The main focus of this topic is to simply discuss what are the must have themes on a Mario Kart game, that are not only MC, BC & RR.
Here in one week I will make a poll with every answer, you will need to vote for 16 of them (I never made a poll, so I don't know if I can do that, for now, think I can), the 16 themes with more votes will be considered the ideal themes for a common MK game.
I also may make a new multicup using the winners, it will probably be called "Super Common Kart Project".

Desert and Beach track are also pretty common in MK, and yes except for MK7 there's always a nitro snow track in every "classic" game

You can just put something like "desert Track", but please, if you put a character name, do a little bit more information instead of only, for example, "DK Track".
You got tracks in towns like "Wii U Toad Harbor" or "DS Delfino Square". Also yeah, snow/desert/beach/rainbow road/bowser castle tracks are the most common in Mario Kart Games. I'm a bit confused, do you want to know common track themes or are you asking people for themes they want to see?
Anyway I'll go for most common themes for now as that's what the other comments are doing.
You got the generic starter circuit (not Mario Circuit)
A third non-Mario circuit track
Generic beach track
Forgettable ice/snow track
Spooky track, bonus points if it's a boardwalk
City track with moving cars
Desert track with no interesting theming
Hard sky track
Track with running water
Jungle track
Stadium track, bonus points if it's Wario

I'll probably take the second and third part out and put something like "I'll make a poll here in one week so you can decide which are the 16 more common themes", probably it'll be more straight forward.

I'm not sure that that's a must have theming. I'd say an Oriental track would be a must have(Nintendo suddenly remebered that they're a Japanese company in 2013, it feels like. Hands on Hall, Dragon Driftway, Origami King has a whole chapter, Min Min in ARMS, Bowser Kingdom in SMO, Ninja Hideaway...)
