Prove to me that the Wii U is a good console!

This might get heated, or not… Who knows!? All I know is that I have remained the undefeated champion of proving to people that the Wii U is MID.

Is that a good thing to be proud of? I have NO clue

Atleast it is better than the Switch 1.
People say wii sports club is worse than Switch sports when it is not.

Prove to me it is not.

Sure, the Switch has great games, but some/most of them were originally Wii U games, like Zelda BOTW, Mario Kart 8, Mario Bros. U, Mario 3D World, ect. Also, you can play games from almost every Nintendo console. You can play Wii U games (which, like stated earlier, most of them have been remade into Switch games), Wii games, Gamecube games (because mods), and every other console through Virtual Console. It also has a large modding scene, which most modern consoles just don't have (I think you know why), and this allows you to do a lot more with the console. Finally, while it may not have made the Wii U as revolutionary as the Switch, the idea of being able to play on two screens at once as a home console was pretty great.

I'm not trying to stir up an argument about this, just sharing my opinion of it.

Why do people think that the Switch 1 is great and every other console (including the switch 2) is bad?

I'm the world's #1 Wii U fan lmao here we go. If I sound annoyed at any point just know that I'm not, I just get really heated about this sometimes

So, let's start with the fact that it can run Wii games. Maybe in 2012 this wasn't that big of a deal. But now, the Wii remains way more popular than the Wii U. The cheapest Wii I could find online was $90 CAD, while the cheapest Wii U was $48 CAD. So immediately it's a better option for playing the Wii's superior selection of games. Plus, it can run Wii U games (obviously) which includes some great titles like Splatoon, Super Mario Maker and Super Mario 3D World, even if that last one got a Switch port. Speaking of which, let's compare to the Switch; first of all, the Wii U has WAY more personality. I know that sounds dumb, but the menu, eShop, settings, etc. music just adds so much to a console for me and those things being gone on the Switch and Switch 2 just make those consoles so much worse to me. Switch 2 is different because of the visual and performance upgrades, making it probably better, but the Switch has no such crutches to fall back on. Besides, of course, its defining feature; being hybrid, which, in my opinion, is a bad thing. It makes the console more expensive, forces games to run with both modes, and makes Nintendo think whatever they do will work because so many people buy it (cough cough Mario Strikers Battle League cough cough). The Wii U, on the other hand, has two modes of play fused into one which is a genius gimmick. And before you say that's why the console flopped, no it's not. The console flopped because of bad marketing, and because the GamePad wasn't unique enough (it kinda was but whatever). Another feature I haven't even touched on yet is Miiverse; I absolutely loved Miiverse while it was still around and wish the Switch era had kept it. Miis in general just kinda died in the Switch era too as they got buried in system settings with barely any games showing them off, which really sucks and is something the Wii U did better (copying the Wii's homework, but the Wii U still did it well). Also, the Wii U/3DS online service was free. NSO is not. The GamePad does not have JoyCon drift. The GamePad also opens up tons of new options for games which is the only reason the Mario Maker series even exists. Essentially, the GamePad turns the Wii U into a home console version of the DS, which in my opinion is a very good thing.
