Favourite Mario Kart Game?

Just started playing MKPC, and haven't made a forum post yet. This is going to be my first one! I'm not sure if this is a commonly asked question on here or what, but I thought it would be a fun topic to discuss!

There has 100% been another topic of this nature in my mind, so I'll just quote what I said in that topic.

That's actually quite interesting that you like Super Circuit as much as you do. Most people that I have heard talk about the game don't like it that much. I wouldn't say it's my favourite, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it when I played through it.    

Yeah it's mostly an unpopular opinion, game's mechanics aren't super beginner-friendly so I'd imagine most leave it towards the bottom of their lists without much thought to it and then go on with their day.

Here's my list in the form of a ranking from worst to best, and I may get some hate:

10.Mario Kart Super Circuit
9.Super Mario Kart
8.Mario Kart Wii (Definitely the one I'm expecting hate on)
7.Mario Kart 64
6.Mario Kart Tour
5.Mario Kart Double Dash!!
4.Mario Kart 8
3.Mario Kart DS
2.Mario Kart 7
1.Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

And before you ask, yes, I have played all of them except Double Dash.

Edit on August 14: I've revisited MK Tour, and I actually like it. So, I've moved it up to where MK 64 used to be.

C'mon Why Hate On Mario Kart wii i's One Of The Best Mario Kart Games

Ho boy, here we go...

I feel like the cons outweigh the pros. What I mean by that is this:

Pros: Some of my favorite tracks in the series are in it such as, Coconut Mall, Maple Treeway, Toad's Factory, and Moonview Highway.

The character selection is fantastic, no doubt. The kart selection is fantastic too.

The music is awesome too.

Cons: The item distribution is absolutely terrible, the worst in the series. All at once, I've been hit by a blue shell, a POW block, and a lightning(maybe not in that order.)


Rubber banding is pretty bad too. I wouldn't say AS bad as 64, but pretty close.


Controls are..eh, they could be better.


Wario's Gold Mine. Nuff said.

If I think of more, I'll edit this post but for the time being, this is good enough.
