The unlocking feature was on Wii U, they probably took out in deluxe because of new characters and the DLC ones being already there. If you ask me, didn't change much.

As much as I wanted to put bigger crossovers, for example, Kirby, I think that just Mario characters would already make the game good, every game before MK8 (except DS) had only Mario characters and they were mostly good, I also think that 36 characters is already a pretty complete roster

Strangely, an arrow appeared revealing that the entire dream was an youtube video, and the arrow clicked on an earlier part of the dream. Until today I remember about the mario kart part (that was the actual shortest part of the entire dream)

In ultimate I normally play Greninja, Kirby and Kazuya
