This dress:



10 years ago there was a debate on what color it is(which is why it's resurfaced: to tell the truth it never really went away)

The correct color is black & blue, but some people are perceiving the light differently and seeing different colors.

Eventually we got a picture taken with a better camera, & this particular side profile for comparison, but some ppl are still in denial.



The general consensus is that it's an ugly ass dress & a picture taken with an ugly ass camera intentionally.

It's something to do with how your brain perceives the light source, there's a picture that shows it off really well

Somebody pointed out that if you push your laptop screen back you can see the blue and black and that's when I realized they were right.

My parents just learned about the dress it's so over

Anyway, what colors do you see in the dress? Yeah it's black & blue, it's not up for debate, but what do you see? Do you see white & gold?

Fair point. I still think I'd like 3DS over Wii, but they're all pretty good (except 64)

8 Deluxe. It has just about every song worth listening too, & even the bad ones sound better than they used to(Toad Turnpike, Dry Dry Desert, etc.) Add in the Booster Course Pass & you have an almost perfect OST. There are a couple good ones missing though(Choco Island, Koopa Troopa Beach, 64 Sherbet Land, Shy Guy Beach, Lakeside Park, GBA Bowser Castle, YOSHI DESERT, GCN Rainbow Road, Airship Fortress, Luigi's Mansion, Delfino Square, Toad's Factory, Dry Dry Ruins, Daisy Hills, Cheep Cheep Lagoon, Shy Guy Bazaar, Wario Shipyard, 3DS Bowser Castle & Piranha Plant Pipeline) but as a whole it's definitely far and away the best. I'd give 7 second place; it has most of the ups with less downs than Wii, & obviously some of Wii's best music(also a lot of the retro songs are ported over from Wii, so it's not even close because it's the same songs & then some)

(Also only 1 3DS track but 3 DS tracks, 2 in the same cup after we already got 4 DS in 8 & 7 & Wii)

I still feel that next game will be a soft reboot, but if not I've got my predictions set.

First off, 4 cups of retros will not be enough after BCP, it needs to be atleast 6

For the tracks

SNES: Koopa Beach 1/2, Choco Island 1/2, Vanilla Lake 1/2, Mario Circuit 4, Ghost Valley 1/2/3

Either way any of these would be getting the BC3 remake so it'd be better.

N64: Frappe Snowland, Mario Raceway, Banshee Boardwalk

Wii completely killed off everything for this game.

GBA: Cheep Cheep Island, Yoshi Desert, Peach/Luigi Circuit, GBA Bowser Castle 2/3/4, Lakeside Park, Broken Pier, Rainbow Road

Tour had so many good remakes and they picked Sunset Wilds & Sky Garden

GCN: Mushroom Bridge/City, Peach Beach, Dino Dino Jungle, Rainbow Road

All of these(besides Dino Dino) have good cases, & if Peach Beach got updated like Waluigi Stadium & Peach Gardens, then it might cook

DS: Delfino Square, Luigi's Mansion, Airship Fortress, Bowser's Castle

This time 7 killed the game off. Could be anything really(except Figure 8/Falls)

Wii: Toad Factory, Mario Circuit, Dry Dry Ruins(okay this one is peak), Bowser Castle

Literally it for the game, talk about milked, meanwhile we have

7: Daisy Hills, Shy Guy Bazaar, Cheep Cheep Lagoon, Wario Shipyard, Bowser's Castle, Mario Circuit

It's kinda nuts how much they could pull from this game. Best Mario Circuit in the series, a track cut from Mario Kart 8(Shy Guy Bazaar), objectively best Bowser Castle in the series, Wario Shipyard, 2 Mushroom Cup tracks are pretty good, and they bring back...Toad Circuit? Rainbow Road? Atleast we got the base 8 courses & Rock Rock, but they dropped the ball with their best entry's(track-wise) representation, which is especially crazy when you realize how many retros from 7 were brought back(atleast 2 in every Wave except 4 & 6; Wave 2 & 3 have 3 retro tracks EACH). Heck, Tour was built off of 7's engine. It's literally THE Mario kart. And yet they keep sucking off Wii for no reason...anyway, they need to do 7 justice(again, the base 8 tracks were prety good)

WiiU: Hopefully Switch 3 isn't 10+ years away or we'll literally have been playing on these courses for 20 years

Ideally also RMXs would be on the table, but I genuinely do think the era of the series that we've been playing for the last 20 years is over(DS is when retros were first added aside from Super Circuits....whatever you wanna call that. Reimaginings? Not really) They aren't enough tracks for any more than one last game in this style, & the BCP credits do give me that "On to the next one!" Vibe. Combine that with nearly every other Nintendo series doing the same thing on Switch, & I dunno. I'm 90% positive that the next era is coming: if not, see you all in MK9/10 online where ppl pick SNES MC1 & nothing else.

EDIT: Unironically, they could re-release some of the Tour tracks & I'd be completely alright with it, the cities were easily the best part of the BCP(as someone who has played Wii & 7 to death & is bored of seeing Coconut Mall & Waluigi Pinball over & over and over)

Like, Ninja Hideaway carried Wave 1, Sydney carried Wave 2. The Tour tracks are good, some of the best in the series.

I thought this was going to be one of those bait math questions with 2 different answers based on the system you grew up with that you see so often.

On an unrelated note, how did you type a division sign? Are you on mobile?

EDIT: No wait, it could still be one. Problem is I feel that it's an American vs EU sort of thing & there's more EU + rest of World here than Americans

EDIT 2: Nah I'm tripping, it's got nothing to do with region & everything to do with deciding whether to prioritize dividing or multiplying

Brackets first: 6/2(1+2) = 6/2(3) = 6/6 = 1
Divides first: 6/2(1+2) = 6/2(3) = 3(3) = 9

As my childhood: pretty good. Definitely had better moral points than most of the stuff now(except for PBS which is apparently getting defunded soon so there goes that) which is what should be being taught at that level.

Not a fan of all the spinoffs nowadays, they're all really pointless & retcon-ny.

I'll assume that the main series is still the same as it always was but I haven't watched it in years

EDIT: Looked it up. The only answer I can find states that it's there to prevent you from seeing the void below the map with the camera(like how you might see through a wall if you're to close to it). It just blues out your screen so you can't see the camera clipping, I guess. I can't tell what would be causing it right here tho... The buildings on the right, maybe? I haven't played in ages.

EDIT 2: Yeah, reading is hard for me apparently. It happens when a building gets in the way of the camera. It's in the game manual. Obviously you're on Dolphin(I assume since you said so for Wii) so you wouldn't have that, but it's interesting. So, yes, it's to stop you from seeing straight through a wall(not sure if it's a wall behind you or what), but the camera is simply not having that.
