Pokemon Legends ZA is hot ASS
A lot of people likes the newest Pokemon game called: Pokemon Legends ZA. I think it's TRASH. Here is my reason:
I feel like it is horrible for a lot of reasons, and I'm sure this will change your mind of Pokemon Legends ZA if you love it or like it.
I know that they wanted to do something different, but it's just hot cheeks to be honest. No gym leaders, no Pokemon League, it's just bad. Instead of actual wild areas, you're in the CITY. THE POKEMON IS IN THE GODDAMN CITY. Why? I forgot but, it's just dumb. It's sad that you can't even go out into the wild. Even Pokemon Sword and Shield is better than this crap. The Pokemon League is this rank up thingy, where the more battles you win the more you rank up, something like that. It's not hard, no competition, just an easy game. It had no competition feel to it, you're just laying down on your couch and just easily beating the game. Also, the graphics are HORRIBLE. It feels like the tracks in MKPC when you look into the background. The houses for walls and everything are just bad and looks like it got screenshotted and got put into the game. All this new stuff is making my head hurt. The storyline is absolutely TRASH. Most of the mega evolutions are TRASH. (although i do like some of them i admit) The whole game is TRASH. It should not be at 60 or 80 dollars. That game should be FREE. That should be a BROWSER game. It's just not good! It's just not. I have way more reasons, but that will be too long for me to type. Other than that, it's just hot cheeks. Now, I know that other people in the world have opinions, but this is mine, and my opinion is that it's straight up booty cheeks. Who would actually rate that game 5 stars? And why did they make AZ's floette so powerful? At the beginning of the game, that floette did a KAMEHAMEHA. I swear the pokemon is NOT that strong. What you mean every pokemon is bad. None of the games show off the console it makes console worse in every way if only pokemon. There better looking ds games aren't m64ds even zuru pets is better looking game than gen 5 games so like what do want me to say if saw the pokemon giga leak creator was being forced to change his ideas. Also gamefreak is one of worse game companies ever every non pokemon feel like ao3 fanfic, there first non nintendo framerate is worse than Soundwave transforming into cassette player on the new robosen and that's slowest robosen ever, by now pokemon company should have a crown for this.

Hmmm I wonder if the fact that the Legends games are spin-offs has anything to do with the formula being largely dissimilar from other Pokémon games, totally couldn't be the case, right?

That said, we haven't had a real Pokemon League or Elite 4 since Gen 6. (Gen 9 stuff is completely optional) So I guess this guy hasn't been paying attention? Like this reminds me of the critiques Journeys and Horizons have gotten from Ashnime fans where there aren't enough static goals for the MC to achieve. It's supposed to be a lived in world and stuff. There's more to Pokemon than badges and gyms. Not every person in the world can be realistically expected to care about the same achievements. That's what made Galar so special - the fact that it was actually taken seriously was unique compared to the other games. In Paldea, we have the opposite - it's a total afterthought, which also makes it unique. They've slowly been doing away with it because it's just limiting the series. Having to force in gyms somewhere stinks, especially next game which is going to be an archipelago of (majority) rural islands. Paldea barely even had gym puzzles. BB4 were strong, but they didn't have any of the usual fluff and were actual characters with a story outside of it.
Also, laying down and easily beating it is every official Pokemon game and always will be. It's an introductory series for a reason. Play fangames if you want difficulty.
There are a lot of things to critique about the game, like how it looks, or some of the animations, lack of voice acting, the DLC's map being uninspired and also a bunch of things that went unanswered (like, Lumiose used to have a gym, what happened to that kid? Where is he that he can't help with all this?) but it also does a lot right.
The characters are more memorable as a whole than anything from SwSh, XY and the earlier games. The dialogue is more modern and realistic. Customization is better than ever, and the battle system is pretty unique. (Note that all of these aside from customization are true of SV as well thanks to Tera) and the story actually existed. The models look like Play-doh, unfortunately, but they aren't extra saturated for no reason. Music is great. Most of the megas are really good. The offline Z-A thing is a story beat that doesn't last long, but they can't really have too many unique characters in a single game, especially when most Pokemon characters are one note. Online ranked is as meta based as the standard games.
It's a harmless game that makes up somewhat for not getting Pokemon Z back in the day, and it's a lot better than Gen 8 in it's entirety.

TLDR: You're going to hate the next game if you hated Z-A/SV's gameplay loop. It's going to be a lot more like BotW/Xenoblade X (though Lumiose is a pretty bland environment visually and to traverse tbf so it'll atleast be better than Lumiose)
There probably won't be any gyms (it's gonna be open-world Alola pretty much) or even an offline ranked battle thing like Z-A eventually gets. It's gonna be a lot less fighting and a lot more worldbuilding and exploration. I'm not even sure there'll be a 'bad guy' next game. It might just be one rogue legendary affecting its surroundings like with Pecharunt. But at the very least, the gameplay is gonna be like Gen 9 so you may as well stop buying the games for a few generations. Even then, I'm not sure they'll ever switch away from this open-zone thing.
