Galaxy. (What am I doing with my life?) I haven't done any planning yet, so I'm just gonna wing it.

It's now starting

Here is the first episode of Mario Kart Survivor.

A black Yoshi stands on the deserts of Saudi Arabia, where a new show is about to start. "I'm Cucumber, and I'll be your host. What am I hosting? I'll tell you." The camera zooms in on eight Mario Kart characters driving their karts or bikes to the starting area. "These 8 are about to experience the adventure of a lifetime. Split into two teams, they will battle it out in the wild for 11 days. In the end, only one can become the very first Sole Survivor. 11 Days! 8 Drivers! 1 Survivor!"

The Drivers get off their vehicles, and split up into their Tribes. "Welcome to Mario Kart Survivor," says Cucumber. "You all know the format, so let's talk about what could happen this season. Koopa Troopa, Yoshi, I know you two are gonna have a really bad time." Everyone laughs except for the two mentioned. "And Mario, what are your thoughts on being on a team with two Koopalings?
Worried but confident, Mario says, "I'm just gonna have to get rid of them as soon as possible. It's never a good idea to trust a Koopaling.
"Well, with that, you can head to your camps. But don't get too comfortable, 'cause we have a Reward Challenge later today."

Fatar- Day 1
After a long, grueling hike, Fatar finally finds their camp. Being the tomboy she is, Daisy decides to take charge. "There's only four of us right now, so we should all get started on building a shelter. I need everyone to pull as much weight as they can."
Peach (confessional): "I was very excited to find out that I was working with Daisy. However, as soon as we get to our camp, she just forgets that everyone else is a lightweight. I want to do stuff for the Tribe, but I'm not gonna build a shelter. That's a job for heavyweights."
"Uhm, Daisy? A little help here?" Koopa Troopa asks as he tries to carry a big tree.
Not knowing what to say, Daisy tells him, "When I told everyone to pitch in, I didn't mean it like that. I can take the lead if you want. I'm just happy with you doing anything to help."
"Oh. Thank you." Koopa Troopa thinks that his troubles are over, but then he sees Yoshi. "You."
"Uh, hi."
"You thought you could get away with killing my family?"
"I... I..."
"Speechless? I thought so."
"But your master-"
"I work as a slave to him! I don't get any pay! To be honest, I don't even like him either. But you killed my innocent family, and you will pay for it."
"It's not my fault Mario keeps punching me in the head."
"He's at the other camp, so now, you can avoid eating me as well."
"I signed a contract that said I couldn't kill anyone. You really think I would break a contract?"
Trying to defend his point, Koopa Troopa replies, "Remember when you committed tax fraud?"
"That wasn't a contract."
"But it was still a law that you broke."
"Fine. What do I need to do to pay?"
"I want you to put yourself out there and tell the entire Tribe that you're up to no good."
"W- What do you mean by 'no good?'" Yoshi asks.
"Threaten to vote them out, steal their kart, tell them you're idol hunting, do whatever you want."
Yoshi (confessional): "This is the worst day of my life. Sure, I have a chance to win a million coins, but in doing so, my prey is trying to get revenge on me, so I have to break character, which I don't like doing.

Najima- Day 1
"I don't know why he would say such a thing," Wendy says, referring to what Mario said in the first minute.
"You've been ranting about this for over an hour," says an irritated Iggy. "Can you please just talk about something else?"
"Okay," says Wendy. "I wasn't made for this. My shell's losing its color. My shoes are falling apart. Why did I choose to do this?"
Wendy (confessional): "I swear I didn't sign up for this. When MysteryMan starting casting, he didn't even do applications. He just recruited a seemingly random bunch of contestants. Way to go. You done messed up."
"First of all, you really think it was a good idea to wear heels on Survivor? Second, all you do is complain. Why can't you say something positive for once?"
"I am positive that you're as annoying as ever."
"Are you sure you're not talking to yourself?"
"I'm talking to you," Wendy tells him. "Let me do an impression of you. 'Hi. I'm Iggy. I am technology-obsessed, and can't spend a minute without my low-quality Nintendo DS. I also have a metal airship, and I'm the biggest weirdo in the Koopa family.'"
"I wanted to be in an alliance with you," says Iggy, "but I guess you don't want that."
"Fine. I'll be in your stupid alliance, but just know that we're only half the tribe."
"You can join under one condition."
"And what would that be?"
"I decided to not bring my DS with me, so I think it's only fair that you throw out something that you can't live without."
Wendy takes off her heels and says, "These aren't worth anything anymore."
"Welcome to the first alliance of the season."
Iggy (confessional): "Which would be a better name? Najima Minions or the Koopa Klub? Wendy and I have never gotten along before, so this is a big moment in my life."

Fatar- Day 1
Peach walks over with a rolled up piece of parchment. "We got Tree-mail, guys!"
"What does it say?" Daisy asks.
"Get ready for nostalgia from 1992.
You only have three chances.
Make sure nobody hits you.
It's only the first day,
But you're playing for a prize.
Whoever wins today
Will have fire by sunrise."

Reward- Day 1
Everyone drives into the Challenge Arena, and they find a bunch of colored blocks everywhere. They also see 6 balloons. "Welcome to your very first Reward Challenge," says Cucumber. "One person from each tribe will compete in a classic Balloon Battle. You will use items to hit each other, and the last player standing wins fire in the form of flint. Fatar, who's playing for you?"
"I will," says Yoshi.
"And I'll represent.. Nashima? Nahima? How do you... nevermind. I'll play for the blue team," Iggy replies.

"Here we go. 3... 2... 1... GO!"
Iggy is the first to hit an Item Box, quickly followed by Yoshi. Iggy gets a banana, while Yoshi gets a red shell. Yoshi drags the red shell behind him, going for a second item box. He then gets a green sheel. Iggy drags his banana behind him, seeing Yoshi's red shell. However, Yoshi throws the shell right in front of him, so Iggy is down to two balloons. Iggy then hits another item box. "Please be a blue shell. Please be a blue shell." He gets a mega mushroom instead. He chases after Yoshi, and pops his first balloon.

Elapsed Time: 2 minutes
Each player has only one balloon left now. Yoshi has triple green shells, and Iggy has a bob-omb. Now that he has a full circle of protection, Yoshi drives straight towards Iggy, hoping that simply ramming into him would give Fatar the win. He gets closer and closer, and then...

Now that the first episode has aired, I have a few questions.
1. who are you rooting for? Unfortunately, I didn't show Mario or Diddy Kong at all, but I'll be sure to show them in the next episode.
2. What do you think will happen at the Reward Challenge?
3. If I was to make a season 2, what elements from this season should I bring back?
4. What should I change if there was a second season?

"He had such a good strategy, though," Diddy Kong tells Mario.
"Listen, just because he won a Challenge for us doesn't mean he should be trusted," Mario argues. "He could use his brains against us."
"I know you don't wanna side with Iggy, but an alliance of three is better than an alliance of two."
"I didn't say we were an alliance, Diddy," Mario tells him, confused.
"I just thought we were because we were the outsiders."
"The two of us against the two of them? We'd go to rocks every time."
Diddy Kong (confessional): "Mario just seems way too under-confident. He's always worried about whether we'll lose to them or not, when I know he can take them down."
"I didn't think about that," says Diddy Kong. "But do you still think we could defeat the Koopalings?"
"We'll have to if we wanna stand a chance at winning."

Fatar- Day 1
"I really don't wanna do this," Yoshi tells Koopa Troopa.
"You either betray your tribe, or the tables turn, and you become MY next meal."
"Is there a deadline?"
"No deadline, but the sooner the better."
Yoshi suddenly smiles, and says, "Okay, Koops."
He walks over to the fireplace, where Peach and Daisy are talking with each other. Here goes nothing, he tells himself. "Girls, sorry to disturb you, but there's something I wanna tell you."
"What is it?" Peach asked him.
"I'm up to no good."
"What do you mean by, 'no good?'" says Daisy.
"Nothing good will happen to Koopa Troopa," Yoshi says with a confident look on his face. "He told me I would pay for doing something that wasn't even my fault, and he told me to tell you that I was up to no good. Bam! Loophole!"
Yoshi (confessional): "In case you didn't know what I meant, when I said I was up to no good, I didn't say that I wasn't doing anything good for Peach and Daisy. I was just saying that I wasn't doing anything good, and I aimed that at Koopa Troopa."
"So we're voting against him?" Daisy asks.
"Definitely."

Najima- Day 2
"I found something, but I don't know what it is!" Iggy announces.
Wendy picks it up and says, "It's just Tree-mail, idiot." She spins a tire around. The words on it read,
"2 days, 10 gates,
No race, but big stakes.
Drive through, one-by-one,
Or else your night won't be much fun."

Immunity- Day 2
"Come on in, guys!" Cucumber calls. "Welcome to your first Immunity Challenge. One at a time, your tribe's representative will drive through 10 numbered gates in order. Whoever can finish in the fastest time wins Immunity for their tribe. Iggy, Yoshi, you can't compete since you already did yesterday."
"I'll go for my team," says Mario.
"And I'll play for mine," says Daisy.
"Okay, then. Daisy, you'll go first."

"Don't you think Yoshi is kinda sus?" Daisy asks Peach.
"I know," she replies. "He seemed way too paranoid."
"Maybe we should try to get rid of him," Daisy suggests.
"Probably," says Peach. "But would you rather keep around Yoshi or a koopa?"
Daisy (confessional): "I don't understand what is wrong with Peach. She cares more about relationships than the game, which definitely won't give her a win of any kind."
"Honestly, I'd rather keep Koopa Troopa. Yoshi doesn't take things personally when it comes to sports, go-karting, etc. Don't worry about hurting his feelings. To me, it doesn't matter."
"I'll vote against Yoshi then," says Peach.
"However, we'll need to get Koopa Troopa on our side."
"That'll be the easiest thing ever. They despise each other."

Tribal Council- Night 2
The Tribal Council hut is lit up for the Tribal Council in the series. "Behind each of you is a torch," says Cucumber. "Grab it and dip it in the fire. Fire represents your life. Once your fire's gone, so are you. Koopa Troopa, how does it feel to be a contestant on the first season ever?"
"This could be my only chance to please Bowser," he replies. "It's hard being a slave to someone who you really hate, so this is also an opportunity to get away from him."
Cucumber then asks, "Peach, I heard that in both Challenges, you picked your representatives based on who's the fastest in Mario Kart 8. Am I right?"
"Yes, you are," Peach says.
"Yoshi, what do you think of that approach considering you lost both times?"
Yoshi says, "It's probably best that we abandon that strategy. However, I heard that Najima did it as well, and they won both times. I guess it's just luck."
"Daisy, is there anything you wanna say before the vote?"
"No."
"Okay then. It is time to vote. Koopa Troopa, you're up." Once everyone finishes, Cucumber says, "Whoever has the most votes will be asked to leave immediately. I'll read the votes. First vote...

Day 3
Everyone arrives at the Challenge Arena, wondering what they were sent there for. "Hello, everyone," says Cucumber. "As you can see, Yoshi has been voted out of the Fatar Tribe. Now that we have that out of the way, I'd like to tell you that while we were casting, we made a mistake. We made the cast too small for a season, with tribes of four. After a single Tribal Council, the game will be either too easy, or too hard. Therefore, everybody... drop your buffs!"
Koopa Troopa *confessional*: "I can't believe it! We're merging already! The game gets very interesting at this point, but it seems a little early for this."
"You will all stay at the former Najima camp, where you will spend the rest of the game as one tribe."

Final 7- Day 3
"So, how were the first couple of days?" Koopa Troopa asks Iggy and Wendy.
"I was stuck with Wendy, so in other words, not good," Iggy replies.
"As for me, I lost everything," Wendy says.
"What do you mean?" Koopa Troopa asks out of confusion.
"Iggy made me throw my shoes away to become a part of his alliance. My bow is also a mess, and my shell's color is fading."
"I think it was for the better," says Iggy.
"Me too," Koopa Troopa replies. "You gotta get out of your luxurious life every once in a while."
"I got out of it, so I'm gonna get back in it."
"But it's only the third day!" Iggy argues.
"Listen, jerk," Wendy says, "The longest I've ever spent camping was an hour. I think this is enough of an accomplishment."
"But if you make it to the end..." Iggy then gets an idea. "You always say you want to grow up as the richest turtle in the world, right?"
"Uh huh."
"If you toughen up and win, you could get a million coins."
"A million?"
"One followed by six zeroes. Imagine all the stuff you could buy."
"You're right... or I can just quit the game after stealing some cash."

"I'm thinking Mario," Daisy tells Peach after being asked about tomorrow's vote. "He just seems too likable, and everyone will vote for him in the finals."
"Can I talk with you, Daisy?" Wendy asks.
"Uh, sure. What do you need?"
"You seem kind of... wow. What is that?" she says after looking at Daisy's tiara. "It's beautiful."
"Thanks," Daisy replies, unaware of Wendy's plan.
"As I was saying, you seem kind of desperate for a third ally."
"I do need one really badly."
"I can be that third ally," Wendy says. "But it'll come at a price."
"What price? Whatever it is, I'll pay it."
"I never saw this side of you before. What happened to the tomboy in you? Nevermind. Anyway, the price... is you tiara."
"I would never give that up. It's been passed down for so many generations."
"If you give it to me and win the game, you can buy yourself another one. Nobody else will know."
"This is airing on live TV. Everyone will know."
"You leave me with no choice." Wendy takes her tiara right off of her head, and uses her wand to teleport herself back home.

Reward Challenge- Day 3
Everyone enters the Arena, still shocked by what happened earlier at camp. "First off," says Cucumber, "We hijacked the Koopalings' wands so that they didn't send the straight home. She should be back in 3... 2..." Wendy then shows up in a flash of pink and purple light. "Now that she's back, welcome to your next Reward Challenge. In the middle of the Arena is a giant watermelon. All of you will try to roll that watermelon over to your station. The first person to get it there wins.

"Here we go. For Reward, Survivors ready... go!" Everyone starts running towards the watermelon. So far, Mario and Yoshi are the ones fighting each other the most. Every time Mario gets an inch away from finishing, Yoshi snags it from him, and vice versa. Then, Daisy kicks in. She snatches the watermelon, and rolls it faster then the last two. And then, it touches her mat. "Daisy wins Reward!"

Hey guys. I haven't been very active lately, since I'm busy with school, Retro Kart 3, and planning for a new quick mode multicup. I'm also not interested in doing this anymore. I don't know why, I'm just not. Therefore, I'm discontinuing the show. If I decide to reboot it, I'll bring a lot of changes including:
