I think that the new shell should be kept in the game, but not available in the standard item distribution so the game can be played without them.
I agree. I think that this item also should be unavailable in online mode.
That uses the standard item set, so it is covered by what I said.
I think it would work in the shells only mode, and custom distributions.

i should not be allowed to edit mario kart wii textures using only ms paint.
I Do The Same! But I Don't Have A Way Of Putting The Stuff In The Game I Just Get The Model From The Models Resource And Replace The Images.
Also Is That A Gamba?
To edit the textures, I use dolphin to dump the textures and then its custom texture pack settings to use them in-game (as for the rom, i ripped it from my real disc).

dose anyone one on here have the dolphin emulator? i wanna download it on my computer and im a little unsure if its safe or not. ive heard only good things about it but for some reason i still am little uncomfortable with downloading something like that.
It's perfectly safe, just don't pirate ROMS and make sure to download it from the official website.

You can rip them from real wii discs using homebrew. You can use tutorials online to get the wii menu, because that is being downloaded from nintendo's official update servers. Although you could download roms, I would suggest against it.
