On 2026-07-29 at 23:03:15 in What is your favourite Mario Kar...
I have 5 favorites here.
1. Mario Kart World
This is my top spot because I've wanted to play it since I saw the trailer. After trying a demo at Walmart and getting a Nintendo Switch 2 for Christmas, it became an instant favorite. The tracks, especially Rainbow Road, were stunning. I enjoyed the Knockout tour and worked to earn 3 stars on the new ones. I loved the characters and costumes, using Dolphin and Luigi a lot (and I don’t use the Dolphin Bike with Dolphin, so no critiques, please!). The tricks and stunts feel great to pull off! Sure, some will say 8 Deluxe is better, but I found this game to be very cool all in all. My only nitpick is I wished the NCP drivers had more expressions and more animations, but it's overall a very cool game.
2. Mario Kart 7
The reason why this is my favorite is that this Mario Kart game is by far very underrated! I actually enjoyed the Nitro tracks, and I thought the character line-up was pretty decent for a 3DS Mario Kart game! The ability to choose what parts you can use is what made this stand out for me! This game will always be a personal favorite of mine that I would revisit.
Mario Kart 8/ 8 Deluxe
This game holds the 3rd spot on my list of favorites. Although Mario Kart 8 Deluxe boasts an impressive array of 96 tracks, I can’t shake the feeling that it’s somewhat overrated, particularly in light of the recent release of Mario Kart World. The game shines with its robust customization options, allowing players to choose from an exciting mix of vehicles, including bikes and ATVs. I truly enjoyed the core gameplay along with the additional content provided by the Booster Course Pass DLC. However, I can't help but notice that it often garners more attention than some of the other titles in the Mario Kart series. While it undoubtedly remains an excellent game, I believe it would benefit players to venture into different Mario Kart experiences that are waiting to be discovered.'
4. Mario Kart DS
This game holds a significant place in my childhood and is arguably the most iconic Mario Kart title in my life. I continue to enjoy it to this day. The character roster was quite impressive, and discovering that E.Gadd was initially set to be a playable character before being replaced by Dry Bones piqued my interest in exploring early beta tracks and builds on YouTube, which deepened my appreciation for the game. The track selection is also noteworthy. Furthermore, the active modding community, particularly through the CTGP mod, has enhanced my experience significantly. I can confidently say that this game ranks among my top four favorites.
5. Mario Kart Arcade DX
Now you may be wondering why this is in my top 5 of my favorite Mario Kart games. Well, I actually played this at an arcade back in my young days and watched so many videos on YouTube that I actually grew to appreciate this game more and more. I learned that the Japanese version was WAY better than what we got in the international release. This stuck out to me as being a relatively unique game in the Mario Kart lineup for me. The cast of characters is pertty interesting to say the least. In the Japanese version, you actually saved your progress with a Mario Card, and it remembers what cups and karts you own. Everything is unlocked right away in the United States Version, but when you choose a track, your kart and items are decided by a roulette, which I find to be pertty annoying, but the Japanese version does allow you to pick your items and kart. What also makes the Japan version better is its slightly expanded roster of characters and the tracks, as there are two 2 cups that are not in the USA version. Gameplay-wise, it pertty much what you expected, but drifting gives you a shield that blocks most items for a single hit. And this was the first game to have the level 3 Mini Turbo before 8 Deluxe did. The Music is also pertty good, with my personal favorites being DK Jungle, Peach Castle, and Namco Circuit. Honestly, if you are going to play this game on an emulator, I highly suggest the Japan version. All in all, while not the best game for me, it is one I grew to love over time.

I'm going to say Pro racer Luigi, as he's one of the characters I use a lot. Like, a lot. Imagine if we got this format again, but with the NCP racers.

Music has been fixed! It turns out the Channel that posted the music got terminated. So I had to replace it with a different channel!
In Lakeside Park (Bad Future) on 2026-07-29 at 05:25:18I'm going to have to fix the music on this track.
