I was a stupid kid back then.
And I still am now.
But anyways, the story begins with me starting the game. I chose Male, because I ain't no goil. For my starter, I had chosen Treeko, because 1. I like Green and 2. The other 2 didn't look appealing to me at the time. Yeah, young me actually thought Mudkip looked a little ugly. I don't think it's ugly now, but younger me thought it just looked weird. Anyways, I actually caught pretty much every Pokémon I saw once I got Pokeballs. I wanted to, y'know, catch 'em all. Fast forwarding a bit later, when I first saw Latias, I though they were male, so I called them Red. Even though there was a big Female symbol there, for quite a while I though Latias was male. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I nicknamed my Treeko Buddy, because I knew that over the course of the game, he would be my buddy. I did the thing in my playthrough that almost all of you probably did too: only have your Pokémon learn attacking moves. In addition, instead of having a dedicated HM Slave, basically ALL of my Pokémon were HM Slaves. I actually basically only had a team of 4: Buddy the Sceptile, Red the Latias, Ziggyzag the Linenoone, and Pika the Pikachu. Sceptile had Strength and Rock Smash, Latias had Fly, Waterfall, AND Dive, and Linenoone had Cut and Surf. So basically, my Pokémon had less than 4 moves each. If you're wondering what the remaining 2 slots were for, I mainly used them for breeding and egg hatching. I actually ended up beating the Elite 4 while I was running around trying to hatch a Pidgey egg, so I have a random Pidgeot in the Hall of Fame. Oh yeah, speaking of that, I had overleveled myself to the moon and back before I took on the Elite 4. How much overleveling? Well, my Sceptile was Level 100. Enough said. Speaking of Sceptile, the 2 moves that it had other than HM moves were Leaf Storm...and Grass Knot. I thought the moves was really good back then, because it 1-4 shot every Pokémon I used it on. ...however, that was probably just because 1.I was overleveled and 2. all the late-game Pokémon were really heavy. The 1 Non-HM Move my Latias had was Dragon Pulse. Why not Draco Meteor? Well, 1. Lower Accuracy and 2.  it lowered Special Attack, so as Latias's only move, I think Dragon Pulse is better  in that situation. My Linenoone had Ice Beam and Retaliate, which isn't too bad, and my Pikachu had literally all Electric type moves. Moving on to more of my stupidity, I had killed every legendary I found on those Islands you can get to with the Eon Flute, thinking they would respawn. Poor, poor me. I did manage to catch Lugia in the Post-Game, and I named it "WOOOOOOOOOOO", quoting myself from after catching the dang thing. Now it's pretty much the 6th party member. Now, you may be asking, "Who's the 5th?". Well, the answer it Growlithe. Now you may be saying, "But Growlithe isn't in Hoenn!", and to that I say: Yes and No. There are hidden Pokémon in ORAS that you can find that aren't normally in Hoenn. For example, you can find Zorua on the first Route. The reason I didn't get Growlithe before was because to spawn him, for heck knows why, you have to open up the Poke-Searcher thing in the cave where you find Kyogre/Groudon, then go to the top of Mount Pyre, and then Growlithe can be found there.

That's about all I wanted to say about me sucking at Pokémon. What was your first Pokémon playthrough like?

Edit: I found my copy of AS, and checked the natures...short answer, ouch.
Edit 2: I updated some of the movesets recently. I put the updates in Parenthesis.

Buddy (Sceptile)
Ability: Overgrow
Leaf Storm (Energy Ball)
Rock Smash (Focus Blast)
Grass Knot (Earthquake)
Strength (Swords Dance)

Characteristic: Hates to Lose
Hidden Power: Fighting

Red (Latias)
Ability: Levitate
Dive
Waterfall
Fly
Dragon Pulse
Nature: Timid (+Spd, -A) Wouldn't be bad normally, but with my moveset...ouchies.
Characteristic: Alert to sounds.
Hidden Power: Dark

Ziggyzag (Linoone)
Ability: Gluttony
Cut
Surf
Shadow Claw
Ice Beam
Nature: Bashful (Neutral Nature)
Characteristic: Alert to sounds
Hidden Power: Grass

Pika (Pikachu)
Ability: Static
Thunderbolt
Flash (Brick Break)
Charge Beam (Toxic)
Thunder
Nature: Sassy (+SpD, -Spd) Could've been worse.
Characteristic: Takes plenty of siestas
Hidden Power: Poison

Growlie (Growlithe)
Ability: Intimidate
Flamethrower
Flare Blitz
Aerial Ace
Dig
Nature: Quirky (Neutral Nature) Of course the dog is Quirky.
Characteristic: Strongly Defiant
Hidden Power: Ground

WOOOOOOOOOOO (Lugia)
Ability: Pressure
Rain Dance (Rock Smash)
Hydro Pump
Aeroblast
Punishment
Nature: Timid (+Spd, -A) A Legendary Pokemon is Timid. Noice.
Characteristic: Alert to sounds (Ok this thing is just a copy of Red)
Hidden Power: Ghost

Also, I met Buddy on 12/28/2015.

Well the first pokemon I played was Ruby when I had my GBA. I chose Torchic because I liked it, by the way I put  lunch of nickname xD. I remember the first pokemon I caught was Ralts as i wanted a Gardevoir, later I caught a Skitty because I like cats (although I hardly used it), I caught a whismur and a pochyena.
when i saw that my torchic was level 15 i thought i should face the gym leader but i made the first mistake of any pokemon noob player:
Torchic - Lv 15
Skitty - Lv 6
Pochyenna - Lv 7
Ralts - Lv 6
Whismur - Lv 8
So after losing twice against the leader I decided to train more until Torchic and Whismur evolved and you can be sure that I kicked the leader's ass xD

Well let's go ahead with all the filling of how I passed the other towns and we get to the part where I was trapped in the Calagua city bc Idk what to do xD

Well, I did catch several pokemon that caught my attention such as tropius, manectric, solrock, lunatone, marril, zangoose, geodude, abra, tailow, minum, pluze, pikachu ...... etc; but after a week without knowing what to do, I think it was because I went to mount pirico bc I wanted a vulpix to evolve it to ninetales and by chance I also faced the aqua team and then I saw that the wailmer took off and me be like YAY!!!!!.
Well also something I did without hesitation twice was to catch groudon, latios, latias, deoxys, jirachi since I thought that because they were legendary pokemon they were the most powerful xD
in the end I ended up passing the victory cave and defeating the league without them xD
After that I focused on completing the pokedex.
later I started playing other GBA and GBC pokemon.

Well yes, pokemon is one of my favorite games even though the battles are not like in the series xD

Ah yeah, obviously I had gardevoir, blaziken, pikachu (I didn't want to evolve it to raichu), azumarill, Golem and Altaria. Well obviously, everyone had an MO and everyone had pure attack movements (ecept gardevoir who had teleport)

My first Pokemon Adventure was in Pokemon SoulSilver.

For starter , I have choosen Cyndaquil (fire types ,  typical choices ^^) , and then , because I was a stupid kid (I think we were ALL stupid) , I caught TWO Rattata and one Ledyba . First arena was easy , Cyndaquil just spammed Ember and won . Same for the second . After went through a f***ing cave infested of Geodudes , I caught a Mareep (this mon'll become one of my favorite ones) . Then , ....brr don't want to talk about it just see this...aie

I WAS VERY SALTY FOR WHITNEY AND HER (sry for the word)
Spoiler [ShowHide]
BULLSHIT
, AND TODAY IM STILL SALTY >:/

...

Next the the four following gyms were VERY e-z , my Pokemons evolved and everything was okay ... do you know the famous Red Gyarados ? This legend , the Shiny Pokemon the easier to find...As a stupid kid , I was thinking it's a glitch and I OHKO it with Thunderbolt  .
Still today , I hate me .

...

The Last Johto Arena was hard , but nice . Elite Four Members were not very difficult , but when I met the Champion...:s (Again bcz I was a stupid kid , I didn't buy repels , or potions...)

So i might as well say that I was VERY happy to finish the game.

hahaha...good flashbacks...:D

This week , I want to beat RED , the Secret Final Boss (yes I didn't beat it bcz too lazy) , so say me good luck plz .

I just remember that Gliscor isn't available in SoulSilver , only in HeartGold facepalm

I wasn't that bad when I got my first Pokémon game, actually. My first was gen 4 but I didn't play much and idk which one, so let's go with the one I played properly - Alpha Sapphire.

Chose Torchic my first time because I was a Blaziken fan. However, it made Roxanne such a pain. One Rock Tomb and my main Pokémon was down. Luckily I was dumb and forgot to save, so all the times I lost to her were gone.

Restarted the game, picked Treecko instead and wiped out Roxanne's entire team; I was very happy with myself then :). I remember having a Zigzagoon and Taillow throughout the whole game, got a Lotad as my HM slave (however I didn't know how to evolve it so I was stuck with a Lombre for the whole game instead of a Ludicolo, big mistake), and a Machop/Machoke. Then I picked up my free Latias and my team was all set from there.

Gym Leaders were really easy tbh, I beat them all first try other than Wattson, who I lost to once. I know I should've picked Mudkip for this but I don't care.

Elite Four however...well I was stupid there. I didn't know that you could heal inbetween the 2 fights, so I got most of my team annihilated by the first battle and prayed I got past Phoebe, that's it. So sadly I never got to fight Steven on my save file, but I played with a friend who let me take him down.

Oh and I lost to Archie for the exact same reason.

So tl;dr I didn't finish a Pokémon game until Sun came out, and that was a lot harder.

Yes, planning on doing a Pokémon Y Nuzlocke challenge once I get the game.
