=== Announcement - MMGP Overhaul Update 6 ===

Hey Racers! Sorry it's been a while, but I've been working hard on a couple of things behind the scenes. On the bright side though, it has given me time to put together the biggest overhaul update yet! So let's get straight into all the new enhancements!




I'm particularly proud of Mushroom Highway RMX, which has become one of my favorite RMX Course so far. Hope you enjoy these new updates, and keep an eye out for more soon!

=== Announcement - Barrel Blast Falls ===

Hey Jet Racers!

The 11th MMGP+ Course is here; Welcome to Barrel Blast Falls!



Based on the (infamous) 2007 Wii Game Donkey Kong: Barrel Blast, you'll hover off the ground and be blasted every which way by barrel cannons as you traverse the exotic DK Jungle. Fans of the DK Country series might recognize some of the enemies dotted around the course, but don't forget to keep your eyes on the road!

=== Announcement - MMGP Overhaul Update 5 ===

Hey Racers! It's hard to believe that we're already halfway through the overhaul updates, with 16 Courses already having received major upgrades. This update is focused on the RMX Courses, with these three Courses getting completely reworked.



That's all the updates for now. In other news, I can confirm that coming up next is a brand new MMGP+ Course! But more on that later. Happy Racing!

=== Announcement - MMGP Overhaul Update 3 ===

Hey Racers! I'm very excited to reveal this next Overhaul Update, as it brings some pretty major changes to some popular tracks. Let's get right into it!



Thanks to Moo Moo Pastures, there was actually 4 Courses Included in this Update, which means that 10 MMGP Courses have gotten overhauls so far, only 22 more to go!

=== Announcement - Maw-Ray Mines ===

Hey Racers! The 10th MMGP+ has just been released. Take a dive into May-Ray Mines!



Inspired by Piranha Plant Cove, this course has you submerging into the deep dark waters of a sunken mineshaft, which has been taken over with vibrant fish life. Of course, some fish are a bit bigger then others, so keep an eye out for some dangerous looking sea creatures!

=== Announcement - MMGP Overhaul Update 2 ===

Hey Racers! I ended up finishing the second Overhaul Update way quicker then I expected, so.. here it is! Presenting MMGP Overhaul Update 2!



Each Overhaul Update will include changes for 3 Courses, as to even out the workload and balance it with MMGP+ Content. The next Update might take a bit longer, but will definitely include Candy Coast RMX. See you then!

=== Announcement - MMGP Overhaul Update 1 ===

Hey Racers! It's been over a year now since I first joined the MKTC Community and began work on MMGP, and over time I like to think I've really improved on my course design, which is another way of saying my old stuff is crap.

So I'm happy to announce that, alongside new MMGP+ Content, MMGP will now start receiving new updates! Based on your feedback, MMGP's base 32 Courses will be receiving major overhauls, the first of which is live right now!



And this is only the start of the changes, so expect a ton more of QoL updates for MMGP (Especially the RMX Courses) very soon!

=== Announcement - Bowser's Goomba Factory ===

Hey Racers! I'm back from the dead with a brand new MMGP+ Course! Strap in too, because this one is a doozy. Presenting Bowser's Goomba Factory!



This course is set inside a dark gritty Factory, where Bowser creates his Goomba Army from poor Mushrooms, before being launched out a chute into the Mushroom Kingdom. It is one of the most difficult MMGP+ Courses yet, with danger at every turn, so you better be prepared for some challenging races!

Set inside a colorful Cartoon World, Toon Trailway is full of goofy obstacles, insane intersections, and tons of callbacks and references to the golden age of Cartoons.

The 7th MMGP+ Course has been released: Welcome to Sunset Isles!

This Course is notable for its distinct artstyle, with the entire course being in watercolour! Tour a tropical isle overlooking a glorious sunset. Don’t let the course’s gentle appearance fool you though, Sunset Isles has some challenges in store for any visitors.

=== Announcement - New Course (Tomorrow!) ===

Good evening racers!

It's been a good while since I created content for MKPC, but I'm happy to announce that a NEW MMGP+ Course will finally be arriving within the next 24 hours! I'll even reveal some details early to reward your patience:



This new course will be ready sometime today, as there are just a few more tweaks needed before it can be uploaded. I'll be back again once the course is live. See you then!

=== Announcement - Hiatus ===

Hey racers! Sorry I haven’t been active as of late. I’ve been really busy so I had to put MKPC and MMGP+ on the back burner for a while.

However, I’m happy to announce that I haven’t abandoned the project, and even better, you can expect a new MMGP+ course sometime in the next couple of days.

=== Announcement - Beta_Course ===

It's actually kind of fitting I was discussing MMGP's Beta phase yesterday, because that's what the next MMGP+ course is based on: Welcome to Beta_Course!



This track is set in a standard Mario Kart Test Course, taking inspiration from Mario Kart DS' famous Beta Courses, including Test Circle and Dokan Course, which both make major appearances.

=== MMGP Behind the Scenes - Beta Late then never ===

It's been a while since I did a BTS post, but it's an interesting one today: We're going to be having a look at MMGP's original course order!



This Course list, which I but together right before releasing Shy Guy Creek in April, has a good few changes from the final list:

• Sarasaland Speedway and Mini-Land were once in each other's spots, even at one point both being planned for the Heart Cup!

• I hadn't done any work on Mount Sherbet, Sandstorm Dunes, or Mushroom Highway, so at this time they didn't yet have proper names.

• Mount Sherbet and Cloudshroud Kingdom (Initially called Cloudshroud Skyways) were originally planned for the Grand Star Cup, but eventually swapped Cups with Sandstorm Dunes and Mushroom Highway, originally in the Hammer Cup.

• The Last Resort was also planned to be the closer for the Hammer Cup, as it was the closest thing the Cup had to a sectional course. Despite calling it "THE Last Resort" here, the name at the time was still only "Last Resort"

• Finally, and most interesting of all, is Koopa Beach, MMGP's only scrapped course. This course was going to be set on a Beachside Town, where you drive through a surf shack onto the water, where you trick off Surfboards and floaties. However, the Coast theme was too similar to Candy Coast, so it was scrapped in favor of Moo Moo Pastures.

As for the RMX Cups, their order was always pretty much the same: The only exceptions being that The Last Resort RMX and Yoshi Isle RMX were originally swapped around in the Crossover Cup, and the Adventurer Cup was originally called the "Tropic Cup".  

I won't lie, it's fun to look back and see all the planning and thought I put into the smaller things like the course order. Speaking of fun, I can't wait to do the next BTS post, since I have a folder full of moments I messed up while working on MMGP

=== Announcement - Koopapalooza and Roster Expansion! ===

Hello Racers! There's a lot to discuss today so let's not waste any time. Hot off the heels of a new MKPC update comes a new MMGP+ Course: Koopapalooza!



This course is set during the Mushroom Kingdom's most hardcore music festival. With live performances, dazzling lights, and even a spot for you to pull off a crowdsurf!

As if it wasn't already exciting enough, MMGP is also getting a Roster Expansion! Yes, thank to the amazing work of Wargor and yoshman29, Multicups can now have up to 120 characters, so now MMGP is getting more characters!

Firstly, the 4 Base MKPC characters that were initially excluded from MMGP have made their way into the roster:

• Funky Kong
• Dry Bowser
• Hammer Bro
• Link

In addition, the 4 Koopa Shells are now also displayed on the Character Roster, alongside the other 4 Unlockable characters that were already included. Finally, I can confirm that the MMGP+ expansion will introduce at least another 4 Drivers to the roster! Exciting stuff!

It's that time again, another MMGP+ course has hit the scene: Welcome to Blooper Inc!



This track is set in a bustling office, ran by a team of hardworking Bloopers! Race around the cubicles as you avoid the Toad employees on their wheely chairs, crash a Goomba board meeting, barge into the Blooper CEO's office and get shipped down to the mail room in this surprisingly fast-paced course.
