It would add a nice new degree of similarity to the official Mario kart games, but like Wal68 said, the CPUs are already pretty capable. Also it would be kind of a pain to reprogram them just for that. Finally, if they had the additional speed granted from drifting in grand prix mode, it would be rather unfair to new players.

Mmmm, rugby. Yes that is a good one. As for the fault I'd say most contact sports players are like that in some way or another. Language, bullying, it depends on the person, but playing sports like rugby or american football (at least as a kid like most of us) will likely bring you into contact with some people who are just not... great.
