Samedi 10 juin à eu lieu le tirage au sort de la Coupe Du Monde 2023 de Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Comme chaque année, les meilleurs joueurs du monde viennent représenter leur pays dans l'espoir de devenir le joueur numéro 1!

Tour Préliminaire
12 au 18 Juin

Le Tour Préliminaire regroupe les nations jugées les moins fortes participants au tournoi. Ces nations ont étés tirées au sort dans 3 groupes de 4 équipes. Chaque nation affronte une fois chacune des autres équipes présentes dans son groupe. A la fin, les 2 meilleures équipes de chaque groupe se qualifient pour la Phase de Groupe!!!



Phase de Groupe
19 au 25 Juin

La Phase de Groupe regroupe les 18 nations jugées les plus fortes participants au tournoi, ainsi que les nations issues du Tour Préliminaire. Ces nations ont étés tirées au sort dans 4 groupes "bas" et 2 groupes "hauts" de 4 équipes chacun. Les groupes "hauts" regroupent les 8 meilleures équipes au monde. Chaque nation affronte une fois chacune des autres équipes présentes dans son groupe. A la fin, les 2 meilleures équipes dans chaque groupe "bas", ainsi que l'ensemble des équipes des groupes "hauts" se qualifient pour la Phase à Élimination Directe.


Phase à Élimination Directe
26 Juin au 9 Juillet

La Phase à Élimination Directe regroupe les 16 nations issues de la Phase de Groupe. Ces nations s'affrontent à travers des matchs à élimination directe, où les affiches du 1er tour (huitièmes de finales) sont déterminés en fonction des performances de la phase de groupe, de façon à ce qu'une équipe "haute" affronte une équipe "basse". A la différence des tours précédents, un match se joue en format BO3 (Best Of 3): cela signifie qu'au sein d'un même match, une équipe doit remporter 2 manches sur 3 pour se qualifier pour le tour suivant. A la fin, les 2 meilleures équipes s'affrontent lors de la finale, où les vainqueurs deviendront CHAMPIONS DU MONDE 2023.
The World Cup 2023 of Mario Kart's draw took place saturday, June 10th. Like every year, the best players in the world come to represent their country in the hope of becoming the number 1 player!

Play-In Stage
June 12th to 18th

Play-In Stage is the first round of the World Cup. All the lower nations starts here, and are seeded into 3 groups of 4 teams. In each group, each team will face each opponent once. At the end, the top 2 teams from each pool will advance for the Group Stage.


Group Stage
June 19th to 25th

The Group Stage oppose the top 16 nations alongside the few teams that qualify from the Play-In Stage. The remaining teams are seeded into 4 groups of 4 teams each in the "lower group stage", and 2 groups of 4 teams in the "upper group stage". In each group, each team will face each opponent once. At the end, top 2 teams from each "lower" pool and all teams from the "upper" groups will advance for the Knockout Stage.


Knockout Stage
June 26th to July 9th

The Knockout Stage oppose the last 16 nations in the tournament. The remaining teams will compete in a single-elimination bracket (starting at the Round of 16), where the 1st round matchups (round of 16) are decided by the group stage results. A "upper" team will always face a "lower" team in the round of 16. Here, a match follows the BO3 (Best Of 3) format: a single match is played on multiple rounds, and a team must win 2 rounds out of 3 to qualify for the next round. At the end, the 2 remaining teams will play in the World Cup final to crown the 2023 MARIO KART WORLD CUP CHAMPIONS!!!

Ryubix True, it is not linked directly with MKPC, but we are still a Mario Kart community (way smaller than the official games's, I admit), and multiple members of our circle used to compete in MKWC in the past (Neemo and Kirio played for France and Veethan played for Canada in MK7 ; Neemo again played for Africa in MKWii).

Also, like the official games, we host our own competitive events, with a lounge, and leagues like any other Mario Kart community. We also launched our first international event, the Tri-Nations, that can be taken as our own MKWC.
