The game will most likely go back to the 8-cup system, but it will include a Mario Wonder and/or Odessey course.
The roster likely won't add more retro characters, but I could see more new characters from tour coming in, and even some brand-new racers (I'm really only saying that bc I want E. Gadd in this game.
The Items will likely have some new additions, like the feather being in race mode and the mega mushroom returning, but probably no new items.

I'd like that, I had the idea that coins could be used to buy a few (but not all) of the unlockable characters instead of directly unlocking them, that way if you like or don't like certain characters, you can choose who you want to get.

I saw Pauline but no Daisy (no way she isn't in a recent Mario Kart game), but I really hope for Poochy

I'm hoping for a hide and seek game mode. I also hope that they have constant DLC and maybe a shop to buy new characters and karts with collected coins. Also, I want them to keep double item boxes and not nerf bagging.

Coins have been spotted on the straight away(or atleast what look like coins) infront of the boosts past the dirt road
