unlocking characters?

i've gotten gold in all the grand prix races, there's still slots for characters that arent unlocked. how do i go about unlocking them? thanks!

You need to play custom track grand prixs to unlock them :)

You need to play custom track grand prixs to unlock them :)
If you don't have Bowser Jr. yet, then try to win your own custom gp
