Hello everyone, the administration is announcing the launch of the Balloon Fight Tournament, the 2nd official battle mode tournament ever played on MKPC!

So, how the  tournament will be played?
First, I need to tell you that the format was decided by both @Link-Triforce-8 and me.

Phase 1 :

First of all, you are 12 candidates, so we seeded you into 2 groups (A & B) for the group stage.

Each group will play 2 sessions of qualifiers during 2 weeks. Group A will play the wesneday and group B the saturday. Also the 2 groups will play near 7 or 8pm (french hour) in private mode.
A the end of each session, you will play will all your group in 4 games of battle. Results need to be writed down IN EACH GAME! Your ranking at the end of each game will give you points for the ranking:


This means you can won a maximum of 20 points per session!

Phase 2 :

At the end of the 2 sessions, the top 2 of each group is qualified for the 2nd step:

The final stage, it's an direct elimination tournament: semi-finals, final and even a 3rd place match.
The semi-finals are choosen based on group stage results:
-1st of Group A vs 2nd of Group B
-1st of Group B vs 2nd of Group A

Matches will be played in 1v1 with a format BO5 (Best Of 5). The goal is to win 3 games before your opponent (3 because since you play only 5 rounds, you are sure to win if you win 3 rounds at least). The matches will be played in private and the schedule will be choosen only after the group stage. Also, you need to write down the results (how many ballons did you get in each round?).

Prizes :

First of all, each participant will won online points (battle mode points) based on their results in the tournament:
Winner: 2000 points
Runner-up: 1000 points
3rd place: 800 points
4th place: 500 points
Group Stage: 100 points

The winner will won a title on his profile and also on the Discord server.
This title will give him access to the VIP Dicord room where infos are given a bit in advance.

today and a very special day. A special day that we experience every year: December 31. Day of the end of the year, day of nostalgia. One day to tell us that we are entering a new year, hoping that the news will be better than the previous one.

This time, it's different: not only will we change the year, but also the decade! We are leaving both the year 2019, but also the decade of the 2010s! Damn, 10 years ... 10 years ... For you it may not matter to you, but for me, it represents half of my life! This afternoon again, I was walking in the field of my grandparents. I walked on this muddy path next to the hens and I remembered not only this year 2019, but also 2010, 2011, 2012 ... 2014 until 2018 and finally 2019.
10 years is also the life of Mario Kart PC! Our favorite Mario Kart fangame was born in 2010! Soon a decade that @Wargor's son amused players around the world!
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the game, we will probably do 2/3 little things during the year. Be aware during the next few months about it, ok?
