Basically hold down Ctrl and the direction you wanna drift in. Once you've started the drift you can let off the left/right to adjust your course.
The reason some of the others are talking about using alt key; you can change what keys do what down by the 'screen size, music, etc' stuff in the bottom left of your screen.knew I shouldn't have deleted that screenshot

If I recall correctly the site actually register ctrl, alt and alt gr as the same keys, which is kind of weird but must be logic in some cases xd

Btw I use shift to drift, ctrl isn't a viable option in the case of Mac users like me due to an internal disruptive shortcut involving ctrl + the side arrow keys
