Mario Kart Arcade GP PC will be getting another update. Features include:
• Revised versions of the Donkey Kong tracks to be more faithful to their original versions
• King K. Rool as a new character to replace Robo Mario, who's too similar to Metal Mario, and besides, do we really need another Mario clone?
I will also be revising all the other courses, (except the PC-exclusive Wario and Rainbow Cups,) and might also add some new ones. They will be released whenever I feel like it.
Edit: I just realized nobody made any sprites for K. Rool. I should probably check for that BEFORE announcing a new character.

For those of you who don't already know, I'm adding a Wario Cup to Mario Kart Arcade GP PC. It will have the same layout as the tracks from Arcade GP 1 and 2, but with different names and theming. Wario Way will reuse Diamond City's map, and Diamond Dojo will use a slightly-altered version of Snow Panic's map. I'll start working on these courses soon. If anyone would like to help with decors and stuff, let me know, and I'll DM you a collab link.
Edit: Just some instructions for if you do wanna help out
Each track will have a theme. (Busy city for Wario Way, and ninjas for Diamond Dojo.) You can add whatever decors you want to help the tracks express those themes, except for obstacles on the track, as they go against the arcade formula. (Although I will allow them on B Variants, where the tracks are given gimmicks to keep them fresh.) I'll start by letting people decorate the starting area on Wario Way that both tracks share. Then I'll duplicate the course and change the map/route to create Diamond Dojo. After that, you're free to add decor to either track. Custom skyboxes are also welcome.

1How do I make CM Courses more than 9 Laps?
On 2025-05-26 at 13:30:32
This might be unrelated, but I once played a track where the number of laps was a negative decimal. (No, I don't remember the name or creator).
HOW DO YOU MAKE THOSE MARIO KART CUSTOM TRACKS IN THE SNES STYLE?
On 2024-03-02 at 16:08:24
I know there's a custom SMK track builder called Epic Edit, but I don't know if they'd be able to download them as images.

Not that anyone cares, but I probably won't be able to submit a track in time. It took me a while to come up with an idea, and neither Inkscape nor the SVG to PNG converter wanted to cooperate with me. I'll probably release it on my own time in the future, but if I rush it, it just won't have the same quality suitable for a contest like this. Good luck to everyone who is competing.
For those wondering what my plan was...
For those wondering what my plan was...
It was gonna be called Donut Drive, and was gonna be a roadtrip kinda course themed around, you guessed it, donuts. For some reason, some of the donuts made it through the converter, while two others were missed. (It might've had something to do with the mesh gradients I used for them)

I've never done great in one of these contests, but I might as well participate just for the fun of it. (But I'm gonna warn you, my tracks are a lot better when I don't feel the need to rush myself. Expect something mid at best.)
The problem with Grand Prix
On 2025-05-02 at 20:53:36
Since this topic is still alive, can somebody please give me LEGITIMATE TIPS on how to beat the Special and Mini Cups that aren't just RD and "git good"?
There aren't any tips besides that tho.
So I'm supposed to just pray for the best? 'Cause I've been playing MKPC for almost 5 years.

Anyone notice the music change?

I'm really hoping it's just an April Fools joke, 'cause the original had no much more character.
1My Zillionth Attempt at the MysteryMan Archive
On 2025-05-02 at 00:00:53
I've looked for the most unique track in each past entry, and the remaining courses in the Mushroom Cup will be 3 of these:
C64 Chilly Waters
CoCo Riverside Park
CDS Bob-Omb Battlefield (honestly, don't expect this to return)
CWii Hot Dry Dunes
NMKC Mario Bros.
Pro Enchanted Forest
SD Rocky Canyon
I know none of y'all care, but I care, so I'm gonna keep at this project just for the sake of fixing past mistakes. And if you have your favorites of what I just listed above, feel free to let me know.

The first track in the Archive is out now! If you have any recommendations for what I should add to the list, leave a comment.

For those not in the know, my Mario Kart Complete series has had a rocky history. The first 5 games were garbage, the first two entries of the reboot were okay, and the third saved it before I completely lost motivation to make any more entries.
The plan was to get back in the scene with a new Mario Kart Complete game with one track released at a time (remember Spiny Pyramid?) eventually combined into one multicup. However, with a Mario Kart World remake taking priority in the summer, and me not knowing how long it would take to get that new Mario Kart Complete game finished in time, I decided to go back to an old project to pass the time.
Mario Kart Complete: The MysteryMan Archive
This will consist of a bunch of remade tracks from the following Mario Kart Complete games:
1. Mario Kart Complete
2. Mario Kart Complete 64
3. Mario Kart Complete: Consoles Collide
4. Mario Kart Complete DS
5. Mario Kart Complete Wii
6. New Mario Kart Complete
7. New Mario Kart Complete Pro
8. New Mario Kart Complete: Super Dash
About 80% of those tracks are borderline unplayable. (That number goes way up if we remove the entire New trilogy.) That's why I wanna give them the modern remake they deserve.
The first one on this list will be my first Complete Mode track ever: Mario Circuit from MKC1. The rest will be up to you. Try to play these without losing your mind, and decide which ones would be best for the MysteryMan Archive. While I'm mostly open to your picks, try to avoid tracks that:
a. Are based on simple geometry
b. Are named after a pre-existing Mario Kart track (unless it's a circuit, Bowser's Castle, Rainbow Road, or from MKC: Consoles Collide)
c. Were recently remade in a past version of this project that was later cancelled (as seen in the Mario Kart Complete: Revival demo)
d. Have a map that's clearly not made from scratch
I'll try to take everyone's selections into consideration, but there's no guarantee it'll receive a faithful remake if I think it's beyond fixing.
(I'm also not guaranteeing it won't be cancelled like my other recent projects unfortunately. I'll try to commit though.)
You'll find all those multicups on my profile. Have fun suffering, and wish me luck as I try to fix these disasters.

Post your rainbow roads here
On 2025-05-01 at 02:38:14
This is an old one (from 2021's NMKC: Super Dash) but it's by far one of the better Rainbow Roads I've made. I think a remake with smoother turns, graphics, and more decor would do it some good. Other than that, I'm really proud of the sky aesthetic, and the music I chose.

Terrible knock-offs!
How do you make complete mode tracks?
On 2025-04-19 at 23:34:59
Paint/Paint 3D is also very accessible, but not very smooth. If you want better-looking maps but don't mind putting a bit more effort into it, I suggest using Inkscape once you have more experience. If you want textures though, I can't help you with that. But good luck with your custom tracks.
PROJECT super mario kart world
On 2025-04-19 at 13:36:03
I might be stepping down from the project. I've just been feeling so lazy this past week so I haven't gotten any more work done on Mario Bros. Circuit, and I think I'd rather just focus on original tracks than do heavy research on courses that aren't even out yet. I haven't made a final decision yet, but it's on my mind.

Here's what I have for Mario Bros. Circuit so far.

No clue when I'm gonna finish, especially since I have an original track I started working on too.

which art programme (NOT PAINT.NET CUZ I HAVE CHROMEBOOK)
Good point. I've been using Inkscape for the MBC map, but there might be a different program we're all supposed to use.

Sign me up then!
I'll start working on Mario Bros. Circuit once I'm caught up on schoolwork.

When you say "Super Mario Kart World" do you mean a simple MKPC port, or an SNES-styled version? If it's the former, I'll gladly consider creating the maps for ya.
It can be either just not low quality top down pics off the imternet
Oh, of course not. I'll make them all from scratch on Inkscape. A couple more things I wanna ask:
1. Do you want me to make just the main courses, or the roads between them too?
2. Is there a certain order you want me to create them in, or should I just do whatever track I feel like as I go?
