Time to share some more Decors, Yippee!! This time, from my latest course Mari-O Mart, set in a bustling Supermarket.

Firstly, are some Shoppers! These Decors are meant for the Bullet Bill and Bus respectively. I've played around with how these Decors work to create animated, moving enemies that always face the player:




Next up are some enemies based on foods: Like this Grape Fire Piranha

This is just a standard "Goomba Machine" Decor. wtf is a Goomba Machine? I have no clue.

I don't really hate any of the courses, but some of the SNES and DS tracks feel way too scaled down, SNES GV3 and DS Rainbow Road in particular

although I do absolutely suck at gp lmao

I recommend you start with small, simple tracks and work your way up. Creating Custom Courses, like any artform, is a skill you get better at the more you do it!

Another tip is to always test your course layouts before you start adding details. Draw out the path of the track as a simple line, and then use that as a test. Because the design is simple, you can alter it easily and reupload the image to keep testing it. This way, you can see if your track is the right size and is fun to play without having to worry about all the details.

Once you're happy with your test design, you can start adding all the visual details and extra stuff!

Funnily enough, I'm actually well involved in the Mario Kart Tour Datamining Scene, and for the better part of a year we've been able to predict new Courses and Tours based on special IDs that are assigned to each Course in the files, and so far nearly all of our predictions have been correct.

We call it "ID Theory" and if interests anyone here, this sheet has basically everything you need to know, in addition to links to other useful stuff:

Now while this sheet is mainly speculation, we do have a high accuracy rate, so it probably contains spoilers for future Mario Kart Tour content, so proceed with caution if you don't want anything spoiled.

For example, ID Theory indicated to us months ago that the next Tour could possibly be

The Quick Mode Track Builder has a lot of restrictions and limitations, which includes not being able to place whatever items/obstacles you want (You can only place Mario Circuit obstacles on Mario Circuits, etc.)

The only solution would be to use Complete Mode, which does require more work as you need to manually input everything (CPU Routes, Walls, etc.) but it will give you a lot more creative freedom, including placing down obstacles from any course you want.

Now, Complete Mode requires a picture of the course you want to make, which you can draw yourself, but a trick many use is making the outline of the course in Quick Mode, screenshotting it, and then putting using that as the photo. hope this helped.
