Now time to talk about glitches. theres a glitch where the name of CPU character becomes "Deleted Characer." even though the character isnt deleted. wierd.

Spinning glitch: If you press the down key while spinning, your kart will go forwards. This is because the game expects you to already spin backwards so it reverses the spinning.
i already knew about that glitch, but its a nice glitch! you can recover from blue shells and bombs!

Honestly, it's not as much of a glitch as it is an exploit. The game is programmed to push you in the opposite direction to what key you're pressing (this is because it was assumed the players would keep holding forward). So if you press down, the kart slides forward. However, it also works slightly for every other item, but due to acceleration time, the hitstun is way too little for it to affect your position in any way.

Also, someone mentioned this already, but if multiple players join a race at exactly the same time (and I mean almost frame perfect) it's possible to have more than 8 players in a room, provided there were enough players in there before the glitch occurred.
