This is more of a backstory but in my first days of MKPC, I didn't interact with the forum or even the home page at all. I really just played the game, kept TTing, trying to beat all the cups etc. As for how it looked, it has the old hud like the item box has a square shape compared to now which has the more SMK style and some more things about it like background, placement counter, timer etc. As for the activity of MKPC, I don't really know since I don't interact with the home page and very little on the forums.

1. You press the space button to use your items and V button to throw the items forward. You can't throw stars, megas, bullet bills and mushrooms. If you meant something else then let me know.
2. They are made fast so you can get better at the game so keep training and you'll get better at the game.
3. I don't know but I think it's a good thing plus you can cut corners unlike the walls in GBA Bowser Castle courses.

When I joined MKPC in mid-2019, there was no orange drift, you could snake with any character, and there were no DS tracks. I have looked deep into the forum and found out that MKPC once didn't have GBA tracks either.

When I joined MKPC on my first account in early-mid 2020, the game didn't have the Super Mario Kart style UI, they were no triple items, no poison mushroom, blooper, etc., the duration of the Star/Mega Mushroom was a bit shorter, they were no DS battle maps, and there was no delay on the Spiny Shell before hitting you if I remember well.

Same here for all of these but there was blooper before I think and the blue shell would just directly go on you instead of following the path plus you couldn't dodge with a mushroom/boost panel at all plus there was a speed strip glitch where sometimes the boost panel doesn't count due to skipping frames.

I remember I started playing the game around january 2019. (not on this account.) There wasn't SMK Ui,No DS Tracks, No Poison Mushrooms, or Custom Item Distribution / CC's. I remember I played the game a bit for like a week but then found out you can make custom courses and kept playing.

Remember when ds battle maps didn’t exist? Yeah that was life back when I first joined this site back in Dec 2020.
