I agree, these ideas are good, but avoid the off-MK Items. We are not in a random race game, we're on MARIO KART PC.

I feel like the Giant Banana could be a cool item
like the thing in Mario Kart Tour and Double Dash
It is a banana, but bigger, and when hit it drops 2 or 3 regular bananas on the ground
Also the Yoshi Egg from Double Dash could be cool, it's like a red shell but when it hits someone or it breaks, it drops a banana, a green shell, and a mushroom on the ground
Basically just add in Double Dash's cool items

We should add a combination of the fire and ice flowers from mario kart 8 and 8 deluxe. It could let you throw fireballs for 30 seconds and iceballs for 30 seconds in any order. It could also burn or freeze racers (even ones in stars or bullets), stopping them in their tracks for five to ten seconds. This should only be obtainable in 12th place, and would be incredibly rare, because it would be so powerful.
