How to Make Animated Racers

Okay so i recently played with a racer that was supposed to be Sonic with no kart and i noticed that his legs were moving while i was driving and so i checked the image file for him and it turns out that they used a .Gif file to make his legs move. i thought this was a great idea and i thought i would share it with you all

I did not create these sprites and full credit goes to the creater of the racer and the creator of the Super Sonic sprites that were used

yeah my friend @BonesCPHunter noticed that was well and he was like how is this a png when its an animated gif because he showed me that it was a png even though it was animated and i found it extremley odd. not sure how to explain it though
