Even on official tracks, it's a very strong safety net. If you skip a checkpoint the bullet bill takes you back to ensure you complete the lap.

However, I think bullet bill always help you. For example, if the track is wide and have bunch of boosts, it may be slower than using all boost panels. I think the OP ones is blue shell. In other mario kart games, blue shell just blows out and if the player reaches the ground, he/she can drive again. But in here, of course it blows out, and cause to spin on the ground for 3-4 times. Also, due to extreme rubberbanding, blue shell may also hit the 2nd place. Blue shell is also stupid, to target the new 1st place driver, which makes you get exploded!

- Tracks with no boundaries
Golden Mushroom:
- Tracks with large off road sections and walls
- Wide tracks
Bullet bill sucks in 200cc, you make very little progress. Golden mushrooms are probably better imo.
Blue shells are not op they don't help the person who used it

It's between Bullet Bill and Golden Mushroom currently, and here's my thought process:
Bullet Bills: Significant speed increase, automatic, but length depends on your position and it doesn't take the best lines.
Golden Mushroom: Lasts significantly longer, allows players to still drive well, but leaves room for error.
Either could be better depending on your skill

Star is good because you are invincible. But on RR that's useless u can fall.
SHock is good but helpn't you
bullet sucks in 200 cc but that's very powerful and invincible + very fast and u can't fall. but that can stop just in front of a hole or above a hole (Yoshi Zoo FWS MK4O )
And golden is very good but useless on narrow tracks with holes.
