I made this topic purely because there are many tracks that are being stolen as of now. Anyways

What is a stolen track?
A stolen track is a track made by somebody in the past that has been reuploaded by another person with absolutely no credit whatsoever.

What do you do if you're not sure it's stolen?
Search the track name in the list of all creations (thx to Krazey for telling me this)

How do you identify a stolen track?
A stolen track usually has item boxes and decor sprites on the minimap, meaning it's stolen, with the exception of MKDS tracks (thx to Daisanko for telling me this)

How do you know it's stolen?
If some people are commenting on the stolen track stuff like "Stolen from (name)", then check that person's tracks to see if it is the same but with a different upload date, which is how you know that's the original track.

What do you do if you see a stolen track?
Just 1/5 star rate it and report it, the mods should get round to deleting it in 1 day - 1 week minimum.

What do you do after you've reported the stolen track?
Report the person who stole the track on the report topic, simple as that.

I hope this helped! Enjoy the rest of your day.

I would like to add that if there is decors and item boxes on the minimap with the same sprite as MKPC, it is typically a stolen track (with the exception of tracks from Mario Kart DS)

Also if you feel suspicious of a course in general, look up the name in the tracks section.

Also, most of the time the tracks just lack walls

Some People Accuse some of My DS Courses as Stolen Because of the Items, but DS Maps Have Items and Decors.

Anyways, it's come to my attention that someone is pretending to be @Kirby123 and they are stealing tracks as well. I'll go report this but I just wanted to say this so more people know about it.

Well, first you'll need to find a circuit to steal. I'd recommend the Monza GP in Italy, mainly because it's the only F1 circuit I remember. Next, you'll need an Italian VISA. Third, you'll have to go to Italy and either buy or import several hundred excavators. Also grab a couple hundred choppers, while you're at it. Hide these somewhere & then try to get a job at the track. Next up, spend several months becoming a trustworthy guy. Or just work the night shift. Finally, you need to get several hundred people crazy enough to help you to use the excavators to dig out sections of the course, air lift these pieces with the helicopters, & find somewhere safe to hide them, all in the cover of darkness, & probably after you've taken care of the other watchmen. Then you've stolen the track! It's not a good track, but it's a track.

No, that's for reporting stolen tracks, not identifying them
