Can you tell exacly who?I don't know...

Not name calling anyone specifically but you can just look at the most active monthly members and see a decent amount of accounts with barely any online points. (15k is pretty easy to reach in a couple sessions)

That being said, online points aren't necessarily indicative of how much people actually play. Online isn't very active at the moment and there's many ways to play this game outside of online worldwides (lounges, custom tracks, time trials, challenges (not battle mode)). I for example have been active for 2.5 years yet I'm only top 100, simply because I don't enjoy worldwides that much.

Though if they are at exactly 5000, meaning they haven't tried online even once, then yeah kinda problematic lol

The reason why the message counter should objectively be deleted is because it presents having as many messages as possible as an achievement, but according to that metric alone spamming is something to be proud of when it's obviously not the case.

The younger immature userbase of the forum is made of young kids that take the suggestion behind the message counter too literally and fail to realize that quality is far more important than quantity in this context, since extreme quantity combined with 0 quality is just spam and that's against the rules.

Yes, the message counter indeed gives the message that having sent a lot of messages is an achievement, but that's the case ONLY because it ASSUMES all of these messages are meaningful and high-quality enough to deserve to exist and not count as spam!

Wargor's mistake is that he didn't foresee immature forum users misunderstanding the intent behind the message counter, since it seemed common sense enough to him that it's supposed to make you proud of having sent a lot of messages on the forum that aren't just any kind of message... But sadly there are far too many immature forum kids who miss the point and believe they're justified in spamming and posting low-quality slop on the forum so the message counter needs to go away (at least the leaderboard & ranks).

Oh, and why do we have forum ranks but no challenge points ranks? When the site is supposed to be more about the game than the forum? And when it would be far more harmless and logical that way?

I suggest reusing the forum ranks as challenge points ranks, since that would actually encourage playing the game more often rather than spam on the forum.

I feel like Wargor should add more stuff in the game so the forums don't end up being thing get people in. Adding new content would help the game grow like admin abuse still best thing that grow a garden came up with or gliders sound stupid it appear when you take a cannon and customized that's different from karts but I got off topic.

What Wargor need to do is remove the god damn IP of mario, you can now make ads for it so all of that all of the updates would help making play the game because you would lose all of mario fans and make new fans of your IP.

Why people use forums, they just want a mario kart forum because they can already play the game only reason that's why idk why but that's reason I've seen.

I can definitely see why the message counter could be good - if used as how I think was intended, you can see who's been on more and is probably more experienced - but is abused by little Timmys trying to get to King Luigi rank. The forum shouldn't be used as Discord, but anyone can get on, but instead a place to hype up cool tracks you or someone else made, or to explore shortcuts and tech for online. I've also seen a lot of complaints about no one being online, which is also true. I'm not entirely sure what my VR is (you can't see it while typing out comments), but it's pretty low. I would play more, but after Grand Prixs, you'd obviously go to online. At least, that would be the case, but no one is ever online to play against.

tbh, removing the entire fourm is probably not the best idea, but I might see why if it is removed. IMO I think the message leaderboard should be removed instead of removing fourms in general.

There is a challenge points rank, but I have no idea of how I found it: Challenge Points Ranks

It does need to be in a more obvious spot

thats more of a leaderboard than rank, ranks are something (like a title) that represent that something else, e.g. the VR ranks/leagues "Novice", "Champion", "Legend", "Superstar"

1. That's just the challenge points leaderboard, it has nothing to do with ranks which are something like titles (Novice, Expert, Grandmaster, King Mario, Silver Luigi, etc.). My point was that the challenge mode, while it comes with its own leaderboard, currently lacks ranks.

2. The challenge points leaderboard is very easy to find it through the homepage, just press the "Challenge points - Leaderboard" link located directly above Recent activity. I don't see in what way it's not an obvious spot but if you have a better idea I'm listening...

Maybe make it a different colour, because when I'm looking through the home page I feel that it's too light - making the text darker would help. When you are going through the home page your eyes probably don't find it important, so when you do want to find it, you will overlook it.

I agree. If we want to stop people from message farming then just remove the cause of the problem. This is Mario Kart, not Some Forum with Thousands of UnderAged Kiddies.
