While Mario Kart Wii is certainly the best, I wouldn't necessarily say that Mario Kart Double Dash sucks, because Mario Kart Super Circuit is obviously the worst entry in the franchise. (I mean you start of 2D and then you're 3D but now it's back to 2D? What were we doing, Nintendo?)

TBH Mario Kart Wii is only goated because of its CTGP and Double Dash’s base game is already goated

Lol I don't agree with either of you fully, Wii is definitely my favourite (I play it with my cousins a LOT) but I also like Super Circuit and Double Dash - my least favourite is actually 64 (I just don't like how it plays and I've played all Mario Kart games aside from World (I'm saving to get it and a Switch 2 and though) and Home Circuit lol)

Yeah, Double Dash has mods too.
(DS and 3ds also has Ctgp,but I think Wii is better.)

My ranking of every Mario Kart Game:

1. Mario Kart Wii (obviously)
2. Mario Kart World (pretty good, just not as good as Wii)
3. Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (Very good game)
4. Mario Kart 64 (Stop the Mario Kart 64 hate!)
5. Mario Kart DS (I love the Soundfont and tracks, though the graphics are pixilated)
6. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Even with the DLC, it's still kind of boring)
7. Mario Kart 7 (Better tracks than Mario Kart 8, but more forgettable)
8. Mario Kart Tour (Mario Kart 8 Deluxe but not as good)
9. Mario Kart 8 (A worse version of Mario Kart 8 with no battlecourses)
10. Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 (Nobody has really played this)
11. Mario Kart Arcade GP (Just Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 with slightly less tracks)
12. Mario Kart Arcade GP VR (Nobody has touched this game, but at least it's 3D)
13. Mario Kart: Super Circuit (Super Mario Kart but better and more underwhelming)
14. Super Mario Kart (Terrible controls, repetitive track design, and has CI2 and KB2)
15. Mario Kart XXL (A goofy game that only has Peach Circuit from Super Circuit)
16. Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit (Overpriced, and let's be real; who's ever going to play this?)
