So recently the mods and I have noticed some pretty bad forum trends: message grinding and random topics nobody really knows/cares about. We've also had to delete quite a few because they were either just plain dumb, had conversions unrelated to the topic or it was the same 2-3 people just messaging each other. We decided to bring this back because we'd rather this stuff be in one place rather than just everywhere, i.e. organised spam as opposed to cluttered spam.
Obviously the "anything" part doesn't mean everything and you still have to follow the rules. Your posts here have to make sense because I dont wanna see random gibberish, so anyone who uses the "this is space for ANYTHING" card is gonna get a warn, non negotiable. (so don't just post a single letter/emoji or bash your keyboard etc.)

Y'all weren't really ACTIVELY message farming but you did partake in a topic named "Turn the replies into a school fight" which is definitely useless, immature and once again, turns attention away from actually interesting topics about the game, or Mario Kart games, etc.
I personnally disagree, I think the forum isn't like a groupchat, but whatever, I can't convince you, you think the same thing since 2023, I'm assuming it won't change
Besides the topic here is dumb af lol and it's not like it's something we haven't addressed before, this forum needs to be more about the game that is attached to it rather than some random stuff like that
mods think you are posting low-effort content just to increase your message count and rank (which as of now no one except them can see lol) for bragging rights apparently. from your recent messages i can see that only like 1 message couldve been replaced with a reaction (unless you posted in a deleted topic) so clearly this is a false warning, mods are super triggerhappy with 'message farming' so just appeal in their dms. they constantly think people are spamming the forums, they forget that in a casual forum people are going to type 'fr' or 'true' instead of clicking a button sometimes

Y'all are used to a particular type of Bowser Castle: lava, pillars, firebars, a Bowser statue somewhere and Thwomps. There have been different executions of this base, making each of the renditions interesting. However today, I am here with a completely different type of Bowser Castle. The track itself is Bowser Castle 2 by @KerNL. You start the track out in front of a castle which you wil enter. Watch out as enemies crush to the ground. After that, you will get to the outside part of the castle, in which you will have to avoid wrecking balls in the air and on the floor! Shortly after, use a half-pipe to get to the other side of the road! Then, enter a room that fills up with pink fireballs every lap around a Bowser statue floating above the void. If you're playing in VS, try your best in the ending stretch to gain as much ranks as you can by using speed items in the offroad if you have some.
I chose to showcase this track today as it truly strays away from what you would expect from a regular Bowser Castle track, not only by its very unique color scheme, that is much darker, and leads more towards black, dark grey and purple than light grey, red, brown and orange, but also by its gameplay, its unique enemies, and its gimmicks. The track constantly keeps you hooked. It also has a great replay value. Hope you have fun on it!

Hello again everyone! I'm here today for my second showcase, which is GBA Rainbow Road by @TheNudgyHampter. Indeed, I believe the track went rather unnoticed, as it only has 12 views and 3 comments, most of the views being from people who discovered it while playing CTGP-PC BG. This track is a remake of a track most of y'all have already played from the base game, however I believe this version is much more interesting. You see, the base game track couldn't have jumps because it completely fucked up with the checkpoints... but that took all the essence of the original track away. So today, I'm here with a version of GBA Rainbow Road that does have jumps but also plays well! They aren't bordering the entire track like they are on the original version, but many of them are still present, allowing you to take shortcuts by jumping over the void!
I decided to showcase this track for its familiarity and its gimmick but also for its visuals. I believe they are of really good quality. I hope you all will have as much fun on this track as I did

Many of the more experienced players want newer players to play the game more, whether it's TT, online mode, lounges or track creation. The thing is, I believe that in the current state of things, the forum is way more pushed on the home page as it is quite literally the first thing you see. Besides that, the base game tracks can be pretty hard to drive on, as they are quite thin, and in my opinion can get quite boring after some time (no offense obviously).
As a solution to that, I have decided to create this topic. How will things work?
Simple, every once in a while (probably not every day cause I'm a high schooler and have other passions than MKPC), I'll send a custom track that I find particularly good and give you guys reasons to play the track. This will allow you guys to discover custom tracks that you can have fun on, and maybe even inspire you to make your own!

Today, I'm kicking off things with a rather simple-to-understand and easily sight-readable track, Toad Town, made by Nodac64. It is pretty popular and part of CTGP-PC But Good, with 23 vews and an high average of 4.83/5. It's a fun, bright, colorful track that takes you inside a town populated by Toads, and around said town. Drive through little houses, then into a cave, and jump over bridges! Be careful not to fall down, or you'll have to drive back to the place you jumped from. Not the second time though, there's an invisible jump to allow you to keep going on.
I hope you'll have a lot of fun playing this track, it's quite easy to drive on and very lively visually. There are also some shortcuts which I'm hoping you will find!

Just kidding, but close enough. For those unfamiliar with my fanfics, it's simple. I make a certain amount of people join; in this case, 15, and once I have gathered their personality, color and name (+ pronouns preferably), I write the episodes.

- I will not accept any user under the age of 13 as it implies obvious death, blood, violence, and potentially graphic depictions of corpses. It's a no-brainer that this fanfic isn't suited to everyone here; I strongly advise users under 13 not to read it and forbid them to partake.
- If you are comfortable with everything quoted above, you can join. You need to give me some info about yourself, or you can make up a persona. The required info includes, once again, your name, the color you wish to use, your talent, and your personality. Everyone is human and has no specific abilities; just talents.
- Your talent is something that you're particularly good at. It can be an actual talent of yours or it can be made up. DO NOT BE RIDICULOUS: Some things are not talents, and some other things cannot be used. Ultimate Waffle Eater is NOT a talent; and things like Ultimate Bird that allow you to fly or give you certain magical powers are forbidden as well.
With all that being said, I'm gonna let you guys join. APPLICATIONS WILL CLOSE ONCE THERE ARE 15 PEOPLE. (THE TOTAL IS 16 INCLUDING MYSELF.) THERE IS NO NEED TO NEGOTIATE TO ENTER ONCE EVERYTHING IS CLOSED.
