Unrelated note, that video is age restricted, I don't think that even 30% of the people on the website can see it.

Pipeline & Slide have literally nothing in common besides the name, which is a localization error. Especially when Slide went out of it's way to be a Mario 1 reference with the music & location. Pipeline is actually a pipe track, which we've never had in the entirety of the series. We've gone through pipes for a couple seconds, but never for extended periods of time. It also had split paths and an interesting hazard in the form of the backwards flowing water at the end. Also, we have 4 basic Circuits & 5 Rainbow Roads.

The only thing that pisses me off about Mario Kart 8 is Piranha Plant Pipeline getting skipped for trash like Rosalina's Ice World. Everything else about this game is literally perfect imo, which is why I hope that the next Mario Kart is a reboot of some kind. They really can't push this formula any further.
Also, unlocking characters was never special & never felt like an accomplishment, & I'm glad that they chose to give us all from the get go. Especially when half of the characters share stats with some other character you already have, at that point it's literally just a skin. Unless we go back to a tiny roster with unique stats for every character, giving us all at the start since so many are dupes is a great idea.

AI is good when it's being used to replace something tedious/dangerous to a normal human. For something like art, AI is not okay.

Like, I remember seeing something about them planning to use AI in FFVR3 to adjust character faces for voicelines: they'd give the AI the words being said, & the person saying them, & it'd adjust their face accordingly. They'd work out the rough patches, obviously, but using AI for something like that make sense. It's a tedious job, especially nowadays when every single pore & hair strand on their face must be seen. If you mean omething like art, which is not tedious & you could easily pay someone else to do for you if you can't do it yourself, then I agree.

It really isn't all that imo. Rainbow Roads in general are just very boring, with nothing going on. It's just space, they really aren't anything special. Except GCN, which was made to feel like an actual finale.

Anyway Lance, just drop your character, play Sonic, camp every single game & win the bracket. It's that simple. As long as you camp properly, you win.

I also get the slight feeling that most people here only play Smash on a casual level, so you may not get great tips. Try Twitter, Reddit, etc. Join the community!

Oh, & try to find a pro player for your mains on Youtube. 9/10 says they'll have some video on how to play the character.

Coincidentally, Hbox just released a vid about some top players for every single character in the game. Not everyone of them does Youtube or Twitch, but you can find their sets online & watch those for free on Youtube. Just look 'em up.
Keep in mind that this is his opinion, but it's good for learning top players if you're new.

EDIT: More stuff: You don't need to borderline copy everything that pro does, because they're playing at a much higher level where baiting & predicting are important. Tbf, I haven't played comp since Sm4sh, things could have changed, but lower down you don't need to be doing allat.

Find out what your character's archetype is(grappler, rush down, etc.) so you know what works best(and also what you're opponents might be expecting your character to do)

Lastly, & I cannot stress this enough, this is not online where you fish for cool clips with no consequences. There's money on the line. Combos look cool, & are what everybody looks at, but neutral is easily the most important part of the game. Of every game. Yes, the part where the combatants are throwing out a couple attacks & empty jumping about is the most important part of the game. Why? Well, when every stage is small as shit, the less breathing room your opponent has, the more desperate they may become(this is low level, a little higher they won't get desperate that easily) & more importantly, the less space they have to clip you. If you're seriously looking for tips, go onto Youtube or Reddit.

If you're a beginner, you should maybe learn your character's strengths & weaknesses & counterplay. If I may, what character do you main? I might be able to recommend you a video if I you tell me. From there, practice some bread & butters. I trust you understand what that means...

Also think about what you did wrong. Did you SD a couple times? DI horribly causing you to die unreasonably early often? Were you playing more aggressively than you should have been? Were you playing too laid back & giving up space? And then try to improve on that.
Assuming this was a local minor tournament, you'll probably face the same people over & over. Try to learn their characters & playstyles, & counterpick the shit out of them next time.

I should also step back & ask if this was a casual tournament or full on competitive(3 stocks, no items, etc.).

And lastly, find some people to practice with. I unironically don't know much about Smash scrims, but it's done all the time in Splatoon/other competitive games so...

Anyway, you will occasionally have horrible bracket runs. Don't sweat it. You've got plenty of time to improve.

First of all, there isn't one. CEMU requires you to have a copy of the game already, same for Ryujinx, & downloading ROMs off the internet is illegal.

Second of all, there is literally 0 market value in putting their games on PC, because then no one would buy their consoles, which is how they make most of their money. Playstation & Xbox have already been struggling with finding reasons for players to actually buy their consoles this generation(hence the PS5 has no games joke), which is technically fine, since Sony & Microsoft have other ways of making money. Nintendo has nothing else besides videogames. If they were to give up their exclusives, all they'd have is a sub-par piece of hardware, which nobody would buy. If there's no reason to buy a Nintendo, then making them is a waste of time. It's a stubborn business strategy, but it's kept them alive for the past 40 years. Never gonna happen.
There's a good reason people are saying that you only need a Switch & a PC nowadays to play every game. The games are that one reason. Without them forcing people to buy their hardware, they'd be finished.

It depends on if you have a Switch or not. If you do have a Switch, then you should get:
Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, Metroid Prime 3 & Wii Sports Resort. If you don't have a Switch, add Kirby's Return to Dreamland, Xenoblade Chronicles(maybe? If you're old enough to play it, and if you can deal with the combat system, Xenoblade defo isn't for everyone), Super Smash Bros. Brawl, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Super Sluggers & Donkey Kong Country Returns. Outside of this, I can't reccommend a single other Wii game to anyone. Truly one of the most overrated consoles of all time(and I grew up with this thing).
