=== Announcement - New Courses, Cups and Characters! ===

Good evening MKPC-ers!

So for about a month now I've been taking a break from making new courses to catch up on the previous courses' Challenges and RMX variants. Well, with Shy Guy RMX uploaded a few days ago, and most of the challenges sent for moderation, its time to get back to the real exciting stuff!

And what better way to kick off the final half of MMGP then with a new course, cup, and driver? Firstly, MMGP's opening course, Mario Circuit, is finally here! We'll dive more into the course during its own showcase. But you can play it and its RMX variant right now!

And with the release of Mario Circuit RMX comes another surprise: a new RMX Cup! The Metro Cup is the first of the RMX Cups, featuring the RMX variants of MMGP's circuit and vehicle-based courses:

• Mushroom Highway RMX
• Waluigi Stadium RMX
• Maken Moozac Circuit RMX



And with another RMX Cup, comes another elusive Koopa Shell Character! You can unlock a new MMGP driver by beating the Metro Cup Champion challenge, in which you must get a perfect GP score of 40 Points while constantly accelerating! The challenge should be available shortly.

=== Course Showcase - Shy Guy Creek ===

Shy Guy Creek is the third course in the Cloud Cup, and is a spiritual successor to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Shy Guy Falls and Wild Woods. It is set by a vibrant creek deep within Shy Guy Woods, teeming with wildlife and natural beauty.

Race around flowers, trees and hedges, all while trying not to disturb the local wildlife, which includes Monty Moles, Piranha Plants, and Cheep Cheeps!



After navigating the course's rougher terrain, you must take a ride down a river to get back to the starting line. The river current will either work with or against you depending on your direction, but good strategic planning will ensure you don't end up crashing into the river banks.

Now it wouldn't be Shy Guy Creek without some Shy Guys, which is why you'll be able to spot the local Shy Guy population cheering you on as the race continues.

Personally, this course is one of my favorites in terms of shortcuts, as the large grass patches scattered around the creek can lead to some incredible shroom-cuts. I'll leave you guys to find them yourselves!

=== Course Showcase - Waluigi Stadium ===

all the best things in life have a little touch of waluigi



Like the iconic GCN track this course is based on, Waluigi Stadium is an action-packed, muddy arena stuffed to the brim with ramps, fire, piranha plants, and waluigi-ness.

Not convinced? Well, parts of the Skybox are ripped directly from the GCN original, and what is more Waluigi then cheesing your way to the top!



In fact, this course literally has Waluigi written all over it, with a "W" shaped intersection near the end. Will you continue down the simple but fiery road, or take a turn around a fast but tight detour?

However, the strategy doesn't end there, as Waluigi Stadium is filled with endless shortcut possibility with its abundance of muddy offroad. Just be sure to bring some mushrooms, or you'll end up behind in the dirt.

=== Course Showcase - Mushroom Highway ===

just one more lane bro



Mushroom Highway is the 2nd Course of MMGP's final main cup, the Grand Star Cup. This course's setting is centered around a massive bypass that launches racers from one side of the city to the next. Be sure to look before you merge though, as you're not the only passenger on the road!



Fast reactions are the key to dominating this track. You need to get off the Highway before you miss your Exit, or else you'll have to face the horrors of an (off-screen) cloverleaf intersection! But that's not all: The inner city is poorly lit, so you'll need to take care when driving around the city's docks and construction sites.



Finally, Goomba jaywalkers are scattered all over the streets, and a vehicular manslaughter charge is the LAST thing you need right now..

In addition, Mushroom Highway RMX was just released moments ago. Now, this RMX Course is extremely difficult, so proceed with caution!

=== Course Showcase - Sarasaland Speedway ===

Today's Course Showcase is on Sarasaland Speedway, the first course of the Cloud Cup and one of the earliest tracks designed for MMGP.



This Course has quite the history. Starting off as a standard Mario Circuit in Quick Mode, before being remade in Complete Mode, and finally being transformed into the final version seen today!

Sarasaland Speedway is set on a regular racetrack in the deserts of Sarasaland, the home of Princess Daisy and the setting of the 1989 game Super Mario Land. As such, the course includes several references to the game: Backgrounds, Music, even the Goombas are replaced with SML's Goombos!



While it is one of the more simpler MMGP Courses, it still packs a few punches. Most notably, the second route shortcut allows you to nab a double item box and a speed boost, but you have to pull off a well-timed trick to reach it!

Fun Fact: The Inspiration for Sarasaland Speedway came from Mario Kart Tour Datamines, where it is theorized a new course based on Sarasaland could possibly exist!

=== Announcement - The Last Resort RMX and the return of the Crossover Cup! ===

Yep, you read that right. The Last Resort RMX has just been uploaded. Play it here:

Once more, this means that The Crossover Cup is now able to make its grand return, as the first Bonus Cup of MMGP!

The Crossover Cup will be the 3rd of the 4 Bonus Cups, and the 7th Overall. It consists of the RMX Variants of the 4 MMGP Courses based on other spin-offs/games. These being:

• Sarasaland Speedway RMX
• Mini-Land RMX
• Yoshi Isle RMX
• The Last Resort RMX



And of course, there will be a special challenge arriving in the coming days: The Crossover Cup Champion Challenge! To win, the Player must earn a Perfect Score of 40 Points in the Grand Prix, while dealing with Inverted Controls.

If you complete the Challenge, you'll nab one of the 4 elusive Koopa Shell Drivers. Best of Luck Racers!

=== Announcement - New RMXs, Redesigns, and Challenges ===

Good afternoon racers!

So its been a while since I've given a proper update, and I have a lot of News to share, so let's do it rapidfire:

• I'm taking a short break from uploading new Courses to finish the older ones. This includes creating Challenges, RMX Variants, and improving quality overall.

• Candy Coast had a rough week when I accidentally deleted the original copy while working on Candy Coast RMX. Thankfully I had a duplicate handy and the Course's layout was saved, but unfortunately not the Comments or Ratings. womp womp

• Speaking of Candy Coast RMX, it's available to play now! In addition, the Base Course has also received a makeover:

• Miniland has gotten a glow-up too, with Yoshi Isle, The Last Resort, and Maken Moozac Circuit also due to get a few graphical enhancements.



• Finally, expect so see a lot more Challenges pop up over the coming days. For MMGP, each base Course is going to have 3 Challenges each, plus two special challenges, for a grand total of 50!

=== Course Showcase - Candy Coast ===

♪ yummy yummy yummy I got love in my tummy and I feel like a-loving you ♪



The Heart Cup is the first Cup of MMGP, and it ends with quite a treat, so save some room for desert with Candy Coast! This Course has you traverse a sugary wonderland, filled with a plethora of sweet treats from the Mario Universe.



Landmarks of note include a handful of Yoshi's Cookies, Princess Peach's Cake from Super Mario 64, and even some Mario-themed Chocolate bars from the real world!



But don't let the sweet exterior fool you. Despite being a Heart Cup Course, Candy Coast still packs a few challenges, with split paths and bouncing jellies. Not to mention a giant, wavy, Piranha Plant Gummy!



Candy Coast is available to play now, and for those of you looking for an extra challenge, its RMX Variant shouldn't be much longer in the oven...

Oh, and here's a fun fact about Candy Coast: It was originally planned as a Course based on the Honeyhive Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy. What gives it away is that the Course layout for Candy Coast bares a striking resemblance to a bird's eye view of Honeyhive's main planet!

=== Announcement - RMX Cups and Courses ===

Good Afternoon!

So as some of you may know, alongside the 4 main Cups for MMGP (Heart, Cloud, Hammer, Grand Star) I originally planned an 4 Extra Cups, which would've been the same 16 Tracks but in a remixed order. So far, only one of these Cups had been released: The Crossover Cup.

However, the more I thought about it, the more I realized that this idea was REALLY dumb. I mean it was literally just the same 16 Courses played in a different order LMAO

With that in mind, I have decided to revamp this idea into something a lot more interesting. So without further ado, let me introduce RMX Courses!



RMX Courses are altered versions of the base 16 Courses with completely re-imagined routes. They're designed to be much more challenging then their standard counterparts, with tricky turns and all new obstacles.

The first of these RMX Courses, Sarasaland Speedway RMX and Yoshi Isle RMX have just been uploaded and are ready for racers!

Its not just the courses getting changes though, as the RMX Cups are in on the action too! The RMX Cup Champion Challenges, played to unlock the Koopa Shells, will each be given an extra win condition, on top of their base criteria of a perfect 40-point Score, to give players an additional layer of Challenge.

The currently-playable Crossover Cup will be replaced with its RMX Counterpart very soon. So stay tuned!

=== Course Showcase - Maken Moozac Circuit ===

wow, this "Maken Moozac" guy must have a pretty inflated ego



Maken Moozac Circuit is the first track of MMGP's Hammer Cup, set on a bustling Raceway surrounded by the sea. The course takes inspiration from GCN Yoshi Circuit, with the outline of the Course being the Logo of yours truly!



Being the opener for the penultimate Cup, this Course hurls quite a few challenges at the player. Throughout the track, you'll encounter several different obstacles, including Goombas, Piranha Plants, and oncoming traffic.

But enemies aren't your only concern here, as the middle of the Course features a tight intersection, which could cost you the race if you aren't paying close attention to the coloured signs!



And while it's not a very open Course, there are still a few chances for some shortcuts; You may notice some patches of grass that are lighter then the others. Boost through these to gain the advantage!

=== Announcement: Shy Guy Creek, Cloud Cup, and a New Driver! ===

Its been a very busy last few days for the MMGP, so lets get into it!

Firstly, a new course Shy Guy Creek is now available to play. Race around the relaxing rapids of Shy Guy forest, weaving through the local wildlife and majestic forestry.

=== Announcement: Waluigi Stadium and Course Lineup Reveal ===

Lots of awesome news today! First of all, the 8th MMGP Course has been released: Waluigi Stadium! Not to be confused with the GCN Track of the same name, Waluigi Stadium is a reimagining of the classic Stadium course theme.

=== Announcement - Koopa Shell Redesigns ===

Yep, that's right. The four Koopa Shell drivers have gotten an overhaul!



Their designs are a lot more clean and glossy, not to mention their new Mini-Map designs are a bit of a troll lol

As mentioned before, each Koopa Shell will be unlockable in one of four Bonus Cups in MMPG, Cups with that rearrange the standard 16-Track order for a unique challenge. As of now, only one Bonus cup is available: The Crossover Cup. Play it here now and win Gold to unlock a new driver!

=== Course Showcase - Mini-Land ===

Today's Showcase is all about Mini-Land, an iconic theme park full of Minis and Mayhem!



Based on the Mario VS. Donkey Kong series, Mini-Land has you racing around the titular Theme Park from the DS Game Mario VS. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem, riding through several of the park's wild attractions.



The course is built of the different attractions from the DS Game. In fact, most course elements are pulled directly from the game itself; The red girders of Coaster Hills, Jumpy Jungle's bounciest springs, the conveyors of Teatime Twirl, the pipes from Warped Mansion, and Cannon Cove's finest launchers.



Personally, there's one aspect of this track I like in particular: the Shortcuts. Nearly every attraction has a Shortcut tucked away that can help you take home the gold! (One of which I must say is incredibly broken lmao)

=== Announcement - Yoshi Isle overhaul and Battle Arena ===

Happy almost-easter! To celebrate, I'm excited to announce that Yoshi Isle has gotten the Star Treatment, with a brand new redesign!



Its design is now much more faithful to the original Yoshi's Island game, with generic decors like sidesteppers and snowpeople being replaced with enemies from the original game.

Happy Yoshi Tour everybody! What better way to celebrate peak fiction then with a look at the MMGP track based on the best character of all time: Yoshi Isle!



This track is a lovechild between Mario Kart's two Yoshi Island-based tracks: GCN Baby Park and Yoshi's Island. This course takes the enclosed tightly-packed insanity of Baby Park, and throws it behind a Yoshipilled backdrop. (Yes I just said Yoshipilled)



With 2 sets of crossroads and only a few turns between them, racers will be facing head-on collisions with each other and an barrage of items as they navigate the Island.



You can play on Yoshi Isle now by itself, or as part of the new Crossover Cup, which features 3 other courses from different Mario Games/Spinoffs:

=== Announcement: New Drivers, Challenges and Updates! ===

Big news today, as I'm unveiling a new batch of playable characters in MMGP: Koopa Shells!



Based on their appearance in New Super Mario Bros. DS, the Koopa Shells come in four colours, each unlockable through achieving a perfect score in each of the the four Bonus Cups, one of which being the newly released Crossover Cup, which you can complete now:

In other news, the 6 pre-existing tracks are currently being updated with QOL improvements and new challenges, with each MMGP track set to have 3 each. As for the QOL, expect the tracks to get visual upgrades, cool animations, and more liveliness in the coming days. That's all for now!

Hey everybody, today's announcement is pretty special, since not only do I have a new track to reveal, but also MMGP's first cup too!

First things first, we're talking about the new MMGP track: Miniland!



Based on the Mario VS. Donkey Kong series (More specifically Miniland Mayhem), Miniland has you racing through the titular themepark, facing obstacles, mechanics, and enemies from the game series, and you can play it here now:

But we'll talk more on Miniland later on, lets turn our attention to the NEW Crossover Cup!

As the name suggests, the Crossover Cup will feature all the MMGP Courses based on certain Mario Games/Spinoffs, the lineup for which includes:

We haven't discussed most of these courses yet, but rest assured they're all going to get their own Spotlight soon. Also, MMGP already has a planned track/cup order. So this Cup won't probably won't have much significance in the overall Multicup, just a fun side bonus.

One last note, Miniland was the last of a batch of 6 Courses I was working on, so this means there might not be any new tracks for a while. However, you can expect updates and new challenges for the pre-existing courses, so be sure to keep an eye out. And if you have any ideas for improving the tracks, please let me know.
