i totally did not get the idea from this topic
basically those things where a button will grant you a benefit but also a side effect, e.g. "You'll recieve $1,000,000, but 100 random people die. Would you press the button?"
in this topic you can send choices of your own, and react with either ✅ or ❌ to show your decision

If we frontrun, you can't win with shells without bagging for triples.

In other cases, like mk8, you'd be right. But, the difference here is the skill's influence. Before, without Rd, the game plays like mk8, centered on items. But with Rd, you need to know layouts, maps, be great at drifting, otherwise, your victories will be outliers. So yes, the game's about skill, but luck doesn't overpower that aspect. "Not just about skill" doesn't mean "luck is superior", it simply means skill isn't the only factor. Mario Kart PC is about driving and adaptation. Skill and strategy. Items appear based on an algorithm, and there's ways to manipulate the algorithm in your favor, alluding to strategy. Obviously, you need to drive well to beat pros, and obviously, you need to use the item pool to your advantage better than others to do good. The game is mostly about skill and adaptation, with undertones of luck and predetermined outcomes.
I totally agree with you, MKPC is as much about skill as it is about strategy and luck, as you say.
