30 years ago, Mario Kart 64 was released (On December 14th 1996), and I’m celebrating its 30th anniversary with this solo project…

Project 64 will be including 5 cups (+1 difference form the original game)

Please note that the track roster for Lightning Cup is not yet determined (You could make suggestions for a track, that isn’t a retro to any other project or game)

There will be 16 characters in this project! (4 of them are in the works of making their sprite sheets.)

(The other 4 characters will not be announced yet until an update after the ALPHA version is released.)

“When will this project be finished?”

The project will be expected to be finished (as of ALPHA version) in November of 2026! If there are delays I will announce them.

This is a celebration to the 30th anniversary of Mario Kart 64! Where we remember our memories of first playing it (for the 80s and 90s people), or just to acknowledge its grand evolution to Mario Kart!

If you remember, I made a topic a while ago titled something like "What your favorite item says about you", and now I'm back to make What your favorite TRACK says about you (and this is subjective not trying to offend anyone)

and yes I said I would take a short break but I didn't mention that I would completely leave to make tracks, I'll go on here from time to time



SNES:

MC1: you've just started playing or you like to annoy people
DP1: you like donut plains but don't like when they're thin and have too many cuts
KB1: you like short tracks with water for some reason
CI1: you like bagging
VL1: you pick it to annoy people cus a lot of people cant drive this without running into offroad (or is that just me :/)
GV1: you like rainbow road but want less risk
MC2: you like bagging but not a lot
BC1: you're chill, nothing to say here
DP2: you love bagging
BC2: you just like the shortcuts
CI2: you REALLY love bagging
MC3: does this person even exist?
KB2: I can confidently say you don't exist
VL2: you either a certain guy who loves 200cc or you like to watch people fall over and over again

Peach Circuit: sure ig
Shy Guy Beach: you really REALLY love bagging

Yoshi Falls: you like short tracks
Cheep Cheep Beach: good. just good. this track is chill asf and you're the same
Luigi's Mansion: you like the Luigi's mansion series
Desert Hills: you are one of few people who like the track and I respect that
Delfino Square: you either like Mario sunshine or you're a Mario sunshine nerd
Waluigi Pinball: youre just here for the music
Shroom Ridge: this person does not exist
DK Pass: you like the NS2 version
Tick-Tock Clock: you think the song is a banger and I agree
Mario Circuit: you think this as f8c if it was good but the f8c fans disagree HARD
Airship Fortress: valid opinion moving on
Wario Stadium: you associate the song with this more for some reason
Peach Gardens: seriously like its good but its no ones favorite
Bowser's Castle: you like insane tech

so yea uh tell me what your favorite track is and if I got it right tell me and if not sure this is subjective anyway

Yes, that is true that the average maximum is 5-6 players. But it’s really because most of the active players are either French or East American. So the best times would be 2:00-9:00(14:00-21:00)UTC, and best days are usually Fridays and Saturdays.
