1) Super Mario Galaxy is exponentially better than Odyssey
2) Nowadays if I went into a store I would choose a Sonic game over a Mario one, Mario has gotten stale

2. YWW is better than Crafted World and is the best one in the series.

Well then only two Mario games I play on a frequent basis are Super Mario Maker 2 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, plus I apologize for such a hot take but I just don't like mainline Mario any more. Modern mainline Sonic is flawed too, but it's certainly better than what mainline Mario's becoming in recent years. I don't know, maybe Wonder will change my mind but I guess I'll just have to wait and see whether I like Wonder or Superstars better.

It isn't a hot take, most people think that they're underbaked. But technically, they aren't. The devs choose if the project is underbaked or not, if it feels complete to them, then that's the official opinion on it. The end. Not a hot take, which is basically what this topic is.
