It won't crash; a DDoS cannot completely destroy a server, just over-occupy it to the point of going down as a result of hitting its limit. And if it was possible for the server to be destroyed in that fashion, there are multiple solutions, the easiest of which being to either restart the server or restore from a backup (which has been done before).
