What is your favourite Mario Kart game?

I will be counting the number of people that say Mario Kart Wii, and the number will get quite high.

Personally, here is my ranking:

#1: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
#2: Mario Kart Wii
#3: Mario Kart PC
#4: Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit
#5: Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
#6: Mario Kart Tour (plz dont kill me)
#7: Mario Kart Arcade GP DX
#8: Mario Kart 8
#9: Mario Kart DS
#10: Mario Kart Arcade GP
#11: Mario Kart 7
#12: Mario Kart 64
#13: Mario Kart Arcade GP VR
#14: Mario Kart Arcade GP 2
#15: Mario Kart: Super Circuit
#16: Super Mario Kart

Keep in mind that the only one of these I actually don't like is Super Mario Kart, so the rest of them that are near the bottom of the list are fun, but aren't as fun as another game. I also figured that even though Mario Kart PC and the arcade games weren't developed by Nintendo, they still are a Mario Kart game, so they count for me.

10: Super Mario Kart (I actually like this game! Again ACTUALLY PLEASE DON'T FIGHT ME)
11: Mario Kart Wii (Okay you are definitely killing me for this.)

It's a tie between these:
Wii (because it's the only game I own)
Double Dash (because of the double kart mechanic)
DS (because it has Mission Mode and one of the best selections of Retro Tracks)
8 Deluxe (it's 8 Deluxe)

I cant rate all the games fairly because i haven’t played them all, so I’ll just rate the ones i played.

I won't be ranking Home Circuit because it is a TOY, NOT a Mario Kart game.

Also, no arcade games because they were made by Namco.

I'll throw in MKPC for the heck of it.


9. Super Mario Kart
This game has not aged well in the slightest. The tracks are mediocre and the drifting is horrible.

8. Mario Kart: Super Circuit
A graphical update of Super. The tracks are slightly better, but still pretty bland.

7. Mario Kart Wii
I'm gonna say it...

I don't like Mario Kart Wii.

6. Mario Kart 64
Mario Kart's first jump to 3D was a good one. Some good and classic tracks in here. The drifting is meh and the rubber banding is awful.

5. Mario Kart PC
I'm basing this completely off the game itself, not the forum. Pretty great track remakes and the items are great. The Bullet Bills in Airship Fortress is terrible and the Bob-Ombs are way too OP.

4. Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
Almost all the tracks are amazing, the two characters idea is brilliant, and this game has Waluigi Stadium. Do I need to say anymore? Also, the game's drifting isn't terrible, you guys are just bad-

3. Mario Kart DS
The controls are the best in the series. It has Mission Mode. It has Waluigi Pinball. Again, do I need to say anymore?

2. Mario Kart 7
The gliding and underwater mechanics in this game are great. The vehicle customization in this game is brilliant. It also has amazing tracks. It has the best retro track selection in the series, yeah that's right, I said it. The best online play too. It also has Waluigi Pinball. Personally, this is my favorite Mario Kart.

1. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
The graphics in this game is just... insane. Mario Kart's graphics have never been stunning, they've mostly just been "gets the job done". The tracks are amazing. The anti-gravity mechanic is great too.
Also, Sunshine Airport is overrated, like only 10% of the track is actually in the airport, it should be called "Sunshine Airfield". The track is mediocre.
