FYI, I'm also part of Generation Alpha, but I hate “brain rot” just like you. Back when I used to play Roblox, there wasn't all this crap in Roblox, and now it's taken over the entire internet. Luckily, I left Roblox before “steal a brainrot” came along.

Honestly brainrot is a bit of a reductionist term, it seems to imply that finding something funny or engaging is definitely going to negatively affect your intelligence, when there's several other factors at play

Not true, since it clearly needed a fanbase to get millions of views and to continue being made. Furthermore, children, such as yourself and the others in this topic, clearly hate the current "brainrot" so I don't see how that invalidates it as an example. I'd even argue it's a better example than ytp, which wasn't opposed by as many children as modern "brainrot" nor referenced by so many children

1. Hate watchers generally won't be enough to push something further. A large proportion of viewers would have liked it.

2. Alright, but my point still stands that children are opposed to the modern "brainrot", so I don't understand how this is a counter-point.

3. Skibidi toilet was certainly not planned to be a long-tunning series, it was initially made as a joke. "Brainrot" is supposed to be funny, but only to young children with short attention spans and unrefined senses of humour, hence why Italian "brainrot" and examples such as annoying orange were enjoyed, they are made to appeal to very young children.

4. I haven't seen much hate towards ytp's, although if there was I am fairly certain ot was from older people, not children, which doesn't counter my point that most examples of "brainrot" are despised by some groups of children. Furthermore, I don't think 4chan was "half the internet" and I don't know of any examples of death threats coming from it towards ytp content creators. If you have examples please share them as evidence.

On YouTube there's too much brainrot. YouTube was only made for sending videos for around the world, to get subscribers and stuff, but now, it's gotten haywire
